We enjoyed our stay - a gorgeous location and our room was great. We chose this hotel as it said it was dog friendly and our plan was to walk along the trails on the property with her but dogs were not allowed on the trails. That was frustrating.' Otherwise it was a great spot, with friendly staff and very...

This has a rustic European charm to it. They have a lovely view from high on the hill where they are located. The property is spread out with several buildings comprising the complex. They have a lovely library and game room perfect for unwinding after a day in the snow. The cocktail lounge features live music. It is a little...

Absolutely fantastic setting with a world class Nordic trail system located next to the lodge property. Beautiful trails for ski and snowshoeing in winter. The lodge offers a large assortment of different types of rooms. Best to go to the Trapp Lodge website and call for an explanation of the type of room and view it has. Views are important,...

We stayed in a Guest House from February 7, 2015 thru February 14, 2015. Every Saturday, there is a wine tasting at the Trapp Lodge at 4:00 pm. We like to go, but it does conflict with settling into the unit. The solution is to go to the wine tasting first and ask the Porters for help. They will carry...

If you can't relax here you don't need to be traveling. It snowed our whole way here & poured snow while we were unloading the car. It snowed another inch last night, the slopes are100% open & the maple syrup sap is going to rise again later in the week. We will snow shoe in & watch the gathering of...

We got a great rate at this property for the first weekend in January. Its a little far from the downtown area, but perfect for cross country skiing. Because the hotel itself is a tourist size, during the day it can be rather busy. We booked a basic room, but were pleasantly surprised. We were given a room at the...

This hotel is really the ideal place to stay in Stowe. True it's on the pricey side and slightly further from the downtown area, so having a car is a huge plus, but the location is perfect if you enjoy being in a quiet private setting. Trapp Family rooms are quite nice, some ski in-out. We've stayed in premium rooms...

Our family stayed at the Von Trapp family lodge for two nights in mid-March. We took the Family suite, which is one large room with a king bed, and a second room with two twin beds. The rooms were spacious and clean. My only complaint was a lack of natural light. The main room had one small window and the...

We enjoyed our long weekend at the lodge. We booked a family suite and were pleasantly surprised by its large size. The room was slightly dated (but fit the charm they are going for) and dark, but would be great for any family with 2+ kids. Turn-down service with chocolates was a treat, although the housekeeping wasn't as attentive as...

As many reviewers said, this is a top notch resort with great service and great facilities. Our room was great - a tiny bit 'dated' perhaps, but overall very, very nice - we had windows looking out both the front and the back which you certainly don't see in most hotel rooms. And this resort is very dog friendly -...
