Rooster Hill B&B was a perfect spot to relax while exploring the beautiful mountains and farmlands of Charlottesville and visiting our daughter at the University of Virginia. Larry, the owner was very accomodating and the studio apartment was private, spacious, comfortable and shiny clean. We had fun visiting with the chickens, and enjoyed the fresh eggs and homemade bread for...

If your trip is all about Charlottesville and only Charlottesville, Rooster Hill may be a just a bit far out for you. Also not your place if you want a fully prepared breakfast. But if you are there to enjoy the journey, not just the destination, it's a great choice. GPS will easily negotiate the ca. 20 minute drive, including...

Larry & Dina are wonderful hosts, friendly, warm, helpful, full of excellent local knowledge. The house is really beautiful, the perfect combination of classic country charm and modern, clean comfort (wifi, kitchen appliances, etc). I would go back to Charlottesville just to stay at Rooster Hill!

My wife and I spent Labor Day weekend in Room 2 and we had a great time. The room was nice and had everything we needed. Breakfast in the morning was fresh eggs and home baked bread, along with homemade blueberry jam. Larry was extremely nice, great to have a chat with, and very helpful with getting anything we needed,...

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights while moving her back to UVa for the new school year. The setting is lovely, located as it is in pastoral woodlands near the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Yet it is only a few minutes drive to nearby Charlottesville, making it ideal for those wanting the best of both...

The bucolic setting is very relaxing; having grown up in a rural environment the sound of crowing roosters was a welcome form of alarm clock. As noted by the other reviewers, the fresh breakfast components were an interesting approach; the Cohens operate without staff, and it's fun to concoct something from the ingredients they provide, The biggest surprise proved to...

We just spent Graduation Weekend at the Rooster Hill Bed & Breakfast. We could not have asked for a more perfect weekend. Both rooms were so inviting and comfortable. The Cohens have thought of everything that you might need. They even had games tucked away in a cabinet for family fun. Loved the fresh eggs, milk, and orange juice. Immediately...

We came across this bed and breakfast online when looking for a quiet weekend getaway. This was a perfect fit to what we were looking for. It was quiet, comfortable and very private. We loved the idea of preparing our own breakfast with the fresh eggs, orange juice, homemade bread and jam. It is close to all the nearby attractions...

My review is late, my apologies. My neice and I spent a couple of nights at Rooster Hill in April 2013. The location is tranquil. The room was very clean, comfortable and cozy. Larry and Dina were lovely hosts, providing us with fresh eggs from their own hens as well as freshly baked bread and breakfast items. They were gracious...
