About
Description
Stay in Utah's second oldest hotel. It is rich in history including the gambling, extortion, bootlegging and corrupt cops. Step back in time and have the Grand Dame of Ogden welcome you. Just like Mae West in the More 20s and 30s, the Historic Ben Lomond Suites ran the city. She was big and boisterous and ran the town her way. The Ben Lomond is the only all suite hotel located in downtown Ogden. Ben Lomond Suites is located in the epicenter of Ogden. All within walking distance of numerous independent restaurants and bars, shopping, night life, theaters, Ogden Eccles Conference Center, Ogden Amphitheater, Egyptian Theater, Salomon Center. All rooms are suites with microwave, fridges. Rooms are larger than a standard hotel with separate living rooms and bedrooms. Free wireless internet, and free covered parking. Ben Lomond Hotel has a business center, fitness center, and coin operated guest laundry. Ben Lomond Hotel also has 6 event spaces that have capacities of 25 to 350 guests. Ben Lomond Hotel has two great restaurants and a bar. Breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as room service are available daily at the hotel's on-site restaurant, The Bigelow Grill. Fine evening dining can be found at Restaurant 1107 located on the hotel's 11th floor. Come and enjoy Ogden's history and find out why Al Capone said, "Ogden is too rough a town for me!" Less

It is important to consider what you want from this hotel. I can see why some people rated this hotel lower. Personally,, this hotel delivered what I wanted and expected when I booked it.

Dear Jeepncolo, Thank you for taking the time to respond on your current visit to the Bigelow Hotel & Residences. I can not begin to tell you how spot on you were with your review!! Yes, we are a historic hotel, in fact the second oldest in Utah and the ONLY Grand Hotel remaining in Utah. When you came to the hotel, you came for exactly the right reason, The History and the Architecture of the period that the hotel was built. I do hope that you were able to see our Grand Ballroom as well as the many other facets that the hotel has to offer. We encourage guests to come to the hotel and bask in the glory days of 1926-1934. I so wish that you could return to the hotel December 31, 2018 for our annual Great Gatsby New Year's Eve Party. That is when the hotel really shows off, we have more gangsters and flappers here at the hotel than Chicago did in the 1920's. The hotel completely turns back in time to the 1920's. We offer a live band with dancers that only do 1920's music. You would so enjoy being apart of the rough and tumble town of Ogden during that time period. Again, I so appreciated your comments. We are still and will be in flux of renovation to bring this hotel back to the standard of a grand 1920 hotel. Please come back to visit and see the improvements that have been made to the hotel and in Ogden. Safe Traveling, Susan Cross Director of Sales Bigelow Hotel & Residences Ogden, Utah 801-627-1900

Stayed here for one night - 10/22/2018. First room on the sixth floor was so musty smelling I told them to keep my money and I would find somewhere else to stay. They put me in a room on the seventh floor that was ok. Still not a nice clean space - remodel work was not good - ti

Dear Consultant_01, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your stay. I am sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. We have done the 1st round of renovations of our historic property and round two is coming soon to get it back to the Grand Hotel it was in the roaring 20's. Our residences are upscale condos on the top floors with breathtaking views of the city that houses pillars of the community from lawyers to developers. I appreciate your insight so we can improve even more. Kind regards, Justin Clark General Manager

Have stayed in this hotel a number of times travelling between Texas and Oregon. Up to this stay it was the Ben Lomond. On arrival the front desk was brusque, upon leaving - rude.
We have been used to a quite good breakfast on the main floor (as part of our room price) and trav

A business travelers dream. Huge rooms, very clean, good a/c, very comfortable bed, terrific staff. Not a hotel in the style of the late 1920's, but the real deal, built in 1929. Lion statues guarding the side entrance, marble alcove off the lobby next to the brass mailbox, class

Since the hotel doesn't have a pool or hot tub, are there any options nearby for a weary skier to relax?
I’m sorry, I just saw this. I do not know of any hot tubs. There is a public pool along the river northeast of there.

Does Ben Lomond hotel accept pets? TripAdvisor list it as pets allowed but another site had "no pets allowed". Tried contacting the hotel but cannot get through...
Thank you for contacting the Ben Lomond Suites, Ogden. We recently were sold to another Hotel Management Company. We do not accept pets at this time. Prior to the sale we were a pet friendly hotel, but the new owners have chosen a no pet policy. Please let me know if I can direct you to a pet friendly hotel. Sincerely, Susan Cross Director of Sales Ben Lomond Suites Ogden, Utah 801-627-1900
