We selected Estabrook House as a waypoint between Connecticut and Quebec City. The old mansion is attractively located across from a small park in an upscale historic section of an entirely historic town. The B&B is presided over by Maurine, its friendly and gracious owner/hostess. We booked the Juliet Room for its private bath (good shower), and enjoyed the book...

We were Maurine's only guests during our stay in the Juliet room with private bath. The other three rooms have a single bathroom although one room has a sink. We've stayed in a lot of places over the years and view them as an escape so the lack of television in the rooms bothered us not at all. It was...

We did a 5 day whistle-stop tour around New England as 'leaf-peepers': St Johnsbury was our furthest point north. Maurine gave us a warm welcome and recommended an excellent-value restaurant for dinner as well as giving us some must-see suggestions for the following day before we headed off. Our room was a very good size and breakfast was very good....

...we had a 1 night stop in Estabrook and it was fine, but nothing special. When we arrived our host met us and was very friendly. We were shown to our room, and it was a good size and the bed was great. The shelves were a little dusty and the little balcony/porch area was a nice, if useless addition....

Good evening Lorna, Thank you for taking time to review your stay at the house. I greatly appreciate your feedback and I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. I realize from your comment about the coffee that I must have startled you when I came from the kitchen and so my offer of the carafe of coffee...

The Estabrook house is a beautifully restored Victorian home. Maureen, the owner and B&B Hostess is friendly and knowledgable about the local area. And the breakfast she prepared in the morning was fantastic (yogurt parfaits and pumpkin pancakes!) We stayed in the Juliet room, which had its own private bath. For the most part, the stay was fine but we...

Good morning, Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay. I'm very sorry about the inconveniences you encountered while you were here. No commercial signs are allowed in the historic district so I'm still working with the Historic Review Committee to determine what type of "identifier" for the house can be used. I should have something on...

Estabrook House is a beautiful victorian house. Maureen has been working for years to restore it to it glory years. The room was very inviting with an ensuite bathroom. The breakfast was wonderful, the best roasted rosemary potatoes we have ever had.

Estabrook House is a lovely home in a beautiful quiet neighbourhood. We booked the Juliet room with private ensuite bath, comfy queen bed, A/C, original stained glass windows over single hung windows and a private Juliet balcony. Very comfortable and inviting room with plenty of maps and information from the area. Breakfast was a fresh loaf of sweet walnut bread,...

Attended a wedding in St. Johnsbury and stayed two nights at the Estabrook House. A beautiful victorian house full of character. Our room was air conditioned which was fortunate as it was unusually warm during our stay. We enjoyed wine one evening on the front porch and listened to a summer thunder/rain storm sweep in. Maureen's breakfast's were lovely. St....

A beautiful Victorian near the downtown. Well appointed, our bed was very comfortable, and the room was equipped with the extras not often found -- extra outlets, plenty of towels, etc. The hostess, Maurine, was very welcoming. She cooked a great breakfast and gave us a small loaf of bread to take with us when we left.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay in this restored historic home. Breakfast was delicious and the home was very quiet with rooms to relax and read or socialize. It's just a short walk to the Saint Johnsbury Athenaeum and the Natural History Museum which were both highlights of your visit. We highly recommend the Estabrook House
