Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

Inter2 Aparthotel Salou has received a spectrum of feedback, with guests praising its prime location near beaches and attractions, as well as the vibrant atmosphere filled with music and entertainment. However, some travelers have raised concerns over room cleanliness and outdated furnishings. While the staff's helpfulness is acknowledged, there are mixed reports about service quality.
Opinions on value for money diverge, as affordable rates please some, yet others are frustrated by hidden costs. Additionally, noise levels are a common concern, potentially affecting guests' comfort.

Detailed Reviews
Came here on a big family holiday,
after reading a lot of reviews and seeing pics from others we were feeling disappointed that we booked here but We hoped for the best.
We arrived very late evening check in was pretty fast which was good when travelling with 3 young kids. €100 deposit required before looking at a room.
Our Rooms were surprisingly very clean had everything you needed and Everything worked as it should.
Very Basic but for 2star and the price it was adequate.
Hallways are very noisy definitely not suitable for light sleepers.
Rooms at the back of the hotel can hear the evening entertainment till it finishes.
Always a smell of weed in corridors which is a put off especially when kids asking what that smell is. Lifts are very small especially for family of 5 and a pushchair.
The ramps around hotel are very steep for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Entertainment:
was good but could be better in our opinion. Same thing every night mostly.
Quiz and 3/4 kids songs for disco and bingo not sure what was on after.
Cleansiness can be a lot better around Bar Area and especially toilets!!!
Arcade Games around the hotel are very limited and very much abused!
Food:
was good but need more variety as we got same kind of food not much choice for kids chips and nuggets. Kids mainly relied on the snack bar which was only free from 2-5 for all inclusive but was very good.
Bar: drinks are basic.
Stay away from cocktails unless your willing to pay the €5 for them to make one which actually tastes like a cocktail.
Pool: was ok big enough just watch out for the drains around pool as some were loose and can trip someone up
Sun beds are not adjustable for sitting up and are very uncomfortable.
Location:
Couldn’t of pick a better location. Very close to everything beach bars shops and restaurants
Overall we had a good time and made the of best of the holiday And we would return again in future

We stayed here 13 years ago, when our children was little (they are now teenagers). The rooms are very basic, they haven't changed in the 13 years we haven't been here for. The dinner hall doesn't have a lot of choice but you can always fins something even if it's chips! The snack bar is good but you only get a few items with your all-inclusive, the rest you get a discount on if you have a all-inclusive band. All-inclusive stops at 11 which is not to bad. The staff are all friendly we only had one member of staff that we felt was a bit rude (we went for dinner at 20:50 and she wasn't going to let us in saying they closed at 21:00, we explained its only 20:50 eventually she let us in, giving us some head shakes and eye rolling). The bar staff are amazing and work long hours lots of people didn't use manners, I feel for how hard they work a please and thank you isn't to much to say. The entertainment PJS are amazing very friendly. I would just say they do the same activities each day. Water polo, bingo, archery maybe they could be more spontaneous. We was on floor 6 bit of a pain getting the lift constantly stopping on most floors going up or coming down, not the hotels fault. The hotel take a €100 deposit when you arrive which I dont understand because the rooms are not the best full of filler everywhere. We checked in around 1:40am after a long wait at the airport for our transfers, we wasn't offered any water or food once we arrived other hotels normally have a snack box waiting if its a early hours check in. Not a massive deal but a bottle of water would of been nice. We stayed Saturday to Saturday we had our room cleaned once and the cleaner knocked on to see if we needed towels later in the week. The pool area is nice (even though the beds need a clean, full of spilt drinks stains, sticky food etc). The is no life guard the is a man that walks round picking up left rubbish throughout the day, one day he wouldn't let anyone in the water with inflatables, saying the was over 75 people in the pool. Most days the was over 75 people in the pool but that one day he was on a mission. All in all its cheap and cheerfull, it's by far nowhere near up to hygienic standard, but for the right price it's a break in the sun, I wouldn't pay over the odds to stay here, just a few hundred pounds for a break in the sun. If you want upper market or deluxe then this isn't the hotel for you. Salou is beautiful if you haven't already visited. Pictures of the furniture in our room with rips, that I took so I didn't loose my deposit as they where there on arrival.

Just home from 10 days in inter2 ( I will leave a review on the hotel page too)
Everything is done on a weekly basis. So whatever you have on Monday will be the same the following Monday. The goes for food and entertainment.
The restaurant for A.I is abit of a hit and miss I ate there probably about 6 days out of the 10 days. Lunch and dinner is the same everyday. For the food I’d give 7/10
The A.I drinks was very standard, one local beer is all they offer and the spirits are very weak volume to top shelf stuff we would have here in Ireland. 5/10
The apartment we stayed In although very dated was clean. The cleaners came every 2nd day with fresh towels and twice while we stayed with fresh bedding. I don’t know where people are saying the cleaners were never around because they were. Everything in our room worked fine. We even had 4 English channels which was a plus. 10/10
The wifi was terrible we used the free one till day 7 I graded to the paid one and found that worst. 3/10
Pool was cleaned every night once it was closed and there was never and issued with pool loungers the ground between the big pool and baby pool could get very slippery at times so walk carefully . 8/10
This hotel is mainly for families with kids so if you’re planning to come here for a rave or to find love I’d book in somewhere else.

