The H10 Mediterranean Village is lauded for its vibrant atmosphere and friendly service, with the entertainment team receiving particular praise from guests. Travelers enjoy the spacious, clean rooms, though some have noted soundproofing issues and occasional maintenance concerns. While the hotel's location is appreciated for its closeness to local attractions and dining options, the terrain may prove a challenge for some. The array of pools and activities add to the enjoyable experience, despite concerns over overcrowding and extra charges for parking and certain amenities.

Decent enough hotel, first impressions are good, reception staff were helpful and nice atmosphere when you first come in. We were in the self catering apartments, we had 2 rooms as 2 adults and 3 children age 9, 13, 15. Rooms were next door but not interconnected and we each had wrist bands to access our rooms so I couldn’t access the other room myself which was inconvenient as were were only really sleeping in the separate rooms but having breakfast etc togeather. Also no oven or freezer compartment so limited in what you can actually cook in the room, not great for “self catering” I thought.

Entertainment was average, the Queen tribute was the best that week and we did enjoy it. As we were self gathering we had our own drinks and snacks to watch the evening shows guy on the last night were told this was not allowed and we were expected to buy drinks and food from the bar which we were not going to do. It’s an outdoor seating area, people should be allowed to bring whatever they want especially since the bar has a poor selection anyway.
The pools are decent, there’s 2 main pools and a splash park across the road. Only downside is that although it’s clearly stated that you cannot reserve sun beds, we came down one morning to a towel on almost every sun bed and only a handful of people in the pool area. We were there for hours and never seen anyone return to the sunbeds. Despite staff saying they remove towels, this never happened and it was quite clear they had been “reserved” so this is poor in my opinion as we had to sit in the shade all morning whilst the towels on the lovely sunny side of the pool were nice and warm.
No floats allowed in pool which is for safety so I understand. Daughter had armbands which were fine.

Walls are paper thin, was awoken several times by screaming babies/children, could hear every step from next door.
The bathrooms do have shower gel and body wash etc and even toothbrushes so this was a nice touch.
We didn’t try the buffet as thought it was very expensive. £30 per adult (over age 12) for breakfast and dinner but this did not include any drinks so we didn’t think was worth it.

This hotel is in cap salou so there is only a handful of restaurants within walking distance and only 2 of them worth visiting (route 66 and Tripical). There is a nice little beach within walking distance which was lovely.

Overall hotel was average and could have been better. Wouldn’t stay in this particular hotel agin mainly due to location but would consider other H10 locations elsewhere.

Dear SlinkyDog1, thank you for sharing your experience with us. First of all, tell you that we are glad that you enjoyed your vacation with us. Secondly, we would like to remind you that for privacy reasons, the bracelets only open the room where each client is staying. Also remind you that in the bar area, you are only allowed to consume bar products, we regret that this was an inconvenience for you. We should also say that we are very attentive to the issue of hammock reservations, and that towels are removed every day if we see that after a reasonable amount of time there is no one using them. We are glad to know that you liked the cove in front of our hotel. Receive a cordial greeting from our entire team. Public relations department.

