The Inn at Monticello was a delightful surprise. It is a lovely converted farmhouse close to the many sights in the area. Bob and Carolyn, the owners, were particularly helpful with restaurant recommendations and travel advice. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms both comfortable and charming.

Charlottesville always has many activities from which to choose. The hiking path to Monticello is one of our favorite activites when we stay at the Inn. Excellent resturants are an easy drive into town. This is a fantastic getaway location.

We stayed at the Inn at Monticello for a Friday and Saturday night and what a wonderful treat. Our room was very tastefully done, extremely comfortable and close to many attractions. The breakfast was to die for but what made it all worth while was the hosts. The hosts were gracious and made us feel welcome with their warm and...

We stayed at this beautiful, historical inn recently and enjoyed every minute - from our warm, welcoming hosts to extreme comfort in our elegant room to the timely delicious breakfast shared with other guests. The weather provided a winter wonderland backdroup to visit Jefferson's and Monroe's homes a few miles away as well as Charlottesville that was alive with activity...

I visited the Inn at Monticello, about a month ago, as I was traveling from Maryland through Virginia. When I arrived, I noticed the stately porch and admired the house. Once inside, I noticed that it had lovely antiques, fireplace, hospitable living room (and hosts), as well as a large, gracious table. Bob and Carolyn had provided cookies and brownies...

PROS - Owners were very nice and the inn very cute as a whole. You're even greeted with a warm fire, bottled water whenever you want, home cooked breakfast and cookies at night. The location is also great - located a couple miles from downtown Charlottesville and close access to the highway, which reaches all the great wineries like Veritas...

Yes we agree, this couple would be better off staying in a hotel! The reviewers stayed upstairs in the former master bedroom of our 1856 home. This guestroom has a wood-burning fireplace, but the entire Inn is also centrally heated to 70 degrees. Throughout the weekend no one, including these guests, mentioned being cold! Our website also clearly indicates this...

We had a perfect two-night stay at the Inn at Monticello. It is a large, beautiful, historic home run by a very gracious couple. The family-style breakfasts in the morning were delicious. But the best part was sitting on the big front porch, watching the deer on the huge lawn, with a glass of wine and hors-d'oeuvres in the afternoon!

The Inn at Monticello is a fantastic Bed and Breakfast inn. The hostess and assistant manager are exceptionally personable and knowledgeable of the area. They go out of their way to make their guests feel at home and like family. It is convenient to tours of Monticello and other historic sites as well as the U of VA. The rooms...

Great location, superb Inn Keepers/Staff. Great guest. Breakfast = super! Stayed in the cottage that had nice amentities, great bed and bath. Room enough to relax during a rain storm too. However, I’d caution staying in the metal roof cottage during late Sept/Early Oct as the Black Walnut Tree’s falling Nuts which left something to be desired if you wanted...

The Inn at Monticello is a very nice B&B and is in the perfect location for touring Monticello and a fantastic base for the area wineries. The owners were either out of town or had a day off, so we were greeted by their lovely assistant - a fellow UVA grad, who immediately suggested a glass of wine out on...
