There were 41 of us on a tour that stayed here for two nights. I didn't hear one complaint, only compliments about the accommodations, staff and food. My husband and I especially enjoyed relaxing in the lounge by the fire, listening to the pianist. Mike, the bartender, was efficient and friendly without being intrusive. All of the staff were friendly...

Our family returned for another February week's stay in a Trapp Family Guest House. Our visit was wonderful, as usual. The cross-country skiing was excellent - they reopened several miles of trail that make some of the higher elevations more accessible to less experienced skiers. The kids enjoyed the pool and baking classes. On-site massages were very much appreciated by...

Thank you for taking the time to let us know how much you enjoyed your week at our resort. We highly value the input from our long-time loyal guests and are, of course, delighted to know when the experience is "another fabulous trip". It sounds like you make good use of activities offered and are experienced skiers who enjoy both...

How do solve a problem like a work trip? You make friends with the staff at your lodging! The Trapp Family lodge is a picaresque little lodge in Vermont's even more picaresque town of Stowe. All of the staff go out of their way to accomodate guests, but in my experience the crown jewel of the lodge was the lounge,...

I was only 16 years old when I went to the Trapp Family Lodge for the first time, the year was 1967 and it was the original lodge built in 1943 by the Von Trapp's themselves. As a special treat I got to meet the 'real' Maria, I assure you, she was no Julie Andrews! Sadly the lodge burned down...

Thank you for writing a review of your experience at our resort. How nice that you were able to visit the original lodge before it burned in 1980. You visited before they had the cross country trails built in 1968! Thank you for your compliments of the rebuilt lodge and the cuisine. We also appreciate that you mention the actual...

I had wanted to stay at this hotel ever since I saw "Sound of Music" as a child. However, our group of two families (7 people total) was disappointed by the reality. (Well, the two 8-year-old boys were perfectly content, thanks to the indoor pool). My primary complaint is that both the hotel and the fitness center are sorely overdue...

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. Our hotel is planning a major room renovation project beginning in April of this year to address your assessment of this need. We sincerely apologize that you were not given information about our common areas with fireplaces that are located on the second and third floors of...

Bit of a strange experience, everything Sound of Music themed and I mean Everything. We were on an American Holidays fly/drive tour and this beauty was probably meant to be the icing on the apfel strudel. Amazing pool, jacuzzi area, v well run. Hotel v expensive to eat in (try ordering a Trapp Family free range egg for breakfast -...

We spent 5 days in March at a Trapp Family Guest House, which has been in the family for years but this was my first time back in over 15 years. Always had amazing March Break ski vacations growing up and I was a little worried after all these years that the resort would be worn down and spoil my...

I always go to the Resort for beer tasting; however, I stayed at the Lodge for a weekend when I found it was dog friendly. I stayed in the main building and was the last room on the floor. The nice thing about this was that we could cross country ski right out of the Lodge and onto the cross...

For 35 years we have been coming to our guest house at Trapp and this year was another great one. We arrived a day early and stayed at the lodge, great decision. Although the snow this year on the mountain was good, there was no cross country except for the notch road. A magical lodge inn a magical place.

It is always a pleasure to read a review from one of our most loyal guests and how much they enjoyed their stay and love the lodge. This is our second time going to Trapps for a family get away. We have been both in hiking season as well as ski season. The nordic lessons are awesome!
