We arrived late. Childrens bed was not made and sheets, blanket, pillow and towel was missing. The reseption gave us blanket and pillow for the night and said that they could help more at the night time. Also the toilet button was broken so we couldn’t use it. At the morning the staff was very rude and said that we got all yesterday and we should be okay now. When the cleaning staff came told the situation to them and they made the bed and gave towels, also the mechanic came to fix the toilet.

We have just arrived back to the UK from a 10night all inclusive holiday at Villa Mandi. Room- We stayed in a 2 bed apartment with roof terrace, we also had 2 balcony’s so lots of space and very very clean. Cleaners made beds and changed towels everyday. We had 2 bathrooms with walk in showers and 2 sinks in each. We was located perfectly, could see the golf course from the back and scenic views from the front. Entertainment- thear and jami were fantastic with the kids and adults. Always something to do throughout the day from water polo to archery. There are 2 big pools and one baby pool. One downside is the astroturf surrounding the pool gets quite muddy when wet making your towels and clothes dirty, this could do with being changed to something better. The evening entertainment could be better but the snake and parrot show was exceptional. Food- So glad we went all inclusive, the food was very good and something for everyone. During the day the kids was able to go to the pool bar for slush puppies, drinks and various snacks like cheese and ham toasties, fries, wedges, popcorn chicken. The food does get repetitive but I guess that’s all inclusive for you. The chefs, kitchen staff, waiters and waitresses worked tirelessly from breakfast to dinner to ensure the cleanliness and good flow of the restaurant. The one waitress got to know us very well, she knew our room number towards the end of our stay!!!! Tui- Our Rep Janet was fab, she made us feel so welcome and helped us when we needed to book transfers and gave us info about good places to eat around the island on nights we was going out. She was always on hand and making her presence known by interacting with the guests and helping out. The reception team were very helpful and polite. Although your out of the main part of playa de las Americas, it’s ideal as taxis cost roughly €4 from villa Mandi to the main part. Ideal for us as there is no hustle and bussle and no noise. Overall, fantastic holiday made even better by the staff at Villa Mandi. See you in 2023. Thankyou ALL so so much for making our holiday better than we expected. Liam, Aimee, Jane, Freya and Frankie

Firstly I want to say a massive thank you to Svetlana and Edoardo who were the animation team. They brought true happiness and enthusiasm to our holiday. Svetlana was so enthusiastic and had bundles of energy every single day without fail!! Both Svetlana and Edoardo said hello with a wonderful smile on their face every single day! It was so refreshing and meant to much to me and my partner. Me and my partner are both holiday entertainers so we do this every single day! It was our first proper break away so it was so refreshing to have someone else bring us so much happiness. Thank you so much both of you! You made our holiday!!! These people deserve a pay rise they were just fantastic. Entertainment was great most nights from live acts that visited the hotel. There was a fantastic parrot show. The food was good most nights. The soup and lasagne was amazing. However, we’re there 10 nights and a lot of stuff was the same a lot of nights. Puddings were not great. Far too sweet and basic shop brought. The nicest pudding they had was the jelly. Most of the food you could tell had been reheated over the last few days which isn’t great for the price you pay (we saved ALL year for this!! So was very dissapointing!) I think what didn’t help us was that our first impression of the restaurant was shocking!! We was rudely greeted by a short lady (short hair and glasses) was behind the bar at around 3pm on Tuesday 17th January. This was the moment we first walked into the hotel. She told us to “get out! You’re not allowed in here” the doors were open and there was no sign to say we wasn’t allowed in! So we wasn’t to know any different. We had a long (and my first ever flight) so we was hungry. Only to be greeted by stale cheese bites and sandwhiches (which by the way we saw one chef drop a sandwhich on the floor and put it BACK ON THE PLATE FOR SOMEONE TO EAT!!) gross! Such a shame we was left with this as a first impression as if we didn’t come across this issue we wouldn’t have anything bad to say about the food. Goes to show what first impressions can do!! However the Waitors and waitresses were fantastic so polite and friendly. Massive shout out to the wonderful kristina. Always made sure our glasses were full. There was also a fantastic, friendly barman I didn’t catch his name but he had glasses and his ear pierced. Lastly we were let down by the uncomfortable beds and pillows. The pillows had blood stains on them, multiple times. The beds were two seperate beds pushed together which was so uncomfortable. The lock did not work either and we had to pay almost €25 for the safe. Apart from the beds the hotel room itself was spotless and clean near enough everyday. Apart from the blood stains and restaurant fault! (Sandwhich lady!) we did have a lovely stay at villa Mandi thanks to sventlana and Edoardo they made up for other peoples faults with their kindness and energy. Thank you so much once again you two!! You were fantastic. Villa Mandi these people need so much praise they SAVED you!! If it wasn’t for these wonderful people I would’ve given you three stars or less!!

