After last summer's "vacation" (a week confined with a 2 year old in a cramped beach condo and 100 degree temperatures), my husband and I wondered if it was possible to relax with a toddler. We'd heard about the Family Camp concept in church circles, did some research, and we found Ohana. We went sight unseen, with minimal expectations. It...

Went here not sure what to expect. It was 100% outstanding. Very professional and friendly staff, excellent food choices which was all buffet style for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The activities provided for everyone was out of this world. The best about it was you never saw anyone on any sort of media and actually talking and spending time with family and...

We held my daughter's wedding here in September of 2015 and could not have asked for a better experience. Vanessa was as helpful as if she were one of the family. The facilities were perfect and beyond our expectations. The view that was backdrop for the wedding was amazing! The girls each had their own cabin to dressing with their...

Remember when you were a kid and went to sleep away camp? Do you remember calling mom/dad on the 2nd or 3rd day crying to come home? Well family camp is the answer: you ALL get to go to sleep away camp together! Great for beginners. Our family of four (two kids, 9 & 11) were looking for an active...

While Vermont might not conjure up images of Leis and Poi, the spirit of Aloha is alive and well at Ohana, a family camp in the finest of unplugged summer camp traditions. The Aloha Foundation runs 3 overnight camps, one day camp, an outdoor education center, and Ohana, which is strictly for families. The original camps were founded in 1905,...

Our experience involved 2 grandparents, 2 families (my son and daughter-in-law) and (my daughter and son-in-law), and 5 grandchildren (ages 2 to 7 years). Tent camping was acceptable, but inconvenient for my pregnant daughter because of communal bathroom for tent campers. We 2 grandparents stayed in a cabin with private bathroom and full kitchen. Numerous diverse activities with excellent facilities...

Ohana means "family" in Hawaiian. Well, this camp certainly lived up to its name. From the moment my kids (aged 9 and 11) and I arrived, we were treated just like family and made to feel right at home. Our cabin was surprisingly spacious and very clean. The food was delicious and enjoyed by adults and picky children alike. My...

The concern I have about writing this review is that this camp will become so busy that it wont have room for us next year- I have been to Ohana in VT 3 times and it keeps getting better. It really helped my family (5 and 8 yr old girls and husband) and I reconnect. The food is terrific- we...

Our 24-strong family reunion (with 13 grandkids ages 4-13) was masterfully hosted by Ohana. The 2, 3 and 4 bedroom cabins were rustic and clean (each with fireplaces); the food was superb at each meal, the setting beautiful and the activities varied and engaging for all ages. Vanessa, Peggy and Staff could not have been more caring, accommodating and hospitable....
