We stayed for 3 nights in the cabin and had a blast! Julie and her son are so kind and helpful. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We hiked through the woods on the property and fished for a bit at the pond. It felt like it was in the middle of nowhere, yet it was close to groceries...

We arrived at Pappy's and were given a key to the cabin. It was clean inside the cabin with a kitchen containing a contemporary fridge and old antique oven that still worked. We encountered a container of chocolate chip cookies and a casserole for breakfast which was tasty. My children liked the loft up the stairs with two beds and...

The Cabin was a great place to retreat for editing my book. It was clean, comfortable, and had a full kitchen. A special touch was the welcome of brownies on the cabinet and a breakfast casserole in the fridge which was very good. Minutes away from the lake, shopping and many good restaurants. The only downside was unable to access...

This was our first rustic log cabin experience..but so much more. All the amenities for city folk! The Cabin was surrounded by woods, very charming and comfortable inside and designed and stocked with guests in mind. It is a perfect place for a family/friends trip close to DFW area..to de-stress and have a good time. We loved it. Will certainly...

My family and I stayed over Labor Day weekend and had a great time! The house was big and comfortable and very clean! When we arrived there were brownies on the stove (which my kids loved) and a casserole for the following morning! We also had access to the washer and dryer which I liked. The location is about 2...

We had a wonderful time staying in the cabin. We were surprised by the cake & breakfast casserole waiting for us & they were delicious; the fridge was even stocked with other items. We made lots of memories fishing in the pond, exploring, & making smores. Julie & her family were wonderful hosts & took care of everything.

The Cabin was perfect for our visit to the area! Could not have been more pleased. Great brownies on arrival and homemade breakfast casserole and other breakfast food! Can't wait to come back and stay longer!

Got The Cabin for a night ... absolutely perfect in every way. The cabin itself was honestly a bit jaw dropping. I didn't expect such thought out decor, well stocked food items, etc. Tucked away just enough in the woods my family and I felt like we were alone. Nice short nature hike, fire pit, grill, porch swing, etc. Duck...

My husband and I spent two nights in "The Cabin" celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary (leaving the 4 kids at home!). We had a lovely time and enjoyed the secluded property. Everything was very clean and well-appointed and homey. We enjoyed the breakfast casserole and the bundt cake. We had fun watching a couple of dvd's we'd brought along, reading,...

My wife and I spent a weekend at the Cabin. We loved every minute of it and can't wait to return. We will be making several trips a year here as it's only an hour and a half from our house. We really loved the coziness and layout of the cabin. The breakfast casserole and brownies were AWESOME! We built...

“The Cabin is more spacious than pics show ... tucked away and off the path a bit, you will feel as though you are out in the woods by yourself more or less. The next size up cabin is Pappy's Place and a bit farther down the road, even more tucked away but not as "rustic" in appearance on the outside. The largest cabin they have is the Texas House and isn't really tucked away at all, but appears to handle a large number of people (like a group) and is by the fun and well stocked duck pond.”
