It was a nice place to stay if you plan to visit both Zion and Bryce. The resort was about in the middle of the 2 National Park. Wonderful scenic view for driving to Zion. There were 6 of us, the room would accommodate 8 people comfortably. Four bedrooms with two and a half baths. The master bedroom with king... More

Good place in a very secluded place, surrounded by woods. Please be careful about closing time. We were very lucky to find a very nice, helpful person in the lobby at 9:30pm. The lobby closes early, 8pm. The suite we had booked was already occupied by another family, we found out after we tried to open the door. Luckily there... More

We loved our little cabin. Opening hours for check in and Restaurant are a bit short, but they offer a special service for late check in. The prices for the cabins and also the food in the Restaurant are moderate. The cabin was clean and spacious. Internet wasn't working too well, but then we were in the middle of a... More

We were fortunate and did read about the hours of the area beforehand. They do close most shops and restaurants early in the area. We came in about nine but we got our room key easily and had already had dinner. Cable TV worked great. We got up for breakfast (only open 8 to 10) and it was great food... More

PRO: Mountain Home was big enough for 16 adults. Very quiet location. Amazing for a group of friends. One hour away from Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. CONS: We had a late check-in, which I called twice the front desk about the same day. We should have found an envelope with our keys, but we found an envelope with... More

We booked Pinewoods specifically because of its location and had read earlier reviews about nothing being open after 6 pm. It's fairly remote, about 11 miles west of Utah Route 14 and the road was crawling with deer - we passed 6 in a span of 10 miles. Anyway, we ate dinner in Springdale (just outside Zion NP) because we... More

Got to Duck Creek early evening thinking we could buy groceries there and that the town didn't close at 7, but we were mistaken. Nothing was open. That night we stopped by the Pinewoods Resort just as it was closing and met Judy who gave us the bad news. The restaurant was closed. We were not staying at the lodge... More

We arrived late after spending a full day in the National Parks. We had received an email with instructions for how to pick up our key after the front desk closed. The process went exactly as it was presented and made our evening go smoothly. We stayed in the hotel rooms, unit 8. The room isn't fancy and the decor... More

Nice spot to stay for our trip to Bryce and Zion. Plenty of room for a family with two teens, enjoyed the firepit every night with smores. Make sure to stock up on groceries in a larger city, not many options locally.

This place is as bad as the low marks given. I enjoy rustic, not hobo junction. Josh failed to mention; the restaurant on sight is closed on the 2 days we would be there, (we could drive back to town or by a can of chili in their pantry and heat it up in the room) or the heaters not... More
