Just home from staying at this hotel. The hotel is spotless, so are the pools. The food was amazing and all the staff I came across very helpful and friendly. There is a nice safe family feel about the hotel. The pizzas from the onsite restaurant were very good and as it is a family hotel there was no late night noise. The roof top jacuzzi area is lovely too. I would definitely recommend it to any family with young children.
Staff: very friendly, professional and accommodating. They make you feel at home. Room and premises: rooms are clean and well decorated, with a balcony, a small fridge and plenty of storage. Lobby, bar and lounge are beautiful, bright and modern. Food/Breakfast and dinner: very good, by its variety, quality and presentation. Main restaurant serving breakfast and dinner has a dining area that is spacious, bright and well furnished. You can order a bottle of wine and they will keep it after your meal and serve it to you the meal after until you finish it. Excellent buffet never runs out of supply, there is a plancha bar. You get dishes from around the world as well as simple home-made healthy steamed vegetables and salads. Very nice dessert station. There are 3 other good restaurants by the pools, including a Pizzeria. Pools and spa: 2 very nice big oasis-shaped pools with slides and fountains. Plenty of sun beds and umbrellas around. Borrow a large pool towel against a 10EUR deposit. Were closed because of the pandemic the sauna, the Turkish bath, the indoor pool, and the rooftop pool. But a nice free-entry well equipped small gym was open. Animations: Great clubs for kids - Daisy Club mini disco (2 evening sessions in the open-air pool area) is a hit with the whole family – watch your little one dance for 45mn non-stop while you have a drink. Daisy the life-size mascot is much loved by the little ones. We also enjoyed a high-quality Magic show on stage in one evening, and a very good rock band playing The Queens best hits. Aqua-gym was very entertaining. The Mini and Junior clubs will take care of your kids aged 4+ while you can relax. Other activities, indoor and outdoor playgrounds. Beaches and Salou town: Llenguadets beach is really “down the road” – small sandy private-like beach known for offering the best sunset of Salou. No shower or WC there but no need to have one as you can walk to the hotel up the road. Other popular beaches with restaurants and parades are in Salou (Llevant beach, Ponent, Capellans, Llarga etc.), less than 10mn away by bus. Buses costs 2.15-2.45EUR per trip per person but you can get a prepaid card in a tobacco shop and top it up for £1 per trip. Balance and deposit of 4EUR are refunded when you give the card back. Taxi to Salou and beaches is around 10EUR per trip. Other: the hotel has a minimart for essential amenities. There is also a new minimart (Carrefour) 5mn walk from the hotel. Keep a few teners for tips to the staff, it will be well deserved considering the experience they offer in the aftermath of the pandemics restrictions.…
Just stayed at H10 for 10 nights with my partner & our little girl who is 11 months old. Rooms are quite dated & could do with updating along with the beds which are extremely uncomfy, however spacious. Food wasn’t great, breakfast always seemed to be the same & tea was always fish dishes, which my family don’t eat. On day 7, my daughter was being sick & wasn’t herself for around 24 hours from food eaten in the hotel. We also spoke to a guest that day who said she’d been suffering with sickness following from eating the food too which wasn’t ideal. Pool area was lovely with plenty of seating, pools were very clean & nice for our little girl to have a splash in. Kids entertainment is fab and the entertainment team were so polite & lively! We sat for around just under an hour watching the mini disco which our little girl loved, the man who serves the bar drinks of an evening is also very polite & really nice. Another downsize to the hotel, it’s quite a walk from Salou Centre which we didn’t realise but that’s not the hotels fault. Overall, an average stay!…
Family holiday with 2yr old grandchild in June. Hotel location quiet just what we wanted. Entertainment every night was fabulous the team not pushy at all which was a really nice change they are excellent with children nothing was too much trouble. Half board was really good value something different every night, two restaurants on sight for afternoon meal good quality and lovely service special thanks to Silvia. Our daughter has nut allergy ‘victor’ was so professional and good sense of humour rang him to check every night to check food Reception staff helpful. All the staff work very hard well fine to the whole team. Domestics can’t praise enough cleaned apartment and always with a smile. I would really recommend hotel for families. Trip to Barcelona, Tarragona. I would recommend la Pineda we only drove through looked lovely beach and not overcrowded. Thank you to All the team at H10 Med Village for making our stay enjoyable.…
