I just wanted to write a review for our fab entertainment rep Tinks on Sunday 2nd Oct 2022. The entertainment team is a contracted company so they never know where they will be on a given day. The hotel is fairly quiet but that didn't put Tinks off organising bingo and a great Mr & Mrs gameshow! Incidentally me and my hubby Col won that! 🏆 This is Tinks's first job following A levels and I'm amazed at how confident, professional and mature she is at 18. Tinks made my night dancing to Cha Cha slide, Saturday Night, YMCA and Superman. Brilliant.

Iv never been in a worse hotel ever. Food disgusting always cold repetitive. Lifts always out of oder elderly moved from 7th floor to 2nd that really helps like still flights of stairs to go up and down. Hotel flooded down in the dining room with all the food in it no communications brought the food up to bar which was more cold than normal. Receptionist very rude. Even had dogs staying which barked all night we weren't told it was a an animal friendly hotel. We tried to get moved from jet 2 to another hotel but it was the Fri and nothing gets done over the weekend seemingly Never again oh and no entertainment on certain nights. The wee girls chloe and paige done there best but quizes no thanks it was dead of people to. Awful place

Had a lovely 5 night stay. Great location not far from the beach & a short walk from the main shops. Food was great there was always something to have and a good selection. Bar staff were amazing especially Juan Manuel, an asset to your hotel. Was a cheap & cheerful holiday and we thought it was great value for the money.

Me and my partner visited here mid September and had such a lovely time at the hotel. The staff are super friendly and make you feel very welcomed. We went all inclusive, and was so worth it, the sangria and all the drinks and food was great. We got so much more than we paid for, and would be most certainly be returning next year. Special shout out to John at the bar, and Simon the entertainer at the hotel. They can't do more for you. Debs & Faye

Do not listen to the bad reviews !!! We visited 19th sept was really worried due to reading reviews but we had a really lovely week Check In was fast and easy, room was on 6th floor and yes the lift were unpredictable but we only had to use stairs twice All inclusive - we were pleasantly surprised, there is something every day to eat even if it is repetitive - some folk were moaning about the food but makes me wonder what 5 star gourmet food they eat at home Got served quick time at the bar but again it wasn’t that busy No issues getting a sunbed at any time The weather was nice for 3/4 days then we had flash floods and this lead to the restaurant being flooded but they brought the food up to the bar area, always some Karen moaning getting others riled up (if your reading this you know who you are) If you come out the hotel and turn left, walk down the road (Medusa) turn left, you have the strip with shops and bars and around 15 mins to the beach If you want the quiet beach turn right to top of street and then left, don’t take the steps but follow the road down about 10 mins Straight out hotel you have shops and a few bars with Britannia being right across the road The only really issue I could complain is the hotel it dog friendly so lots of Spanish took there dogs and a bit of barking The entertainment crew - Simon, Ariel, Chloe and Paige were really good and took time out to make the days enjoyable even if it was quiet The pool guy was really nice (no smoking round pool ) we had a good laugh with him Just remember this is 3 star and it’s what you get Thank you to Karen and Mike you were funny hope you got home after the second attempt Glen and Anne Marie and out Spanish queen Carmen - Victoria and jean with the gorgeous tayon Thank you to all the staff we gad a lovely time

I booked a cheap few days away with partner right at the end of season (September) - we went for the room only option as we like to get out and about for walks and to visit other areas. Pros: lovely room, really nice staff and fairly clean. Bar prices weren't a rip off and the pool area was nice but pool may be a little small at "peak" season. The beds were one of the comfiest I have ever slept in. Cons: it is a pet friendly hotel (I should have noticed this). This in itself is not an issue, but we were barked at in the hallway by the tiniest of dogs, but still noisy and my partner is scared of dogs, Another guest had left their dog in their room - every time we returned to our room you could hear it whining for it's owners. This isn't really the hotels fault, but worth knowing. The lifts....2 lifts, 1 worked most of the time but you had to guess which one - and sometimes neither came. A kettle in the room would be a great addition!!!! I still thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel, hence the score I have given it.

Other reviews for this hotel have been mixed with some worryingly bad. We had a good time. The hotel was perfectly fine, clean, rooms serviced daily, just very good. A lot has been said about the food but the bottom line is if you don't like one of the main options then just have the fresh cooked burgers/hotdogs /steaks or kebabs. There was always a pasta option and at least one fish dish and a meat option as well as salads. Nothing at all wrong with the food. The famous Simon is a definite plus for the hotel. And keeps the kids entertained. A lot seems to have been said about the Lifts. We never had to wait very long but at busy times then, hey ho use the stairs! We luckily discovered the small beach just outside the hotel (Turn LEFT out the hotel and walk down the side of the hotel) which had an excellent beach bar.

