I stayed in the Cattle Baron's suite for a weekend with friends and it was fantastic. The rooms are cute and comfortable and the private balcony overlooks the beautiful grounds. It was also a perfect place for an evening glass of wine! The history of the Baines House as a historical site was very interesting as well. The location is...

I traveled to Salado for a three day triathlon training camp. I stayed in the Thoroughbred Suite. It had everything I needed and more- comfortable king bed, dining area, sitting area, kitchenette, and full bathroom with a shower and jetted tub. The grounds are peaceful and enjoyable to relax in and explore, and the location is in close proximity to...

I spent the last week at the Baines House Bed and Breakfast Inn. What a wonderful quaint, and lovely place to stay. The accomodations were wonderful, and there were so many nooks and crannies to explore while you were there. The owners were so delightful, and treated me like a queen. The two girls that help in running the Inn...

Sea berry Cottage was very inviting and comfortable. Just what we needed to unwind a bit. Although our visit was during what has become the rainy season in Texas, it didn't matter because we were in need of some "front porch sitting" and Seaberry front porch filled the bill. We will definitely request the Seaberry every time we return.

You never know what you're getting when staying at B&B's but Blaine House was a wonderful surprise! The rooms were great and the grounds were beautiful. Sheryl and Rod anticipated every need and made our stay fun and easy. They allowed us to check out late in the afternoon to accommodate the needs of all our group. Would recommend to...

Three of my girlfriends and I stayed at Baines House B&B this last weekend for the Texas State Master Gardeners' Conference and just loved it. It was so charming. Cheryl, the owner gave us a tour and made the most delicious and beautiful breakfasts for us every morning to meet our time schedule. Our cottage had a front porch with...

There property is comprised of several small buildings, each with their own charm. I stayed in a small house. It was clean and beautifully decorated. It felt like I was visiting Grandma in a small town. Breakfast is held in a small building at the center of it all. They happily accommodated my request for an earlier breakfast time than...

My family and I had an amazing stay! The owners were great - very accommodating, extremely friendly, and personable. We arrived in Salado very late at night and the Russell's left the light on for us, no hassle at all. The breakfasts were very tasty and we always looked forward to our morning chats. The rooms were very cozy and...

My daughter and I were just passing through Salado for one night, and they took us in last minute in the middle of the night and were very kind and welcoming. Gave us an adorable cottage, very roomy yet cozy at the same time. Made us a delicious breakfast the next day and showed us around before we left. VERY...

What an incredible experience! Cozy, private cottages. Incredible rustic and charming decor. Very hospitable service. NO PHONES, NO TELEVISIONS! We survived. Treat yourself if you're ever in Salado. The Russells were so accomadating and interesting, sharing the history of the property. The food was wonderful and home-made. We easily walked to the shopping areas.
