The Pines is a great resort community with quick access to the Bryce Resort which has tonnes of activities - for all seasons. For the Summer, we were able to enjoy mountain tubing, zip lines and mountain bikes. There was also a Bryce Fest which provided loads of fun for kids. Fireworks at night were the cherry on top. The...

There wasn't really anything for kids to do except mountain biking. So they were pretty much bored out of their minds. There was little to no wi-fi service and if there was, it was locked. The units were good but there could be some more lighting. I was also pretty bored and there is a long drive to get out...

What a great place to spend a week. The location and chalet were perfect. There were only 4 of us(2 couples) but there was definitely room for 4 more people. The kitchen was well equipped and perfect for cooking, which is something we enjoy. The Deck was great place for having late afternoon or early evening cocktails. The wood burning...

We traded a timeshare to stay here, planning for some R&R and to catch the Nascar race in Martinsville. We were here during hurricane Sandy and were left on our own. There were six adults and one roll of toilet paper. We had to go out during the storm and buy our own because housekeeping never got back to us....

We chose The Pines because we were looking for a quiet place to get away from it all and relax. And this was exactly what we found at the Pines! I was very nervous about the resort after reading all the terrible reviews. But I was very pleasantly surprised to find that it was exactly what we were looking for....

I booked this placed online through RCI. We were to get unit# 8 which slept 8 private and had a jacuzzi, sauna, and game room with a ping pong table so of course everyone of us in my party of 6 going packed bathing suits and ping pong paddles. We were late for check-in so we rec'd our key at a...

I agree with the previous reviewers regarding the Pines. If you are looking for a clean, inexpensive comfortable place to relax, The Pines is a good place for you. With kitchen facilities in the suite, it was easy to keep expenses down. Moreover, from what I could see, you have to go pretty far afield to find fine dining- we...

If you are going to relax and do absolutely nothing this is the place for you. It is very clean and the staff tries hard to help but I would not go again. We own at Massanutten and I guess we are spoiled. The kids drove us nuts with the "nothing to do". They have a small pool and tennis...

We own a week in early April, and enjoy getting away from the Florida heat and humidity to spend time in the Shenandoah Valley. The spring foliage can be very colorful and beautiful. We love the fact that firewood is provided for the timeshare units, along with a Sunday Washington Post. We love having a fire going in the fireplace....

With some timeshare apartments you get the "wow" factor, i.e when you first walk in and see the high standard of furnishings and decor you say "Wow! I wish I could live here." Well, The Pines is definitley not like that - there is no "wow" factor. So why do I give the resort such a high rating? I've read...