Bad points
I’m going to start with shamefull so called entertainment they should be kicked out of the hotel, there was no interaction with guests apart from when they sold bingo or Quiz which is the same questions every week, It’s no good starting at midday and just doing bingo or being on their phones or just entertaining themselves and then leaving at 4 pm and then coming back at 8 pm.The kids disco was embarrassing it just seemed that they were there just for the money ( Chaplins rejects) I did email ask at the reception if they knew that they did not have to social distance anymore all they tried to do was promote Chaplins every night as they are supplied by RJP entertainment who are owned by Chaplins. More like (RIP entertainment) Evening entertainment starts at 11pm to encourage you to buy more drinks after the all inclusive finishes
The cleaners never cleaned the floors and didn’t refill toilet roll dispenser only replaced the towels twice room was not good very dirty and run down broken bed, toilet seat, draws etc
The bar staff and the restaurant staff where the best staff we’ve ever came across always had a smile for you and I never saw them on their phones
Food was ok not a big selection but different every day, always found something for everyone, but not very good for young children
Snack bar you can get hamburger, chicken burger, hotdog, fries but only on all inclusive between 2-5pm other items such as pizza & chicken nuggets you have to pay for
Poor selection of drinks spirits etc
Mean life guard / odd job man/ photographer he was never around the pool the odd time he was there he was mean to the kids and took photos of adults in the pool with their drinks and glass bottles.
Will not be returning.

We stayed here July 2019 as a young couple. If I was going again I would deffo stay here again. Studio appartment was lovely and we had no problems. Right in the centre of salou. There was great pool entertainment each day and pool party on the Saturday with an inflatable and BBQ. We booked it through the inter 2 website which was alot cheaper than booking.com. It also came with breakfast. Breakfast had a great choice with unlimited fizzy drinks, tea/coffee/hot chocolate, pastrys, fruit, yogurt, hot and cold food. There is a bus stop less than a minute walk away from inter 2 which takes you to the airport and waterpark.sunbeds at the pool dont open until 10am so no one can put towels on the beds before that. 5 min walk to beach. It's a busy place to stay but I would stay again as entertainment was great at the pool including music, water polo, water sports, bingo and more.

You get what you pay for clean room sheets and towels
hot water to wash, a kettle ,fridge, top cooker microwave , tv and bed.
If you want an early night before 12 am bring ear plugs,
place needs a bit of fixing up over all but had a great time over there.
Cups are small for tea we used the bowls lol ,if the fridge makes noise at night turn the settings nob down to 3 or 4 ,
and the tv english channels have no sound for some reason.
we had no ants ourselfs but if you do have some put sugar down somewhere away from you and they will be happy to leave you alone.
thats about it :)

Probably one of the worst experiences since we got here, firstly we had to pay 100 euro deposit on arrival that wasn't disclosed on booking. Got put in an apartment across from the main hotel which we had to change rooms from after the first night after getting practically no sleep due to the noise and no working air con (which is only in the sitting room/kitchen..wanted extra money for us to change rooms which we obviously refused to pay! Got moved to the third floor which was just as noisy, all night long people shouting and going in and out knocking on doors having multiway conversations right outside our door.. door frames in the apartment are all broken with wood hanging off, blood spots on bedsheets, bugs all over the bedroom. Toilet in the bathroom leaking onto the floor which caused a disgusting smell! Arrived on Monday, asked Thursday for fresh towels as on arrival we were only given 3 towels in the room we were in(family of 3) we were told we could not recieve towels as they are only given once a week, I demanded fresh towels and was told if I got them I could have no more for the duration of the stay! The staff have no more interest in helping than the man in the moon absolutely appaling service unless your a young person here on a drinking holiday and just need a base I wouldn't waste your money on this place !

