This hotel was probably a really nice place two decades ago but since then nothing good has happened to the place. Very bad condition overall. I did the huge mistake and tried their breakfast and it was definitely on top 3 of the worst breakfasts I have ever been served at a hotel. That they charge you extra for this so called buffé is just a joke.
We stayed at the hotel for a week in September. We both had an amazing week, the top floor room offered an amazing view of the beach and mountains as well as of Salou. The food was good. Really enjoyed the all-you-can-eat buffet as we both never left the table hungry. Location is good, a few minutes walk away from the main street and the beaches. Entertainment was good also, the guy doing the entertainment always had a vast amount of enthusiasm and energy and made our stay entertained! Special shout out to the hotel manager who looked after us really well on the third day. As my partner was pregnant and we had to go to hospital urgently, the manager and staff went out of their way to attend to our needs in the form of taxi's and other help. Upon returning to the hotel, we were offered complimentary lunch by the manager and free drinks that day. They went above and beyond and we honestly cannot thank them enough. Upon leaving the hotel, we said our goodbyes and they wished us well and all the best for the remainder of the pregnancy. We will be back as we had a lovely stay and really pleased with the customer service we received. Definitely recommend this hotel to others!…
A bit disappointed in this place. Came here for a weekend to watch the WRC. Was given the noisiest room ever right next to stairwell. “Free” breakfast was buffet style with insipid looking sausages and Spanish bacon which at best was half cooked. Fruit selection was melon only so alternatives to cooked items limited. Air conditioner in room blew hot air all night no matter what setting it was on, finally resorted to switching it off. Can’t say I will ever return to this hotel as it does appear very tired and in need of some updating. Hotels.com said four star but is three, at best.
My wife daughter and I wanted a short break away. So we booked 5 nights at the Santa Monica. We found our room to be clean the beds were comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The beds had one pillow which wasn't the best and we requested a 2nd pillow each at reception which were delivered promptly. The bathroom was fine although the shower screen leaked. The room above must have had similar problems as we a drip in the room on one occasion. We paid for the all-inclusive option, the drinks were fine though sometimes I wasn't sure if I was drinking coffee or hot chocolate, the alcoholic drinks were fine. We always found something to eat in the restaurant, I liked the soup at lunch and dinner. Our favourites were Pitza and Kabab, unfortunately, these were not available at more often. The entertainment was also fine. All in all, nowhere as bad some of the reviews I have read, it was fine for a short break.…
Me and my Husband booked this last minute due to Thomas cook issues. Negatives- Nothing to do with the hotel-transfer from airport was a mess but we know for next time to fly into Reus. -The walls are very thin, you can hear your neighbors very clearly but wasn't really a issue for us. Positives- Rooms are basic but clean(fresh towels every day bar Sunday). -Staff are very friendly and work none stop. The young lad doing the entertainment seemed to never get a break. -The hotel is only 10 mins from the beach and the main shops/ restaurants. -Plenty of choice for meals, loads of fish. Over all for us this was better than we accepted, its clean good location and staff are friendly.
