Sol Tenerife stands out for its prime location close to the beach and lively nightlife, which, while appreciated by many guests, has also been the source of noise complaints that affect sleep quality. The service receives mixed reviews, with the housekeeping and pool staff often praised, in contrast to the slower reception service that some have found lacking in courtesy. Though the hotel offers daily room cleaning, opinions on cleanliness vary, and the rooms themselves are frequently described as outdated. Additionally, guests have called out the shortage of sunbeds, leading to frustration and competition for poolside relaxation.

Time to get away and beat the hustle and bustle so booked 6 nights HB at the Sol Tenerife with my partner just before Christmas.
I've been away a few times to Tenerife pre-Christmas but to different resorts/hotels.
The weather is usually warm enough although it has rained a couple of times but still ok for shorts and T shirt. Put it this way a lot hotter than back home.
The hotel is right on the sea front and just behind the main night life which can be a bit boisterous during the main season.
On arrival the staff were very friendly, seemed really pleased to see us and were asking lots of questions.
We were given a sea view room which as with most hotels was basic but very clean, tidy and fresh so you can't ask for much more. The holiday was getting off to a great start.
It's not a 5 star hotel nor is the food Michelin star but you'll get a good nights sleep and there's no chance of losing any weight with the variety of dishes available each evening.
You do have the option to upgrade to AI at the hotel for a reasonable amount but on this occasion we decided not to due to a drinking ban.
Breakfast and evening meal were more than adequate for both of us during our stay and we never had to venture outside the complex once for a meal.
The pool areas are well maintained with plenty of beds to do a spot of sunbathing, bars are well staffed and there's always someone coming round collecting empty cups, glasses etc.
There's plenty of bars, restaurants and shops nearby so there's always something to do day or night.
The only drawback was some of the evening entertainment but fortunately we don't go away for that. Out of the 5 nights we watched them 2 were absolutely abysmal and would get booed off stage back home.
This didn't detract from a fantastic stay though and I would certainly recommend the Sol Tenerife Hotel.
Just be mindful what time of year you're going, ie summer time for couples and party goers, any other time it's suitable for families.
On a side note, it's the first time we've done a package holiday with Jet2 and I can't fault them one bit, excellent from start to finish.

Just come back from a week at New year, the hotel is lovely, nice food, great drinks, clean rooms but holy moley the noise on a night is a nightmare, As a party goer 40 year old I'm used to noise but this was another level, I requested to be on the quieter side after reading the reviews and was glad when I got there we was,, but we was right above the sports bar which had music playing until 6am it was so loud they might as well have been in our room, I slept with ear plugs in and could still hear it, sweet Caroline used to be one of my favourite songs but after hearing it so many times in one night iv definitely gone off it!!
We didn't take towels as you can hire them for 20 euros which you get back which was so much easier, there is a fridge in the room but you have to get bottles of water from the bar to take up but they're only small bottles so we found ourselves ordering a few at a time so we could take them up with us. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom which is manageble. Not much happens during the day so we found ourselves walking along the beach etc visiting different bars for a change of scenery, we found a nice little English bar called Billy's, staff and punters are very friendly. Evening entertainment is standard holiday entertainment and just OK, we visited the drag show across the road one night that was hilarious and well worth the money. There is also a nice Chinese across the way. Lots of lucky lucky men which also offered us drugs every 10 metres. I enjoyed our holiday but wouldn't return for the noise, I like my sleep too much.

Overall, we had an enjoyable stay at Sol Tenerife with a few pros and cons.
Check in took a while, and after a full day travelling it wasn’t ideal but Olena checked us in apologised for the wait and allocated us a lovely room in A block (recommended as this isn’t as close to the strip). We had a side sea view which was stunning, sunset every evening. On the balcony at night you could hear the music from the strip but when balcony doors closed we slept fine with no disturbances.
The beds could be comfier, and because it’s two single beds pushed together you end up falling down the middle some nights! The hotel should consider locking them together or something.

The room was very clean, no complaints about the maid service our sheets were changed once or twice, beds made everyday and fresh towels provided if we needed them. The hotel provides you with a beach towel which we used for the week which I thought was a nice touch, we just dried them on the balcony each night.

I read reviews about plug sockets so we took an extension lead and had no trouble with sockets. Definitely take one with you.

The breakfast was average, lots of choice but it didn’t taste amazing, it was edible. The pools were well kept and we managed to get beds most days either by going down when the pool opens or later on the afternoon when someone has left for the day.

The location is fab, the beachfront is attached to the hotel, a lovely walk down the promenade either towards los cristianos or costa Adeje.

The only let down for us was the rude lady with a clipboard who ushered us out the room on our last day before we managed to shower etc. With a late flight we had to sit in the lobby for hours. No offer of late check out! Overall the staff were very friendly bar this lady and she put a dampener on it for us, no need to speak to us the way she did.

I wouldn’t say we would return to Sol Tenerife but for a last minute holiday with no frills we had an enjoyable stay.

Second holiday at this hotel after almost 30 years absence from Tenerife - wow its changed, now almost fully pedestrianised.
Sol Tenerife was great value booked through BA Holidays. We were fortunate to get a room in Tower B which is quieter at night compared with Tower A which is adjacent to the nightlife of Veronicas. Some areas a little tired but always clean and tidy. Rooms are comfortable but basic. This hotel has the biggest and best breakfast buffet I have experienced in many years of travelling - amazing selection and good quality. Nice team of staff that work really hard. Good Central location with several good restaurant and bars close by. Will return again next year.

