Paid extra for a Sea view room and emailed the hotel two weeks before our arrival asking for a sea view room on the 4th floor. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and wanted a room with a good view. When we arrived we were told the hotel was full and they could only give us a room on the...

We have just spent five nights in this lovely hotel. Had a sea view room with a nice sized balcony with two sun loungers and chairs. Room was great. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Poolside bar was very good during the day with waiters looking after you. The internal bar was a nice large size that was also...

We certainly would not recommend to friends. The Hotel and grounds were magnificent . Very clean in all areas. Didn't like being treated as a second class citizen. It was mainly the older staff who appeared Grumpy and couldn't care less .

We stayed in a sea-view room which was very pleasant. Hotel facilities were good and the pool lovely - if a little cool. Breakfast was good but not first-class - we weren't tempted to try the restaurants. Highlight was the (free) evening session in a small observatory which is part of the hotel. Fantastic view of Jupiter and very knowledgeable...

We have just returned from 5nights at this hotel and although it was comfortable and we had no complaints as such, it was not a hotel that impressed. It felt tired and in need of a refit - there was even drips from the ceiling at breakfast after a rain shower! the service was nothing to write home about either...

The Level is on 6th floor, it's meant to offer differentiation from the regular rooms. We have stayed with 4* hotel chains across Spain and its islands offering a premium level such as H10 so, as it was our anniversary, we were hoping for great things because Melia listed this hotel as 5*. On arrival, the hotel encourages upgrading from...

For what we paid for our weeks stay at the Tamarindos I was really looking forward to some 5 star luxury. Nothing was bad, it is just that I was expecting much more for the price. The food on offer was definitely not up to 5 star standard. We have always enjoyed our stays at the other Melia hotels that...

Although this hotel is o.k. I would definitely not describe as a 5 star hotel, more 3 or lower 4. The room we stayed in had lots of rust / dirt in the corners of the bathroom and the staff weren't particularly friendly. I also left some expensive shorts in the room which I have emailed the hotel directly about....

I have been holidaying here for over 30 years and have seen many changes. It is a superb hotel and I always look forward to my next trip. Firstly, the staff are exemplary; always friendly and helpful, with no effort spared to ensure that guests are made to feel welcome and at home from the moment they arrive. Secondly, the...

Fantastic hotel with great amenities and directly opposite the beach. Our platinum membership through our timeshare elsewhere gave us the Melia club access and other entitlements. There are quite a few restaurants within walking distance too and a great getaway for the weather.
