Smaller but well kept campground along the creek. Sites were full hook up, but cable TV wasn't good. Owner was super nice. Easy to get to. Site seemed a little farther apart than normal which is nice. The greenbelt runs along side the creek joining the park which leads into town. This greenbelt is a paved walking/ biking trail.
We stayed there the week of Thanksgiving. Being the off-season, most of the campers there were full timers it seemed. It was very quiet. We travel with two German Shepherds and the best thing about Big Stone Gap for us was the three mile Greenbelt walking trail around town. People decorated displays for Christmas and it was fun to see all the lights.
We camped at this park this past week and rode motorcycles during the day. The park is very clean and beautiful with a stream running through it and flowers and full size trees. The staff are like family. Many, many roads just minutes away through the mountains in every direction for motorcycle enthusiasts. You won't be disappointed.
Really cute little park. People were friendly. Check out the owners art work. He’s very talented. Easy pull throughs. The park is clean and well maintained. A pretty little river runs along side. Take a walk and explore the town.
Loved this place. Quiet peaceful beautiful park set on a rolling stream. Reasonable pricing as well. Nice spots for your RV. 30 amp. service / water and sewer hook up. Has public Wi-Fi .Some spots are just feet away from the stream. It's the only RV park will ever stay in when visiting the area.