went away with my partner for our first ever holiday together and was excited to stay at the inter2 however some of the things just did not make sense whatsoever and it was just all in all a rather confusing experience.
starting off with check in it is posted at reception as 5pm however we turned up at half 1 and we had a room ready to check in to at 2:30, however we had to pay a tourist tax of around 15€ and a €100 deposit which we expected however still a big hinderance if unaware, in the mean time we had been given our all inclusive wrist bands and went by the pool to enjoy a drink until we got into the room.
the room itself was nice enough however a real lack of cleaners and it felt like the room got cleaned maybe twice the entire holiday which was unexpected and no fresh sheets whatsoever was a big put off, the bed(s) were two singles we had to push together ourselves to make a double which i didn’t expect to have to do and was rather annoying.
the all inclusive wasn’t really all inclusive a number of drinks weren’t included but you did have a handful of off brand spirits you could have (whiskey, rum, vodka, peach schnapps, baileys) as well as wine and 3 ready made cocktails in a machine which we tried each once and that was enough for us (pinã colada, mojito and sex on the beach) there was also a snack bar where you could get free snacks (not snacks but little plates of food) like burgers, hot dogs and a toastie, you could also get a pizza and a few other things for an up charge. was no crisps or ice cream in the all inclusive either
the food from the buffet was at best okay with one standout meal being the lamb shank however the rest of the food left a lot to be desired and was often luke warm and just abit meh, lots of children walking up and down the buffet just putting their hands in things as well which isn’t great, had a small desert selection of cakes and mousse and jelly which again weren’t incredible but nice enough. you could also have ice cream in a little tub at the buffet however you was not allowed to take anything out of it.
the bar staff were lovely and the entertainment staff (aaron, zoe, jamie, millie and max) were all great and probably the highlight of the whole trip, had a few chats with both zoe and aaron and they were just genuinely great people would go up and have conversations with everyone while they waited for the entertainment to start. past 9pm they did bingo which was a laugh and often another form of adult entertainment followed by a show from a music tribute which went on until about midnight.
overall if you don’t go in expecting the world and just aim to enjoy yourself then you’ll have an amazing time, there’s a few bars dotted around that we enjoyed the standout being La Azotea which is about a 10 minute walk. be warned for the deposit as well as that took more than a few people as a suprise that we heard from.

For the Price we paid this hotel is OK. If your expecting 5 star then you will hate it but if your realistic about how much you have paid then you will be fine as its cheap and cheerful.
Pros.
Rooms are OK with a decent size balcony.
Food is fine and even though the choice is limited we always found something to eat with breakfast being the best.
No rush to get a sunbed even if people put towels down and don't appear till about 1pm your fine till about 10pm
You can upgrade to all inclusive when you arrive for €25 euro per person per day and if your a big drinker it's definitely worth it.
Great location with lots of bars and bust stop to barcalona just outside the hotel.
Cons..
Drinks served in paper cups or plastic glass if you pay a euro. Of course this is understable for outside but if your drinking inside of an evening it would be nice to have a actual glass.
The cleaning of the rooms is really poor. The cleaners literally made the bed and never sweeped the floor or cleaned the sink.
ENTERTAINMENT VERY HIT AND MISS.
I won't have a pop at them to much as they are young staff and it takes a lot of bottle to do what they do and they do work hard however...At times they are very unprofessional and one inperticular thinks it acceptable to neck drinks off friends she makes on holiday whilst working. I suggest the entertainment company they work for do spot checks more often.
Would I recommend this hotel to friends I am not sure however I would return to this hotel definitely for the Price and also due to the friendly bar, reception and restaurant staff.
Holiday tip....The Beer Garden is an extra bar you can use which is 25 yards away from the hotel. The sunbeds are much more comfortable and the bar is much nicer if you prefer it quiet rather than busy. You can use your all inclusive band there to.

When arriving at the hotel we had to pay taxes and 100 euro deposit. Check in was smooth and pleasant enough. When we went to our room there was a strong smell of sewage and was very very dirty like it hadn't been cleaned.
The room is outdated however, we're not fussy about that just as long as it is clean! The beds are very uncomfortable but it made do as we were only in the room in the evening.
The room had a power shower which was great with plenty of hot water. If your looking for early nights do not book here as there are people up early hours of the morning and can be noisy.
The rest of the hotel is clean and tidy. The entertainment programme is really good the entertainers work hard all day and night. With game shows, bingo, kids entertainment and live acts. The kids enjoyed Millie, Max and Zoe. The waitresses and waiters work very hard to keep it going and the food is decent enough, different dishes each day, breakfast is the same. A big thank you to Roberta who was very welcoming and helpful.
The all inclusive drinks are watered down and you can only get 2 drinks at a time. All inclusive finishes at 11pm and afterwards you are charged, so get to the bar well in advance!
The pools are good and had a pool party with inflatables. Was a good atmosphere. There are enough sun lounges so you don't need to be rushing out with your towels.
The location is good it's literally 5 mins walk from the strip and the beach which is stunning and sandy. Its 10-15 mins via taxi to portaventura too and roughly 15 Euros.
The day of checking out they cut our wristbands off. They were saying we had to buy food and drinks, we challenged this as the day we checked in we didn't arrive until the evening, so after telling them it wasn't right as we've paid for the all inclusive they put a day wristband on us and could use this until we left.
Would I stay here again? No but I would come back to salou.
*cleaners do not empty your bins so you need to do this. There are waste bins outside your hotel you have to use to dispose your rubbish.

You can have 2 alcoholic drinks at a time, but can soon go back and get another 2, soft drinks is fine, the local spirits are included and local beer and house wines, any bottled beers or premium to you get at a discounted rate
Not so much a beer garden but an area to the side thats away from the pool. And it supplies small toiletries
We were in the actual hotel not the apartments across the road. Yes there were squeeze body/hand wash containers on the walls in the rooms in the hotel but I dont "think' our friends in the apartments had this.