The best hotel I have been in Las Americas. My wife and I were made most welcome from stepping off the bus into the reception area where the young woman on reception met and greeted us with a welcoming smile and took our details when giving us keys to our room on the ninth floor. We had great views from the veranda looking all the way down the coast, and could not fault the room itself. We had a large roomy toilet with bath /shower and hairdryer, spacious, comfortable room with large television, ample storage space, safety deposit box (deposit required), free air conditioning with comfy beds. The room was cleaned on a daily basis and were very happy with the service and all staff we met at the hotel. We were on half board basis, and found the food to be really good and a large selection at both breakfast and dinner, no complaints whatsoever. There were ample sun beds and canopies in the pool areas, some beds could do with replacing, but I feel that it is the same in some of the bigger hotels. We will certainly look forward to returning to this hotel again,

Arrived on 29th December at 11.30am our room wasn't to be ready until 3pm but the reception manager went out of their way to get the room ready and we were in it by noon.
The hotel is clean and friendly we were worried about the noise but had no issues at all we had a sea view room on the 6th floor which was spacious and cleaned every da.
The food was always fresh and hot with a wide range to suit all taste buds, the pool and gardens were clean and tidy with plenty of sun beds, the pool side bar could have done with extra man power but it didtnt affect our stay, the snack bar was sufficient.
The New Years Eve dinner gala was superb with so much choice, entertainment was your typical hotel sort but you make what you want of it, fireworks on the beach were fantastic - the island lit up
The hotel is in a great location with lovely walk to Adeje to the right of the pool gate, bars and restaurants near by
We loved it so much we are back in March

We had read reviews before coming and staying at Sol Tenerife so we were not sure what to expect. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The hotel rooms have everything that you need whilst on holiday, the views from the balcony are incredible if you have a sea view room like ourselves. There is noise from the veronicas strip throughout the night but it’s what to be expected when choosing a hotel right next to it. With the balcony door closed it’s easy to ignore the music and get to sleep. My only issue was the sun bed reserving policy and lack of beds considering the size of the hotel. There was towels on beds all day and nobody used them the whole day which is annoying when you can’t get a bed yourself and want to spend the day around the pool. The way the hotel dealt with the Covid-19 pandemic was great, everywhere was clean, the buffet breakfast was very well organised ensuring cross contamination with guests did not occur. Overall me, my partner and the other couple we travelled with had a great time and would recommend the hotel to others coming to Playa de las Americas.

In view of the current corona virus, this hotel went into "lockdown" on 15th March - rightly so.
I have given 2☆ purely for cleanliness in our room.
My husband and I were here on Bed and Breakfast and decided to upgrade to half board. Having tasted the drinks at the hotel, which we paid for, we decided All Inclusive was not for us...drink was very poor. Breakfast was fine with plenty of choice.
Having visited the restaurant for dinner these past two nights, I wish we hadn't upgraded. Food is disgraceful! Took a bread roll to go along with soup. Soup was tasteless and bread roll tasted and felt like it wasn't fresh. Glad we brought our own kettle and have managed to visit supermarkets....Thank God for noodles!
Hotel staff are now busy clearing away sunbeds, balcony furniture, emptying the swimming pools etc.
Only one socket in the room, bring an extension cable.
Ear plugs are advisable as and when this hotel is up and running again.
On the plus side, staff are friendly and helpful and rooms are very clean.
Linen is changed regularly and have had fresh towels every day.
I would not visit this hotel again.

My wife and I (Diane & Stuart) have been here for the best part of last week and for 3 days this week, (7 days total) 14th Oct-21st Oct , we just got home in the earlier hours this morning. we've had a fantastic experience here. This a great hotel. We booked through “On The Beach website” and flew with Ryan Air .I also read some reviews before going and must admit I was a bit apprehensive, please ignore all bad reviews as they do not reflect all the great points of this hotel. Yes the rooms are a wee bit dated but what time do you really spend in there. If I was to give Constructive Criticism I would suggest at least one more socket and tea/coffee/kettle facilities. The cleaners are in every day and keep them spotless, no signs of bugs or roaches. The restaurant is great with loads of choice. Food was amazing, we couldn’t fault it. All restaurant staff were very pleasant and friendly. You get your temperature is taken once a day before entering the restaurant .The girl at reception was super friendly and helpful. The pool area is great, we spent most days sitting poolside enjoying the sun. The location is unreal, faces the sea and is surrounded by pubs, clubs and restaurants, there’s a supermarket next door which is decent. The evening entertainment is OK. Like we said the location is perfect for central las Americas, the friendly staff work tirelessly to keep the place very clean and tidy all the time.

Hotel is covid safe with temperatures taken daily before dining; disposable gloves and hand sanitizers in use for buffet.

Rooms were kept really clean and it was a treat to hear the waves of the ocean at night (room was facing beach).

Food was excellent. I am gluten intolerant and all staff in dining area went out of their way to ensure there was plenty of choice of food to eat. I am unsure whether they had made gluten free brownies especially but they were delicious along with various different types of mouse.

We don't normally go back to the same hotel twice but we have decided to make an exception for next year.