Just got back from H10 Mediterranean-Stayed here as a family of 5 with my 13,10 and 5 year old
Wanted to give our honest review as I found it helpful when we were first looking at booking this hotel …
Once dropped by our coach outside the hotel we found the Hotel entrance through the barrier up the hill on the right.
The reception area is very smart and felt newly refurbished
Opposite is the splash park which we only used once on the day of arrival.
It was really good for my 5 year old, my 10 year old also enjoyed spending some time there-Lots of sun beds available when we arrived at 12 pm and nice they have a lifeguard to keep watch.
Check in is 3pm and the lady was very friendly and helpful - we were able to store our cases in an (unlocked) side room which was fine by me (bedrooms take time to clean and prepare so understood the 3pm check in policy)
Booked a one bedroom apartment and was self catering so had the kitchenette which was super useful for storing drinks cold in the fridge which was really nice and cold
Tip- take a small cool bag if you can and then you can take your cold drinks to the pool
Also had a small Freezer compartment but didn’t use that.
Our 1 bed apartment was just big enough for 5 of us for one week, any longer and a bigger apartment would have been much better
Requested a pool view/high room
Didn’t get the pool view but we were not fussed as the view we had out the back looking over PortAventura in the distance was fab. (Theme park worth the visit) My 13 year old loved it but it was busy
Stayed in B block 6th floor was nice and quiet.
The room was clean but basic had a kettle so I was happy with that
Big balcony with an airer for drying the swimwear etc but only 2 chairs for a family of 5
They have shampoo and shower gel which was a nice touch and nice big towels.
Rooms were swept and mopped most days with fresh towels
Handy supermarket on site for fresh croissants and baguettes - Yolanda was helpful and friendly (use Carrefor down the road for a bigger selection or one next to Pancho snack bar at the bottom of the hill )
Rep recommended the hotel next door for lunch but we didn’t enjoy the food from there and much preferred the H10 snack pool bar for lunch.
My 5 year old went to the kids club once but she missed her siblings so wasn’t really for her. When I went in the staff were great fun and the kids looked like they were enjoying playing the games that were set up. No hesitation in leaving my daughter in there had she wanted to stay longer.
Pizza restaurant was really good and we ate once in the main hotel restaurant.
Food was hot, much better than expected given the volume they cater for and staff worked hard to restock food and clean up. Was allowed to take my wine out to the outside bar when dinner was finished.
Desserts weren’t great as they didn’t taste of anything but they looked good
The pools around this hotel are really enjoyable
Kids loved the pirate ship with its 3 slides and the other pool vibe was great with music and games /bingo etc
I literally spent most days at the pirate ship pool- Lifeguards did a great job keeping everyone safe, thankyou!!
They blow their whistles at the correct time ie when kids are climbing up the slide -no inflatable or balls allowed in the pools but that’s understandable given you can’t see kids under them If they get into trouble !
Waterpolo organised by the staff allowed a ball but because it’s a supervised game that’s fair enough in my opinion
Swim vests/aids were allowed
Staff worked hard clearing up round the pool and sun beds were great -nice and comfortable not the white plastic I was expecting
Tip- if you want a sunbed for the day you need to queue up around 9:40 am- pool opens at 10am
It was abit of a stampede but not as bad as I was expecting and always managed to get some.
Towels we’re removed off sun beds if you didn’t arrive back to your bed by 10:30am from what I witnessed
I guess to stop people going out for hours and leaving no beds for other people - I think this is fair and done with care
Entertainment was actually really good- never had a problem finding tables and we arrived at varied times each night
Kid’s entertainment 8-10pm then adults for the last hour -Michael Jackson tribute was brilliant!!! I was so impressed with this and then we watched Fantasy Bubbles and a magic show.
The other nights entertainment were by the animation team - this was funny doing mum vs dad games and guess the song/movie
They all worked so hard making sure we all had a fab time !
Daisy the mascot was fun for the kids and worked hard especially in this heat!
Staff I remember on the bar Jose, Mariano serving lovely cocktails,Yolanda makes delicious crepes every evening, Tanit in the animation team and Saara who worked in the pool snack bar was very efficient! Food good here especially the Tuna baguette!
We got a taxi into Salou but struggled getting back so used the Plana bus
Number 74 I think- if you get stuck go into a bar and they will call a taxi for you.
Didn’t go to the main beach but did walk down to the small one at the bottom of the hotel -Tiny but beautiful

Pancho snack bar outside the hotel at the bottom of the hill was worth the visit
We went three times ! Yolanda was very kind and helpful
They have some trampolines for the kids 3 euros for 10 mins

Aquopolis water park was worth the visit but buy speedy passes!
Got a taxi for 5 people for around 16 euros
Overall I really enjoyed this hotel and would definitely recommend it for families.
Just needs a bedroom/bathroom refresh as they look tired but who spends that much time in the hotel room anyways …
It’s nice to be set back from busy Salou town especially with young children who were happy to be in a pool all day.
Thankyou H10!! :)

We are just home after a week in H10 Mediterranean Village. We had such a great stay in a one bedroom apartment on the 6th floor of block B. The apartment was much bigger than anticipated and with 2 beds in the living room space we still had plenty of room. We have older kids so the 6th floor was ideal for us, if they had of been smaller I would have been nervous of the balcony but both sliding doors to it had little catches high up to lock the door. Once both sliding doors were shut the aircon would activate - handy to do this while you are out for the day leaving the room to cool down.

The complex has 2 big outdoor pools, the pirate ship one with slides is not heated, and the other one is. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas around the pools and the lifeguards do a great job of letting the kids have fun but also keeping them safe.

There is a little supermarket on site with the kids loved going to get snacks in. For fresh bread the hotel next door has a Carrefore which was handy and for cheaper/more variety of food a 400m walk down into Cap Font there is a Michalangelo Supermercat. The bay at Cap Font was also our favourite beach for swimming at. Plus the variety of restaurants and a pharmacy was a great bonus.

