They are in the process of doing some updates & remodeling so it's obvious that they really care about this hotel. The lobby is beautiful! It's very modern and everything was super clean. Our room was clean and the beds were SO comfy! The blackout...More

We like this hotel on road trips being clean, quiet and kept in great condition for their guests. The rooms have been renovated and we are in a newly decorated one, very nice. They serve a complimentary breakfast starting at 600am, so its easy to...More
This hotel is a convenient location if you are traveling through on I-70, in many ways it's a typical Fairfield and didn't stand out one way or another. Checked in on line but waited 5-10 minutes for the front desk person to be located to...More

Just did a Google search and it looks like its just short of an hour and a half away. There are a couple small non-franchise hotels and motels in the small town of Teasdale/Grover area right outside Capital Reef Park. Just an idea. Also, may look at the B&B's in the Teasdale/Grover area. Both hotel/motels and B&B's average between $66 and $250 a night. Also, looks like camping right outside the park in Fruita.
But if you don't mind the drive, Fairfield Inn is great hotel.
Hope that helps. Cheers!
