First time staying at a B&B and it was awesome. Duane and Leah made me feel at home and the decor was very relaxing.Everything about the Grunberg Haus was perfect and looking forward to visiting again soon.

We visited Vermont earlier this month for a family getaway, and we couldn't be happier with our time at the Grunberg Haus. The location is perfect for a trip to the slopes, if that's your thing. While at the house, we enjoyed some time in front of a relaxing fire, then a few games of pool in the billiards room.... More

Beautifully decorated inn with scenic outdoor view from rooms. Duane and Leah were the most gracious hosts. Couldn't have thought of a better place to stay at during my Vermont trip. Can't wait to come here again.

I stayed at Grunberg Haus for one night in early November 2016 while my daughter was visiting Norwich University (about 30 mins away). I was greeted very warmly by Duane when I arrived later in the evening and was treated to a roaring bonfine that was the perfect, cozy activity for the night. It was great sitting around, looking at... More

We had a perfectly wonderful getaway at Grunberg! We were warmly greeted by Duane who happily and proudly showed us around. The common areas are so welcoming whether it was relaxing by the fire or having the communal breakfast (it's true what others say, it's delicious), or playing in the game room or pool room. There is a perfect sense... More

This place is the perfect getaway! Not only is it beautifully hidden in the woods, The inns location is perfect! It's in a peaceful quiet town yet, minutes away from many great attractions. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are very well kept and clean as well as the rest of the inn. The hosts(Leah & Duane)are very welcoming,... More

Our second stay here and we will be back (hopefully on Christmas break!). A great value just a short distance from the center of town. Nestled on a mountainside, this little gem is everything I hope for on a New England vacation. My wife and I enjoyed the billiards room before going to dinner each night and relaxing fireside before... More

One of our favorite places to have a get away from the city. Both of us being from Boston love to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax in the woods. Not having cell service and not TV in our room has really broaden our horizons to meeting and talking to new people! We always meet the coolest... More

We had an amazing weekend at Grunberg Haus and cannot wait to return for the ski season. Very true-to-style Tyrolean architecture in the mountains made it feel like the Austrian Alps. New inn owners Duane and Leah have found their calling. From a warm welcome at our car to building a fire so our kids could make s'mores, they were... More

Booked two nights to celebrate my wife's Birthday. We planned to get up early and hike Camel's Hump. On vacation we either camp or do the B&B thing. We're not hard to please, but this place was not good at all. We booked Room 3, which is located above the fireplace room. Noise from the downstairs was so loud it... More

I'm sorry for your experience. We had a couple military families on break celebrating Veterans Day, and we opened up the living room to them to have a fire and spend the evening together. We normally ask for a curfew of 10pm, but I failed to suggest the curfew to them. As new owners, we were unaware of how the... More
