We recently visited The White House Inn, for a two night stay. The accommodations were delightful, with antiques and period details in every room. Our two-room suite was cozy with a wood burning fire place, huge balcony and very comfortable king four-poster bed. The staff - wonderful; food - delicious; atmosphere - amazing. Will definitely be back!

I needed a setting that would be perfect for our engagement. I asked the owners to have the room prepared upon our arrival in order for me to propose the moment that we walked in. It all hinged on them .... and they came through!!! It was perfect!!! The room was beautiful. Fireplace in the room, plenty of wood to...

The White House has a commanding location and some beautiful rooms for guest use we were given a different room from the one we booked - this was an 'upgrade' it had a lovely view ,nice decor and a comfortable bed. Stacey, the owner, was helpful and even did some washing for us.Our biggest disappointment came from the restaurant - the...

We arrived and received a very cold glance. Actually had to chase someone down to help us. Our room was paid in advance so we stayed, the place was not really like the pictures. There were spiders all over the dusty rooms, bathrooms were not clean. We felt watched for the two days we were there. Not friendly to children....

What a beautiful and quaint hotel. I travelled on business and was welcomed warmly by the owner. The service was exceptional and personal, just what you need when preparing for a business meeting, nothing seemed too much trouble for them. I was taken by the position of the hotel and the views from the terraces whilst the sun set in...

Dead bugs on the steps walking up to the room, mold in the tub under the bath mat, our feet were black from walking in the room barefoot, broken saddle between rooms with exposed rusty nails, toilet seat needed to be replaced it was old and scratched. Room faced Route 9 and it was very noisy at night, the sound...

The Inn is just lovely. Though hard to believe, It was once a former home! It sits atop a hill and views of the mountains around can be seen from the various terraces. The room we had was large, beautifully furnished and air conditioned! I caught a glimpse of other rooms and they were all handsome. The breakfasts were satisfying,...

From the moment we arrived (greeted with a nasty "may I help you?") to the room (small, dark, no airconditioning, very tiny bath room) to dinner (untrained waitress, modest food) to miserable breakfast (how can you ruin a poached egg?) lack of staff one morning (hostess had to waitress and cook for 14 people) the experience was awful. The owner...

All four of us enjoyed the dinner very much. Service was good and not intrusive. Duckling especially was delicious. Beautiful building and tavern area and stunning view at sunset. A lovely experience all too rare in this area. The gardens and new landscaping are just beautiful. Wine selection was good. For once, I got a Reisling that I could drink....

I traveled to Marlboro for my son's college Graduation in mid-May. I booked a room at the White House Inn specifically since I had been to the Inn a couple of times over the past two years, for lunch and dinner, and for cocktails in their bar which has a fabulous view. Although we loved our room, and received an...
