Let's begin by stating the obvious - THIS IS NO RESORT. We typically head up to VT several times a year - this was an unplanned trip and accomodations were hard to come by and decided to take a chance with the place - bad idea. It seems like the hotel is on the verge of

Our stay was pretty disappointing. Been there many times in the past, but hadn't been back in a few years. It has really fallen apart. Nice facade, but filthy carpets and exposed wires? Won't be back.

Filthy carpeting. Wasn't like this in the past.
Exposed wires hanging from the ceiling. Are they live?
Dried blood on sheets
which room numbers are on the second floor?
I'm not sure about numbers exactly, but Tim is correct, there is a separate building across the parking lot that may be what you are referring to. I didn't stay in that section so I can't speak to it; but I highly caution choosing to stay here. It was falling apart and I was eaten alive by bed bugs

Stowe is pretty small and accessible by car. I'm not familiar with the Stowehoff but it says its near Ben and Jerrys so it should be just a short drive away. The Mountain Road Resort is closer to Stowe Center.

"Ask for one that is newer and updated. Maybe they have them."
"do not accept a room with connected door if not needed by your family, way too loud."
"Don't book here. Its dirty, the service is terrible and the lack of heat in the winter is a public safety hazard."
"Avoid the St. Anton Room in the winter. It's unheated."
