Edson Hill won a Conde Nast award in 2015 and it was well deserved. The hotel is in a great location, off the beaten track, but close to Stowe and attractions like the Ben & Jerry factory in Waterbury. We stayed in a King Room which boasted the most comfortable bed we had on our 3 week trip, a lovely...

My wife and I did a 10 day road trip through New England for our honeymoon and we fortunate enough to get to spend two nights here as we passed through Vermont. I've had the fortune of staying at some great inns and resorts and this easily can be added to that list. The setting is beautiful, the staff was...

We just returned from a lovely two nights stay at Edson Hill. Attention to detail there is outstanding, from the warm and welcoming reception area to the furnishings & décor in the rooms. The property affords multiple opportunities for hikes, visiting the horses, and pure relaxation. The creative breakfast offerings were delicious. My only regret is that we did not...

My husband and I stayed in one of the "cabins" with a fireplace and soaking tub. All the rooms are beautifully appointed, charming, relaxing. The linens, throws and pillows are all lovely. Our only complaint (minor one!) is that the sliding barn door to the bathroom only has a handle on the exterior which makes closing it from inside the...

I should have written this ages ago as we actually visited last Fall. I wouldn't have bothered except now, one year on, and this place continually pops into my head when I want to whisk myself away from the usual humdrum of life. If a place can do that, it must be pretty special. It is. Beautifully furnished, friendly staff,...

Edson Hill is one of the most enchanting, charming and romantic inns we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. It truly was a perfect and memorable stay from start to finish. The location is stunning, and the grounds are gorgeous and picturesque, with rolling hills and barns and grazing horses and a little pond. The inn is decorated so...

awaits you at this lovely country lodge....the scene was stunningly beautiful and took our breath away ..Rooms are located in the lodge (slightly less expensive) or in cottages behind the lodge building. We chose the latter , it was spacious, modern, comfortable, bright and decorated thoughtfully. Cannot fault the room at all nor the staff, all of whom were helpful...

Location of the Inn was close to town, and the spacious grounds of the property were beautifully maintained. Walking the grounds around the pond and adjacent trails was a delight. Staff was accommodating, and the restaurant was an unexpected treat. Be sure to not miss a drink in the cozy pub downstairs, or hang in the beautifully appointed living room...

This place was top notch! On arrival, we were greeted for our two day stay warmly and told that we were in one of the chalet rooms - not in the main house. However, this was a good thing, in fact a very good thing, as the room we were given was first class. After lighting the fire in the...

Throughout our visit through the New England countryside I will have to say we enjoyed our stay the most at Edson Hill. The rooms are Restoration Hardware in style and well appointed with your owner well stocked fireplace and ready to be lit everyday. The grounds are beautiful with a huge pond, horses grazing and the colors of fall everywhere....