Did 2 weeks half board in early June with 3 kids under 8. It's a really well run hotel primarily aimed at young families. The staff were excellent in every area we interacted with them, reception, animation, restaurant, bar, cleaners etc. Always friendly and happy to help. Night time entertainment is 2 mini discos from 8-10 followed by some adult entertainment. The kids loved the disco but volume needs to be managed better, some nights it was fine but others it was ridiculously loud, probably PA still set high from the adult entertainment the night before. The adult entertainment was mostly good with some lowlights(Dragon Knights cover band one of the nights) and some highlights(Michael Jackson tribute act). We had a 2 bed apartment which was spacious and had everything we needed. It was also great it didn't face in towards the pool/stage area, I think you even have to pay extra for that. Our younger kids could go to sleep without being disturbed by music which runs loudly until 11.30 some nights. The apartment was serviced everyday but the floors don't seem to be cleaned at all, if you walked around bare foot for any period of time your soles would be black, not ideal with a toddler who is still crawling occasionally. The size of the balcony is remarkable, probably the biggest of any hotel of this type I've seen. The hotel gets noticeably busier at the weekends(especially if there is a Spanish public holiday like in early June), it would seem a lot of locals or at least people within driving distance come and stay just for the weekend. Something to be aware with regards trying to get sunbeds on Saturday and Sundays, the rest of the week you generally didn't need to queue more than 5 minutes before 10am unless you wanted popular sunbeds in the shade close to the shallow part of the kids pool. The other big adult pool always seemed to have free sunbeds. It may get busy all the time in July and August, if so I really wouldn't want to experience that. The Cap Salou area is a bit hilly so not ideal pushing a buggy around but we enjoyed being away from the madness of central Salou. We did travel in a few times via bus so got to experience the best of both worlds. The bus stop to Salou and Portaventura is right outside the entrance and the Bus Plana office nearby will sell you multitrip cards. I've eaten at a few all inclusive/half board style hotels and I'm sorry to say the food here is the worst I've experienced. Cheap cuts of meat at the grill, imitation meats used in the paella/fideua, all cakes made with UHT style cream(so they don't need to be chilled) and everything generally bland with little or no seasoning. The breakfast buffet was slightly better quality than the dinner, especially the pastry selection. Don't get me wrong the food is edible and the kids enjoyed the ice cream and jellies but I never really looked forward to dinner after the first few nights. I get that hotels want the buffet to be cost effective but it's really obvious here. In summary the staff are great all round, rooms and facilities mostly well maintained, good location with all necessary amenities nearby. I would probably come back but would seriously consider having breakfast and lunch in the apartment and eat out every night instead…
The hotel reception was very clean, modern and staff were friendly. We were told check in was at 2pm we were 30 minutes early so asked if we would come back which we did, we were told there would be a short delay and come again in 10 minutes which again I did to be told it would be another 15 minutes. I pointed out that this is what was said last time and they were able to give me the key straight away. Room was very clean and had all the i utensils we needed, only issue we had was with the AC it wasn’t on and the room was hot. We travelled early may and temperatures got up as high as 23 during the day, when we asked about AC we were told the owners made the decision not to switch it on as it wasn’t warm enough which may have been true for the locals but not for an Irish family. There wasn’t even a fan to be had so it made for a few uncomfortable nights. The animation team were great with kids and you could see they worked hard to involve all the children and make sure they had a great time. The pools were great, very cold given the time of year but when you got your shoulders under it was lovely. Couple of slides nothing too exciting and 1 slide in particular has so little water flowing down it you have to drag yourself down it. There is an indoor pool that