I love love love this place. I was concerned at first since it is "in the middle of nowhere" But it is amazing. If you love nature, fresh mountain air and quietness and amazing views to the canyon, that's something for you. Sit outside on the little patio, have a vino, look at the stars... Wonderful. Amazing hiking opportunities and...

This place is amazing!! There are only 2 rooms so getting one felt pretty lucky. It is down a short hill from the coffee house above - so it feels private and separate from that. The view out the window looking into part of Grand Staircase Escalante was beautiful. Although the road is close-ish and in the view, there aren't...

We were starving en route to Bryce Canyon since the place we planned to have breakfast was closed. I was so happy when we came upon kiva koffee house! We both had fresh juice and breakfast sandwiches and they were delicious.

The idea of the Kiva Kottage is amazing...a small 2 room kiva with great views where people like us can stay near Escalante. The implementation was a success! We had the recent pleasure of staying in the Kiva and loved it. Admittedly it is not a 5-star resort, so if you go expecting that you'll likely be disappointed, but if...

Wonderful stay at the cottage. The location is so peaceful, and the view is unbeatable. We stayed in the 2 queen room, which was very spacious, with a fireplace, table and chairs. The bathroom tub was very nice - my kids enjoyed it. There is a small refrigerator and microwave. My wife was unsure about the microwave, and bear in...

The Kiva Kottage is a special experience. I stayed there three nights. It was a great way to take in Escalante canyon sunrises and sunsets, to have them pretty much to myself, and to feel the darkness at night. The scenery matches that of a national park, but the accommodations here are vastly superior to a park lodge. The Sunrise...

We stayed at Kiva Kottage the night before we started a backpacking trip. It was wonderful. The views are killer and the Kottage was cozy. We had 2 adults and 2 children. There was a rollaway in the closet which was perfect for us. The family that runs the Koffeehouse is lovely. The best part of our stay was the...

Stopped in to the Kiva Koffeehouse several years ago and knew instantly that I had to come back and stay at the Kottage. We routed our return trip from Moab through here just to stay at the Kottage. We enjoyed a wonderful sunset and an even better sunrise. The views are just fantastic and the atmosphere so peaceful--I felt like...

We stayed in the Sunrise room with the King Bed for our anniversary. This was a great room and was very clean and well furnished. The bed was awesome and the pillows were good. This is a great location to star gaze as it gets quite dark at night. My wife and I sat out on the patio and talked...

Kiva Kottage has two separate rooms right below the coffeehouse (which in itself is worth a trip). There is a door between the rooms that can be locked or kept open if you have a group. We rented both and two of us, a couple had the room with a king bed and the other three people shared the other...

“Both rooms are great, the Sunrise room actually has better views at sunset due to the rock glowing in the East. The Sunset room has a bit more of an patio outside.”
