My wife and I had a wonderful week of vacation in september 23 at H10 Mediterranean Village in Salou. First of all, hotel was very good: comfort, staff, restaurants, location... The weather was fantastic. It is the 4th time this year that we visit an H10 hotel, there will be a 5th time in December and we are very satisfied with H10 hotels. We are not pool or beach freaks, but walk a lot, we like to do terraces and restos. Very good public transport, La Plana. The Cami del Ronda is a beautiful walk along the coast of salou and beyond. Salou has nice beach and nice shops. Definitely worth is visiting is Tarragona, easily accessible by bus, with its Roman settlements and its old town. We will come back to this hotel.

Hotel's Favourite
Just got back from H10 Mediterranean-Stayed here as a family of 5 with my 13,10 and 5 year old Wanted to give our honest review as I found it helpful when we were first looking at booking this hotel … Once dropped by our coach outside the hotel we found the Hotel entrance through the barrier up the hill on the right. The reception area is very smart and felt newly refurbished Opposite is the splash park which we only used once on the day of arrival. It was really good for my 5 year old, my 10 year old also enjoyed spending some time there-Lots of sun beds available when we arrived at 12 pm and nice they have a lifeguard to keep watch. Check in is 3pm and the lady was very friendly and helpful - we were able to store our cases in an (unlocked) side room which was fine by me (bedrooms take time to clean and prepare so understood the 3pm check in policy) Booked a one bedroom apartment and was self catering so had the kitchenette which was super useful for storing drinks cold in the fridge which was really nice and cold Tip- take a small cool bag if you can and then you can take your cold drinks to the pool Also had a small Freezer compartment but didn’t use that. Our 1 bed apartment was just big enough for 5 of us for one week, any longer and a bigger apartment would have been much better Requested a pool view/high room Didn’t get the pool view but we were not fussed as the view we had out the back looking over PortAventura in the distance was fab. (Theme park worth the visit) My 13 year old loved it but it was busy Stayed in B block 6th floor was nice and quiet. The room was clean but basic had a kettle so I was happy with that Big balcony with an airer for drying the swimwear etc but only 2 chairs for a family of 5 They have shampoo and shower gel which was a nice touch and nice big towels. Rooms were swept and mopped most days with fresh towels Handy supermarket on site for fresh croissants and baguettes - Yolanda was helpful and friendly (use Carrefor down the road for a bigger selection or one next to Pancho snack bar at the bottom of the hill ) Rep recommended the hotel next door for lunch but we didn’t enjoy the food from there and much preferred the H10 snack pool bar for lunch. My 5 year old went to the kids club once but she missed her siblings so wasn’t really for her. When I went in the staff were great fun and the kids looked like they were enjoying playing the games that were set up. No hesitation in leaving my daughter in there had she wanted to stay longer. Pizza restaurant was really good and we ate once in the main hotel restaurant. Food was hot, much better than expected given the volume they cater for and staff worked hard to restock food and clean up. Was allowed to take my wine out to the outside bar when dinner was finished. Desserts weren’t great as they didn’t taste of anything but they looked good The pools around this hotel are really enjoyable Kids loved the pirate ship with its 3 slides and the other pool vibe was great with music and games /bingo etc I literally spent most days at the pirate ship pool- Lifeguards did a great job keeping everyone safe, thankyou!! They blow their whistles at the correct time ie when kids are climbing up the slide -no inflatable or balls allowed in the pools but that’s understandable given you can’t see kids under them If they get into trouble ! Waterpolo organised by the staff allowed a ball but because it’s a supervised game that’s fair enough in my opinion Swim vests/aids were allowed Staff worked hard clearing up round the pool and sun beds were great -nice and comfortable not the white plastic I was expecting Tip- if you want a sunbed for the day you need to queue up around 9:40 am- pool opens at 10am It was abit of a stampede but not as bad as I was expecting and always managed to get some. Towels we’re removed off sun beds if you didn’t arrive back to your bed by 10:30am from what I witnessed I guess to stop people going out for hours and leaving no beds for other people - I think this is fair and done with care Entertainment was actually really good- never had a problem finding tables and we arrived at varied times each night Kid’s entertainment 8-10pm then adults for the last hour -Michael Jackson tribute was brilliant!!! I was so impressed with this and then we watched Fantasy Bubbles and a magic show. The other nights entertainment were by the animation team - this was funny doing mum vs dad games and guess the song/movie They all worked so hard making sure we all had a fab time ! Daisy the mascot was fun for the kids and worked hard especially in this heat! Staff I remember on the bar Jose, Mariano serving lovely cocktails,Yolanda makes delicious crepes every evening, Tanit in the animation team and Saara who worked in the pool snack bar was very efficient! Food good here especially the Tuna baguette! We got a taxi into Salou but struggled getting back so used the Plana bus Number 74 I think- if you get stuck go into a bar and they will call a taxi for you. Didn’t go to the main beach but did walk down to the small one at the bottom of the hotel -Tiny but beautiful Pancho snack bar outside the hotel at the bottom of the hill was worth the visit We went three times ! Yolanda was very kind and helpful They have some trampolines for the kids 3 euros for 10 mins Aquopolis water park was worth the visit but buy speedy passes! Got a taxi for 5 people for around 16 euros Overall I really enjoyed this hotel and would definitely recommend it for families. Just needs a bedroom/bathroom refresh as they look tired but who spends that much time in the hotel room anyways … It’s nice to be set back from busy Salou town especially with young children who were happy to be in a pool all day. Thankyou H10!! :)