you must wear swim caps for and an adult only roof top jacquzzi which is an ideal sun bathing spot. There was an indoor play area and an outside park I though both were excellent and well equipped with plenty to entertain the kids my only issue was the out door parks opening hours it sometimes wasn’t open until 11am now I don’t know about other kids but ours was on the go from 7 and was itching to get into that park from 9 so revising the opening times would be good considering it doesn’t require staff supervision. The area itself is too far from resort centre to walk with children, we were told there was a coastal walk which was beautiful but with prams and the like it was an ordeal haha we took the bus in and out of town with a T10 card, the girl is the bus plana shop across the road was excellent wrote down the bus numbers and stops we should use to get back from town. We were self catering so mostly ate at the restaurants up the hill from h10 a favourite being Route 66. We ate 1 breakfast and 1 dinner at the hotel and found both to be cold compared to what we would usually have. There was plenty of selection and what we did eat was nice and it seemed like quality.…
we went self catering but ended up going half board. 18 euros for all you can eat breakfast and evening meal ( drinks not included on the evening meal). The quality and options is fantastic. I am a veggie and never worried. We never needed much lunch and not having to cook and wash up was a lovely bonus. The cooking facilites in the apartment were quite basic as most self catering hotels are, but were in great condition and worked well. The rooms were immaculate and we had fresh towels and a made up bed every day. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the waiting staff were lovely. The really kind to our autistic son , especially Francisca and Maria. The hotel was spotless the pools lovely and plenty of space. The bars and lunch time restaurants were excellent and not overly priced and the same for the bars. Great entertainment every night with something for everyone. Buses to Salou Portadventura and local areas just outside the hotel. The local beach (10 min walk) was great with a little bar and watersports activites. My only negative was that we had to ask about everything. A little booklet on the local area etc would of been much appreciated. We didn't see our rep for a few days and then we found out so much more,…
Absolutely brilliant! A large apartment, cleaned daily, with balcony to sit and dry swimmers/towels. Food was excellent. There was a massive choice, all fresh. We especially loved the fresh fruit, fresh fish and churros. We loved the upper pool, as did the kids. It had 3 different slides, as well as shallow play area and a deeper area for swimming. At least one life guard, often two, were on duty all the time. Pool is roped off until 10am, and you need to queue if you want specific beds. We had no problems getting beds every day. The younger children ( aged 5-7) attended the kidsclub on a couple of days and really enjoyed themselves doing crafts and games. The next age group (9-12) joined their club which was all different sports. But the highlight of the holiday was the mini disco with Daisy, whilst the adults enjoyed sampling the cocktails. I recommend the Juicy Temptation. This was a brilliant holiday for the 12 of us,including kids. (Just one tip- don't bother with the restaurant by the upper pool. It was expensive and the food tool along time to come. We only tried once and never went back)…
We had such a great time while we were here we have decided to come back in October , all the staff were very friendly & helpful , animation team were excellent , bar and restaurant staff were really nice and greeted everyone with smiles , hotel is ace pools were fab lots of fun and not too cold , plenty of food for choice and drinks , loved our cocktails at night time while the kids watched the shows , one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in salou and we’ve stayed in a fair few , rooms cleaned daily and very modern , Wi-Fi was very quick all through the hotel.
We visit this Hotel every year and it never fails to impress . The staff are all so helpful especially Judith and Jordi on reception. The cleaning staff make sure the rooms are immaculate, changing towels every day and making beds . The Hotel inside and out is cleaned daily and always smells devine. They have a good choice of food in snack bar, pizzeria and restaurant, always something for everyone. Animation team fabulous, entertainment amazing. I really cannot fault this Hotel and would recommend it to young and old. Busses into Salou just outside or reception will call you a taxi. Good selection of pools or relax on the rooftop. Always a lush holiday
