We have stayed at the Middlebury Inn a number of times and have never been disappointed. The rooms are very comfortable, the building majestic and the staff friendly and accommodating. We will return.

Annex room was very disappointing, I did not know that my travel agent had booked me one, but the inn is lovely and restaurant very good. The Annex rooms are motel rooms. Musty smell, outdated and worn, noisy.

This is a very beautiful property in the heart of Middlebury. The lobby area is very inviting and the little bar area is nice for a night cap. The rooms are a bit dated but I guess that is to be expected with an older property. While the beds were comfortable, I didn't care for the old fashioned shiny bedspread... More

Overall, ok experience. considering how old the hotel Is and how they only provide the bare minimum of service; they are pricey. One advice: Bring your own towel. Towels are so hard they will cut you!

Definitely worth a visit if you are not working and not trying to keep a schedule. I would like to see this place thrive. Someone who loves this place and is steeped in its history needs to take charge and inspire the staff. Unusable Wifi. Laissez fair dinning experience, although the food was very good. Horrible images on the bar... More

I've stayed at the Middlebury Inn several times and each time was excellent - I've booked rooms in the Inn and in the annex and each were clean and accommodating. This time I brought my dog along and the accommodations couldn't have been better. Thanks for having pet-friendly rooms!Perfect location to walk around town and visit the local restaurants and... Our reservation was buggered up; I suspect if I didn't have an email showing the correct reservation, I would have not gotten accomdation. We had to switch room during our stay. The restaurant was expensive and the quality and presentation didn't justify the prices. The amenities were lacking. Not even a free coffee urn a free USA Today! No pool... More

Recently I went to Middlebury, VT for a long weekend. I called at the last minute and the clerk assisting me was polite, efficient, and genuinely pleasant. The hotel has a great location, not far from the downtown/college area and across the street from a small shopping plaza with a grocery store and a MacDonalds! Also it is convenient to... More

Middlebury is a beautiful Vermont town, with lots of restaurants, interesting architecture, river walk, arts and culture just a few steps from the inn. Middlebury College is within walking distance. A short drive from the inn there are magnificent views of dairy farms and vistas, including Vermont's Green Mountains, New York's Adirondacks and 100+ mile long Lake Champlain.

My stay at the Inn was a great experience. It was my first time to Middlebury and the Inn is located in near all of the major attractions, restaurants, shops, parks, and Churches. The food at the Breakfast buffet was prepared very well and it was a delight to the palate! The room accommodations were comfy and practical. The staff... More