We stayed here self catering for 3 weeks January 2023 can I say at the start every member of staff ie reception/cleaners/lifeguards/bar/animation team /TUI rep treated us in a friendly and helpful manner. Our room overlooked the pool and was clean and spacious and modern we loved it.the pool was nice and warm and you could always get a sun bed anytime of day.the room was cleaned most days with a change of towels almost everyday our cleaner done a great job.don’t know about the food here as we ate out everyday.the lovely lady who led the animation team was brilliant and she had a very infectious way about her and she organised everything in a enthusiastic way with all her games throughout the day and you could win a cocktail which we did on several occasions she is a big asset to this hotel.we had Siam park included and we went 3 times despite being 70. To sum up it is in a nice quiet area but 1/2 hour walk to americas/Cristianos centre and we either walked back of got a taxi £8.mercadona is only a 10 minute walk away and there are a couple of restaurants in that complex if you dont want to walk into town the restaurant upstairs called the loft is especially nice with brilliant pizza.we loved this place so much we booked to come back feb/march for another 3 weeks of sunshine (forgot to say the weather was brilliant) the shop on site does nice croissants and warm for breaffast

After reading what we thought were good reviews, we booked Villa Mandi with Siam park. Luckily we love Siam park as we ended up spending 4 out of the 7 days there due to the hotel being so bad. Rooms were decent and spacious, but the rest of the hotel is rubbish. Food is the worst I've had at any hotel. Due to this, we spent a fortune eating out. Drinks were highly diluted, never felt tipsy once. Snack in the day were just some bits and bobs chucked on a plate. They never monitored it and the little corner where it was dumped was disgusting. Reception staff were really rude and unhelpful. The transfer from Siam Park left my whole family stranded because the driver left early. We were literally sat on the bench outside, walked over and he left before the stated time. He literally pulled over for 30 seconds. When we called reception, they basically said it was our problem. Black mold on shower curtains. Tiles and drain covers are damaged everywhere. One pool is ok, but tatty. The other is freezing cold. The kids playground is disgraceful and not safe for children. This was our first holiday in 4 years and we were really looking forward to it. Absolutely gutted.

Would recommend staying here if you wish for your room to get broken into and your belongings stolen. Broken doors that don’t lock properly. Went to sleep and in the night burgalars come in whilst sleeping. Unhelpful rude staff that don’t care, wasn’t helpful and quite frankly cared more about sitting on there chair in reception. Once half our belongings had been stolen the reception staff then went on to inform us that many local hotels had had break in’s personally I think that’s something they should inform guests of on arrival. Following our break in we asked about CCTV to which they informed us this complex doesn’t have CCTV. Which personally as a family resort this is frightening. Internet doesn’t work, no signal on ee or vodaphone would suggest bringing an internet abroad router. Went days without room being cleaned to the point we had to ask for them to come and just get towels thrown in room. If your lucky enough to get a room on top of the shop I would suggest to bring ear defenders as all you will hear day and night is BEEP BEEP BEEP. If your not half board or all inclusive make sure you bring extra money for ice as they won’t even give you ice to go with your brought water. Pillows hard as rocks would recommend booking a physio for your arrival home. Despite all this please remember to bring your own lock for the door other wise you’ll be going home with nothing bar a headache from the reception staff and the beeping of the shop ringing in your ear.