Booked last minute all inclusive holiday after having to wait for passport arrival. I was apprehensive about the hotel due to some bad reviews before we went. I wouldn’t let them put you off i tried to keep an open mind and we had a great holiday! I travelled with my Fiancé and my 7 month daughter. The one thing i wasn’t happy about was the lady at jet 2 said there would me a cot waiting for me. When i arrived at the hotel cots are €8 per day so $48 for our stay. The lady explained we had a large room with 2 double beds. So we just made do with what we had. Lovely modern rooms, good size bathroom great. The pool was a decent size could have been bigger, my little one enjoyed baby pool. Food was average but what you would expect for a 3 star hotel. The lifts were abit of pain, very small and temperamental. Easier to walk up 1 floor from breakfast/dinner with pram as it is just quicker. The best thing about our holiday was the pool entertainment/entertainer Simon. He was the best! Very friendly made us feel so welcome! Salou was lovely very big. The small beach was the best Platja dels Capellans. Best restaurant we ate at was Fox & hounds.

after reading terrible reviews I dreaded the absolute worst! But to my suprise this hotel was really really great! It’s a 3 star and I would class as 3-4 our room was on the 2nd floor both lifts were working majority of the week but we didn’t need it much! Rooms were spacious and modern cleaned and bedding changed everyday maids are so pleasant! There were issues with the bathroom the shower flooded slightly onto the floor but this is a design fault and across the whole hotel nothing a towel on the floor can’t sort. There was a safe (charged at €4 a day or €20 for the week l) - fridge and hairdryer are FOC also a widescreen tv with some English channels 🙂 Pool was a little on the small side but sufficient for us and life guard did allow some inflatables but not if it was busy or games were going on he was also friendly to us on all occasions. Never a rush or argument for a sunbed there was always plenty. Most of the staff are pleasant there was just one manager /supervisor that seemed to me like she was always shouting at staff I couldn’t understand as was in Spanish but from mannerisms of staff I could tell it was a telling off they were getting and it wasn’t that pleasant to see .Regardless the bar staff were really quick to serve us and we’re always smiling and happy.. A small gripe I did have was I asked about the sky bar and they told me it would be open next season so untill our last day we thought the rooftop was closed (this was clearly a language barrier thing and maybe my own fault for not investigating) but we found out only the bar is closed up there, your still able to use the hot tubs and loungers up there and it’s stunning! It’s worth waiting for the lift 😂 Simon and Ariel from the entertainment team were literally top tier Simon was really helpful and even saw him helping on the bar a few times - the entertainment could of been slightly better but this was no fault of theirs they did the best of their ability with what they had. The food was a little repetitive but there was always something you could eat, my partner had a bad tummy for the first couple of days (not due to the hotel at all) so we didn’t really eat that much but when we did go there was plenty of choice even if not always to our taste there was something I could eat. Drinks selection was unreal to be honest all the beers and spirits and slushes they could make with alcohol and the cocktails from the draught were just perfection im craving a sex on the beach 😂 We went to house of illusions followed by the fountain show and this made our holiday it was by far the best night we had. H.O.I was incredible and the staff and all magicians couldn’t do enough for you we went for all inclusive drinks and show about £28 each and the jugs of sangria just kept coming! It was just amazing please go don’t even think about it just do it you won’t regret it! All in all I would stay at this hotel again especially for the price I paid but would even be willing to pay a bit more. Please don’t judge on all the really bad reviews this is an open and honest review and hand on heart I loved my holiday!

Would rate 3.5 if I could but can’t lol. Booked a last minute cheap deal 4 nights all inclusive and it was decent. We were impressed with the food for the first 2 days but then got quite bored and we didn’t eat tea once, we chose to go out as the tea time meal wasn’t as good as breakfast and lunch. A good variety of food, not brilliant for vegetarians but not many places are yet. Drinks are great but the cups of tea are revolting (we come from Yorkshire so only the best lol). No kettle in room which we would have liked as you can buy decent tea bags so that would have solved that problem. Our room was cleaned when we left the tag off the door so no complaints there and the hotel overall was nice and clean. Pool quite small but it wasn’t busy when we came so no issues, can’t say it would be the same in peak season. Salou is quite hilly so if you’re not a lover of walking then avoid this area lol as the beaches require some steep incline walks. Entertainment was brill from Simon & Ariel I just think it needs updating a bit not so much bingo! Found most of the staff lovely a few of them seemed miserable but apparently that is a Spanish thing as we found out lol, you do seem to get a lot of ignorant guests mostly Spanish that don’t know what manners are! Overall it was a nice stay and we had no major issues, I would return back but not in peak season as I don’t think the outdoor area would be accommodating when busy due to the size of it.
