We stayed in the guest house from 9/19-9/21/2012. It is a very quiet, very private house with nice accommodations and plenty of character. The room we stayed in is entered from the wrap around porch on the side of the house, which was very private. You can come and go without disturbing anyone else. The room was average size with...

We had a bike tour of Vermont fall through so we had planned to return home but decided that we would try to salvage our time off and headed to Burlington. We trusted Trip Advisor reviews to guide our trip. Our stay at the 254 S. Union St confirmed our trust. We stayed in the Master Bedroom and it exceeded...

Stayed with Bill for two nights and really enjoyed our experience. The room was nicely appointed- the whole place felt very private & comfortable. South Union is a good location- walking distance to some very nice restaurants.

After discovering that most of Burlington hotels and B&Bs were booked throughout most of the summer, we were surprised and happy to find this Guesthouse available. We stayed in the Suite which was a beautiful 1 bedroom apartment really. Full eat in kitchen, private porch, a queen size bed and a pull out couch. All was extremely clean, and very...

My husband and I recently took a long driving trip through New England, staying in B&B's all the while. 254 S. Union was the best of the bunch! The room is immaculately appointed by someone with fantastic taste--no dingy old floral prints here. We loved having our own exterior entrance, and tons of PRIVACY. I appreciated that once we checked...

Advantages: The house is in a great location and is very clean. Disadvantages: 1) We knew ahead of time that there wouldn't be breakfast, but there were some other snags in breakfast (yogurt but no spoons, no clean coffee mugs). 2) Extremely loud, creaky bed. Even to just roll over caused a loud, noisy corruption. I worried about what the...

Aw come'on, squeaky bed, spoons, coffee cups, credit cards and an owners manual? Well let's take this from the top: 1) Spoons and coffee cups. Spoons (too many if you ask me) are kept in a standup container in the central hallway serving area, and coffee cups are located on the serving shelf below. That being said, sometimes guests will...

We arrived with two young tired children and just wanted a hassle free arrival. Bill made it happen. There was a little glitch with our room setup, but it was quickly remedied by opening some pocket doors. Suddenly we had our queen bed and pull-out couch. The room was clean, comfortable and homey. The kids loved the gas fireplace (it...

We had an amazing weekend. Bill was there when we arrived to greet us and get us acclimated to the area and facilities. Our room was quaint but spacious. The room was clean - which is a big deal for me. The location was simply the best. We didn't use our car all weekend. We'd definitely stay again next time...

I contacted the owner about two weeks before we intended to stay here on the week of my birthday and our anniversary in August 2011. Cyndie took my call, but was out running errands at the time. She called me back within an hour or so to take my reservation. She took my name, address, dates to book, and credit...
