Andy and Sue made us feel right at home and were excellent hosts. Their bed and breakfast is off the beaten path and is just lovely. Very nice accommodations and beautiful landscaping make this place very special. We had a wonderful time!

I do a lot of overnight travel. "The Roost" offers Large, tastefully decorated, well appointed rooms with a beautiful country setting. I attended my daughters graduation at Liberty U and the 30 minute drive to The Roost was a small price to pay for the great accomodations and service. Andy and Sue are great conversationalists who look forward to getting... More

Sue and Andrew are wonderful host. Sue's garden is beautiful for early spring. Breakfast was good and filling. After a stressful day, we did not feel like going out for dinner. Andrew was kind enough to go get a pizza for us. They treated us like family.

We can't say enough wonderful things about our experience at the Roost. From the moment we drove up, we knew we'd stay an extra night if they had room for us....and then it got even better. It has 11 beautiful acres to explore, really delicious (!!!!!) breakfast, friendly and gregarious hosts in Andrew and Sue and a clean room with... More

Beautiful location with terraced steps in back yard to a duck pond, fabulous breakfast, and just a few minutes from the great hiking in the Peaks of Otter area of the Blue Ridge Parkway! Sue and Andrew are incredibly thoughtful, and warm and friendly. This B&B is even better than its great reviews suggest!

Quiet, peaceful, beautiful location, great property and people inside and out, and fabulous food... This is our second stay in a bread and breakfast; we definitely hit the jackpot both times. This is really beautiful countryside; you're going to wish you could move into this small, close knit neighborhood. Took a walk after dinner and ran into one of the... More

My 20 year old daughter and I had a wonderful visit at the Roost. I took my daughter back to Liberty University and all the hotels were booked for the first night in Lynchburg. After much searching online for a hotel, I noticed the Roost had availability AND great reviews at Tripadvisor. The experience was delightful and was everything and... More

“We stayed in "The Nest". I was concerned that two twins made into a king would not be comfortable. Rest assured, we had a perfect night's sleep and would never have known it was two beds!”

“We needed to accommodate two couples and two children and this was the place which could do it. The price was very reasonable considering other options for graduation weekend. If we had gotten a hotel we would have needed two rooms and the costs would have been much higher than what we had to pay. This was therefore a great value. All the other rooms accommodate two people - I don't know about any children in them.”