Enjoyable stay at Villa Mandi, relaxing in the sun after Christmas exertions. Hotel is competent without being outstanding, in line with its three star rating. We got a good deal at a time where we noticed that hotel prices have shot up post Covid. Probably best suited for families taking advantage of all inclusive / full board options as there are not any restaurants in the immediate vicinity, needing a taxi ride or 20-30 walk to Los Cristianos or Las Americas. We self catered, kitchenette is basic but ok for simple meals. Small store on site but big supermarket 10 mins walk away. Accessibility; probably best to avoid this hotel if you have mobility issues as it is on multi levels, some rooms are accessible but many stairs/ ramps required to access other rooms or pools. Usual Spanish problem of unmarked kerbs, steps, etc. so need to be careful even if able bodied or with kids. Rooms: our room was very spacious with front and back balcony. Massive bathroom, no bath but big walk in shower. Cleaned every day with towel change. Staff: generally friendly, good entertainment team. Overall don’t expect luxury, you get what you pay for, but good value and enjoyable break.

Room Tip: On street parking, seemed plentiful enough. Two pools, one heated, one freezing! On site shop...

Villa Mandi is a nice hotel in Playa de las America. Nice & clean rooms but the sofa beds are not comfortable. 4/5 There are two lovely nice pools, but they are small giving the size of the hotel. 5/5 The food was basic, lots of fried food and very repetitive. There is a station that cooks things fresh, so this provides some relief from that. 3/5 The drinks were definitely diluted. 1/5 The staff there were mostly excellent - from breakfast to cleaners, however there was one lady on reception with a really nasty attitude. She should not be is a customer facing role. 3/5 The evening kids entertainment is fantastic, my niece thoroughly loved it, bar the bird show! 5/5 Nice location - 20 mins walk to the nearest beach, 10/15 mins walk to the centre. Fairly cheap to get a taxi €6-8. 4/5 A decent all inclusive option. *Beware if booking TUI that your water park tickets are in fact included. There was confusion over our booking (even though we booked the Villa Mandi & Siam Park) and it turned out the Siam Water park tickets were not actually included.

We stayed here as a family of 10 in November. We had a lovely week we couldn’t fault the resort itself. The apartments were beautiful and we particularly liked that the pool area wasn’t too crowded and we were able to use inflatables. Perfect for families, plenty of activities and entertainment although some nights better than others. But it could definitely be a 4* resort if they upped the standards of the food and drinks! We aren’t fussy at all and have stayed at other all inclusive hotels but the food we found was very average, some nights we couldn’t find anything we liked and went out to eat elsewhere. Food was very repetitive and we were very disappointed with the show cooking. As a pregnant woman I was served raw meat more than once and told by the chef to “taste it and if it’s undercooked come back and i will cook it longer”. Looking at the chicken and it still being completely raw inside I just asked if they would cook it longer but the second time it was still raw. How they can serve food like that I have no idea! One member of the party was ill the last night and day and it wouldn’t surprise me if it was something he ate. Also the drinks weren’t amazing, soft drinks tasted cheap or weren’t fizzy, only a couple of cocktails included in all inclusive and drinks either tasted watered down or really strong. Couldn’t drink the slush from the pool bar because it had a bad taste which tasted like dirty water. If the food was improved we would definitely come again as we had an amazing week but the food was a let down and were sometimes left hungry due to not enough selection/quality of food being poor.

Highly recommended, spotless, great day time activities, friendly staff/holiday makers. 100% worth getting the siam park package also as there is a free shuttle bus there and from. Less than 10€ inn taxi to safari (playa Las America's) or Los Christianos. The safari has highly rated restaurants and reasonably priced for a great selection. Would definitely go back, without a doubt!
