The Austrian Haus is just ok. When we arrived at the room, the front door and back door were wide open. There was old chip bags, ski glove, etc. under the bed. We pointed both of these issues to the owners but did not get much sympathy. We asked to be compensated but they never answered us. Rustic does not...

I honestly don't remember anyone coming to me about any such issues during that week. Nor do I remember anyone asking me for any compensation for that weekend. If doors were left open that would be an issue in winter, unless you checked in early and the housekeepers were still here working, and we let you in early with the...

Having checked out the website before booking our weekend...there were no surprises when we arrived except that it was nicer than anticipated. No, there are no phones, refrigerators, microwaves or wifi in the rooms, BUT, this is a lodge and one must not judge it as they would a motel or hotel. It was old and quaint, but clean and...

Honestly, I'd give Austrian Haus a 2 rating if it weren't for the incredible owners of this lodge. The owners are so accommodating, gracious and lovely that I'd give them, by themselves a 5 star rating. But I have to remain as impartial as possible. The lodge lobby is rustic and "Vermont" woodsy feeling, like you'd expect. Warm and inviting....

Thank You for your review, 1st let me say we have a fire alarm system in the building that is wired to directly call the fire dept. automatically. As for any emergencys, there is a phone that calls me right by the lobby door any time. I've been here 25 years, long before internet was even a thought, and never...

M friend was working as a ski instructor this winter in Vermont. One day after work we had gone to the gourmet grocery store in town and saw a flyer for Indian Food at the Austrian Haus Lodge. They only do it one weekend a month in the winter time - so we decided to check it out. We first...

The Inn is about 3 miles from Mt. Snow. Very convenient to local restaurants and shops. If you are looking for a reasonably priced ski getaway with comfortable accommodations, book here. The owners Ketan and Shital are fabulous people. They do everything to make you feel at home. They have a warm and cozy common area, where the owners are...

This hotel is awful. The rooms are dirty and depressing. The beds are tiny, carpet from the 60s and no wifi anywhere except the lobby. You have to walk outside to get to your room. We didn't even stay the night, we left after seeing the room. It was that bad. Management did nothing when we told them our concerns...

The guests , here had booked a 3 night stay, and wanted to cancel out on arrival day, we charged only our cancellation fee as was stated to them, 1 night, not the whole stay. Also no where does it say that we have WIFI everywhere in the hotel, it is stated on our website . The room in question...

Its not a high-end, expensive, state-of-art lodge (which comes with a price), but a cozy place to unwind after a hard day on the ski slopes. Rooms are bit smaller, but good enough for a family with small kids, clean and odor free. Large break room, dinning room to sit back and relax, indoor warm swimming pool which the kids...

Truly the dirtiest motel I have ever had the misfortune to stay at. Dark, tiny room with lumpy mattresses. Tiny outdated bathroom, had someones dirty washcloth still hanging on the shower curtain rod, dirt or something resembling feeces on the wall over the back of the toilet. Residue of a former residents drinks on top of the dresser. The heat...

Sorry that you had a bad experience, however, when you stay somewhere for a couple nights and not say anything to us about any problems, until the morning that you are leaving and demanding a reduction in rates, I tend to not listen as well about the problems you had. Even though I did give you a break in the...

I stayed here over the weekend for a ski trip. As I walked in my room, I immediately noted the stained carpets. I travel a lot and have never seen anything like this. The mattress was very old and sunken in the middle with no one laying in it. It was a non-smoking room but still stunk of smoke. I...
