This hotel was awesome, although no free breakfast. Starbucks, snacks, and a great bar. Friendly customer service from the employees. Nice pool area for family fun. Nice gym. Area is in a great location 20 mins from Norfolk and Va Beach.

I've been staying in Marriott properties (nearly exclusively) for over a decade and this was the worst "Marriott" on the map. The staff knew nothing about the premises, the wifi, or gold member benefits. The hallway leading up to our room was disgusting, and our room itself was dated and stained. The concierge lounge literally had 14 apples and NOTHING...

Was in Chesapeake for a family member's week long course. Checked in on Sunday, checked out Friday. First floor of the hotel is nice--bistro/lounge, sitting areas with tvs, games, and books. Bed and pillows were very good. Room and bathroom were clean. Towels were aged. Coffee supplies, only 1 pack of regular, 1 of deaf - I prefer 2 of each. Plenty of sugar which was nice. I found the staff to be very friendly and the room to be clean and comfortable. The pool area was crowded, but that's to be expected during summer vacation. We are frequent Marriott customers and I did not find my room to be unclean or outdated as previous reviews stated. It's not the nicest Marriott we've stayed in, but met...

Upon arrival the hotel barely resembles the one on the website picture, It appears as old and in need of update and exterior cleaning. On entry inside, the lobby has been updated and your ok until you go to your room. The bureau in my room had clothing left by previous guest...so not so sure when (or if) the room...

I have had a timershare with Marriott since the mid-90's, and have been staying at Marriott Hotels for years. The only bad experiences I have ever had have been at a few Fairfield Inns. Stayed three nights. Mrs. Tammy at the bar was truly amazing and accommodating. Very friendly and fun to chat with. Jeremy at the front desk does a great job of getting things done even in the busiest times. Food was top notch. Room was super clean and comfortable.

Had to relocate from another hotel; went online and found a fabulous rate for this hotel with a large, comfortable room with a king-sized bed. The only thing missing was a micro in the room (there was one next to the ice machine).

Checked in - front desk very nice. Got to assigned room and opened fridge to find dried vomit (yes, VOMIT) in the bottom of the fridge. Called down to front desk and was reassigned a room. Noticed dirt and crumbs all around the front desk, dirt and crumbs in front of the elevators, a layer of dust around the ice...