The entertainment team at the hotel were incredible...they worked so hard all day to ensure there were things for everyone to do, mine wouldnt go to kids clubs but would join in with the activities throughout the day. The evening emtertainment was varied and 5 of 7 nights we watched it. The staff in general at the hotel were very friendly and helpful from housekeeping to the bar/wait staff and the team at reception.

The location of the hotel was outside main Salou, this was ideal for us but it was a good 45mins walk along the costal route (steep in places) to the port in Salou. There is a bus stop outside the hotel which takes 10 mins into heart salou and the Reus bus via Salou will drop you near the markets on a Monday. Get a bus card from Bus Plana just outside the hotel as €10 to purchase one gets you 10 one way journeys and as a family of 4 you can tap it 4 times, then to top it up is €6.30. You can travel the full distance of the bus route for 1 tap or €2.10 cash. We visited Cambrils and Tarragona via bus from the hotel which was so handy as they run every 30mins. We really liked the hotels location. Plus the view from our 6th floor apartment was unreal.

Would highly recommend to families looking for a less busy spot than main town Salou!

I’m just back from this hotel with my 13 year old son.
We stayed half board and we were delighted with the food!!…Breakfast had a wide range of hot and cold food, dinner was also very varied with a wide range of salads or hot food,I had tuna steak, grilled pork chop, grilled hake all beautiful and food is well labelled so you know what you’re eating, the staff are all very pleasant and work hard to clear tables and serve drinks.
A good tip to save money on soft drinks buy a green bottle (€4) from reception and refill it with the water pump at pool bar…if you need an iron you can hire one from reception (€13 for 3 days)
Bus station is at bottom of street 10 bus journeys cost €10 to begin but each time after to top the card up it’s €6 for 10 journeys this is handy when going to portaventura or Salou the bus stop at bottom of hill takes you straight to the parks and back again.
If you need a supermarket, restaurant or an Irish bar take a left at the bottom of the st beside bus stop and walk downhill it’s all here including a small sandy beach which isn’t overcrowded, there’s also a bar called Panchos beside bus stop with pool tables etc.
This hotel is in a great location everything you need is on your doorstep, the music stops at 11 so it’s really quiet after this,it’s also in a residential area so no loud party goers in the early hours.
We also had no problem getting a sunbed at the pool around midday,we also enjoyed the snack bar
We also used the gym and indoor pool with the sauna it’s on -1 floor
Lastly we loved the entertainment very good bands!!
I hope to return someday the reception staff are lovely and the tui rep in reception is also great we paid €140 for a 3 day park pass with her it was so handy.

We have been staying at this hotel and it has been wonderful, the facilities are super fun for the little ones and for us as we can take advantage of them. The water park with which we access with the wristband that also facilitates your access to the room is a pass, slides and water jets for all ages, always guarded, with smoking and non-smoking area as throughout the hotel. With the bracelet you can also pay without having to carry cash or card. The hotel has 2 swimming pools, one for swimming and the other with a pirate boat also with slides for everyone, very cool indeed. The very friendly employees like the young girl from the terrace bar where we ate nuguets, Frankfurts and burgers, super friendly. The hotel has a water fountain to refill your bottles whenever you want. The buffet very good, very varied both at breakfast and dinner, there is everything. The right animation for my taste guys don't get involved much with kids. Evening shows very cool but end at about 10.30 or so. It also has a room of mats and nets where my child had a great time, ah! And don't forget to take the picture with Daisy! As a complaint or some that I have not agreed with is that the water in the buffet has to be paid and they put refillable bottle that you can not take. I also see the cleanliness of the rooms as they only made beds and changed towels, I imagine because of the lack of staff. Otherwise it was a great stay. Our favorite place certainly the water park.

Reception is well laid out & staff were helpful. When we arrived at lunchtime we had to leave our luggage in the unlocked luggage room till our 3pm check in 🙈
We felt a bit uneasy about that but we had no choice. There was a security guard wondering around but I don’t suppose he would know whose case belonged to who.

Hotel is located near cap Salou which is a much quieter area. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel. Good luck trying to catch a bus or even queuing for one , a lot of rude queue jumpers. It is by far the cheapest way to travel around Salou but we found it stressful! It’s cheaper to buy a plana card. We were told taxis were quite limited , however we had no problem getting a taxi and reasonably priced.

Entertainment - Saturday night is the best, Michael Jackson tribute is good.

Food choice is ok, we always found something we liked however the Choices for British kids was limited. Lots of fish dishes if you are into that.

