I needed a cost-effective place to stay in Stowe recently, while traveling on business. I found Fiddlers Green Inn, and talked to Bud, the owner. Upon my arrival, I was greeted at the door by Bud, whom I liked immediately. The Inn is an old farmhouse. It's rustic, but very clean, and Bud is a hoot! My room overlooked the...

We stayed for the weekend towards the end of March 2011 and had a great stay. The location is excellent, very close to Stowe ski resort and several good places to get food or drinks. As noted in other reviews the rooms and bathrooms are not large or new by any means but it's very cozy, clean and comfortable. You...

I chose this place solely because it was next to a beautiful rushing brook. I dreamed of my husband and I sitting next to the babbling brook, having our sundowners while watching the autumn leaves fall. We were able to do just that. In doing my homework on line and in person while we were there, this seems to be...

My wife and I stayed here for a lil ski trip this year. It was a great place to stay and so near the ski slopes! It was great coming back after a day of skiing to walk in and see a fire going in the fire place. My wife and I would sit in the living room reading books...

My boyfriend and I arrived on a Thursday looking for a weekend of skiing and relaxing - relatively low maintenance. Budd greated us warmly (he must have heard our car approaching), complete with a tour of the inn - dining recommendations (beer and burger night at the Shed! Good call!) and "getting to the mountain in the morning" advice. He...

Fiddlers Green Inn made me feel very much at home with a warm welcome. The guest living room and the brookside patio are excellent places to relax, as well as the swings in the garden. The breakfasts were super. My bedroom and bath room though small were tidy and spotless. I made reservations for the winter ski season ! Absolutly...

While immaculately clean, this hotel is very rustic and small. Walls are very thin (you can hear your neighbor's conversations easily, thank goodness they were only talking, if you know what I mean!) The the innkeeper is very nice and the fellow guests are friendly, but I would not recommend this for a romantic getaway, or to someone who values...

Great Value for the money, excellent breakfasts. Clean. A small farm house style B+B, not for the resort minded or those looking for a motel. Close to the bike trails and very accomodating hosts