Lovely clean pools & splash park. Be prepared to queue for a sun bed🙃 we only ever went to the pool late afternoon so there were always plenty of sun beds . You can hire towels from the hotel which is handy.

Rooms are clean & comfortable. Cleaners came in each day to make our beds, cleaned the bathroom, moped the floor, emptied bins & changed our towels.
There is an in room safe which is operated by creating a 4 digit code.
Hairdryer is rubbish , best to take your own.

Our balcony looked directly over the pools & the entertainment stage which was great.

The pros out weigh the cons. Overall a great hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 11 days, The location of the hotel wasn’t good for families that have prams as there are alot of hills outside the hotel so you can’t go for walks because the hills are steep.

there is a bus stop and taxi rank outside the hotel that brings you into the centre of salou which is around 10 minutes away, there was a wide variety of breakfast and dinner at the hotel every day and it was ok quality.

the entertainment in the hotel isn’t great although the staff work hard day and night you’ll see the same faces all the time they don’t get much of a break, The beds in the hotel rooms only get changed every 4 days which isn’t enough and we only got told this when we arrived.

the air conditioning in the rooms also didn’t work properly and only came on some of the days during our stay the rooms get really warm at nights if its not on. There are hardly any English channels on the tv’s in the rooms.

we had really uncomfortable sleep at night because of the mattresses on the beds we woke up with back aches everyday.

The best part about the hotel was the small kids swimmings area as it was well surrounded with steel fencing and electric gates that you had to swipe a band to get in and out so we could relax better knowing the kids couldn’t get out of the area.

Had a great stay at this hotel, although was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews. Rooms were a little dated, but were cleaned daily and towels changed when they were left on the floor. As we weren’t appearing on ‘Four in a bed’ or some other similar programs, we didn’t inspect for finger prints on the TV or dust on the headboard. Yes, no matter how thick the walls are, other residents will always be disrespectful with noise, but we didn’t have any problems.
Reception was helpful and friendly. The 3pm room access didn’t bother us, as we were prepared for it following others negative comments. The luggage room wasn’t locked, but didn’t see this as a problem, and there were lockers, €2, for valuables. There was also an adjoining shower room.
We stayed half board, fantastic breakfasts and adequate evening meals. Always found several things to eat. If you want British food, best to stay in Britain. Found beer prices very reasonable, €3.20 a pint. Yes, there was just one Spanish brand, but you are in Spain!
Managed to get a sun bed every day, arriving at the pool about 11am. Sun beds at the splash park were quieter and sometimes we were the only two there!
Bus stops to Tarragona and Cambrils close by, and found the Michelangelo supermarket, about 5 minutes away, much better stocked than the one next door.
Tui rep, Anne-Marie was helpful and friendly, but couldn’t help us with our one problem. Our airport pick up was at 06:50 and there was no breakfast until 08:00, so although we paid for it, there was no way of getting it. Possibly something Tui should look into.
Overall, you get what you paid for, and we were happy with what we got.

From start to finish the staff have been amazing 👏 The security guard Aitor was ever so helpful and always so happy 😊
The cleaners are very polite and our room was always smelling fresh and very clean 👌
Cap salou is a very beautiful place and in short distance from salou itself if you fancy a bit of the madness but if your looking for somewhere to relax and enjoy some peaceful time, the Mediterranean village is definitely the 1.
We will 100% be back and with more people ❤️

There are pros and cons to this hotel, I’ll be as honest as I can about our experience below.

Room is clean and good kitchen for bits - we stayed in a one bed apartment. You can hear everything in other rooms though. Lovely balcony that overlooked the pool with chairs and a clothes dryer. Bed comfy and sofa bed for our son was good.

Supermarket as cheap as those off site which surprised me, well stocked for drinks and crisps by the pool too.

The pool and slides are great for kids… BUT you will need to start queuing to get a space from 930-945. We stayed in half term but I can imagine in August this would be even worse. People leave towels for most of the morning and they’re not moved. There very few sun beds where you can watch your children. I don’t think it’s as bad at the bottom pool but you would still need to queue.

Breakfast is good but dinner was cold and not much choice for children if they don’t like cheese, they can eat chips but I’m not sure they’d want them for a week.

The entertainment is very hit and miss. We saw a great Queen tribute whilst we were there but they also playing quite a few expletive tracks at the kids mini disco 😆 so be warned. They try hard but it’s definitely not TUI animation etc and again unless you’re sat from about 8 you won’t get a seat outside.

You can walk to Salou along the front in about 25 mins, regular buses too, so good location