Had a lovely family holiday at H10 Mediterranean Village for 7 nights with my wife and 21 month old daughter. We saw the deal last minute and booked just over a week before leaving for Salou. We still did our research and saw that this hotel had very good ratings. The room we were given was large which helped having the cot for our toddler and the wrap around balcony offered lovely pool and sea views. We enjoyed looking out first thing in a morning. The bathroom again was a very good size and the waterfall shower was a bonus. The room itself was always very clean and the staff did a great job replenishing towels daily. We very much enjoyed the food on offer at this hotel. We were staying half board so had our breakfast and evening meals included with breakfast being a particular highlight. There was always lots of choice with fresh fruit, pastries, cereals and cooked items to chose from. Our daughter particularly liked the chocolate covered croissants! Dinner was okay most nights. Again, plenty of choice but some dishes were very similar to what appeared on other nights. We had lunch at the other restaurants not included in our half board and weren’t disappointed. The pizzas from Il Forno we’re delicious, the snack bar was very good as well as the pool bar. Prices were reasonable especially for alcoholic drinks, soft drinks were more expensive than alcohol though I noticed. The pool facilities are fantastic. We mainly used the family pool which had slides and water features. A much better option for our little one was the Jungle water park opposite the hotel main entrance. We thought we would have to pay extra but it was included in our stay! Our little girl loved it. One of my gripes which I will mention again shortly is the people smoking around the family pool. This should not be allowed. I understand the laws in Spain are different but with children running past taking in smoke from cigarettes, is not acceptable. It was mainly Brits of course but smoking should be contained around the adult only pool or have a smoke free areas where people can go to. The entertainment was very good despite the obsession with Daisy! Table service in the stage area was good and we could pay with our hotel wristband that we loaded credit on to. Again, my similar gripe is smoking. We are very anti-smoking and hated the fact we had to battle to find a table each night away from smokers! Should be segregated to smoke free areas, I have the choice to not breath in your killer smoke! Overall, the hotel was really clean with good food and great facilities. Big shoutout to the fantastic catering staff who were the most hardworking I’ve seen on my travels. Would definitely stay again.

This was our second year in a row at this hotel and it did not disappoint. The animation team were brilliant, especially Samuel who my son gained a great friendship with during our two weeks there. They put on plenty of activities during the day which we took part in and really enjoyed. Evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss but we really enjoyed the Michael Jackson tribute and The Millenials. Bar staff worked really hard too, shout out to Sebastian who remembered us from last year and was always very attentive. We stayed self catering but had 2 days half board which cost €75 for the 4of us. Breakfast was repeated but plenty of choice and the evening meal differed but found something for the picky eaters in our group. We also had food from the pizzeria and pool snack bar that was reasonably priced and tasty. We requested a lower ground room which to my horror was block b floor 6 when we arrived. Asked to be moved to be told hotel was full and couldn’t be allocated another room. After the initial shock of being so high up and terrified I began to appreciate the view of the pool and the sea. The only thing I could say in criticism to this hotel is that there isn’t an all inclusive option, however with the drinks and snacks prices not being extortionate it’s not that big of a problem. Thank you H10 for your hospitality and we hope to come back here one day :)

What an amazing holiday the hotel was of excellent standards and the resort was lovely. Special mention to Sebastion our bar waiter for the excellent service Cap Salou is beautiful a little hilly but you get used to it beautiful coves and beaches with beautiful La Pinaeda only a 20/25 min stroll away and the main town of Salou a 10 min bus ride. Be sure to get the multi person bus pass can’t remember what’s it’s called but 10 journeys for €10 then only €6.5 for a top up of 10 more trips Would 100% return

If I was to detail all elements of our stay that made this so unbearable we would be here all day. This was our first holiday with our 18 month old and we have TODAY flown home 2 days early because we absolutely could not bear to stay any longer. I work in health and safety management within the hospitality sector here in the UK and let me tell you this hotel is 1. Concerning and 2. nowhere NEAR 4 stars!! The service is nothing short of appalling and they would do well to RETRAIN their staff as a bare minimum. - reception staff beyond awful, rude, dismissive, unwelcoming, misinformed about basic information. - catering staff- rude, food mainly inedible - cleaning staff- I watched the cleaners spend 6 hours cleaning the rooms on just our corridor and still not be done, so in answer to the many reviews below about your rooms not being cleaned… this is why, they’re still on floor 1! Our room was also filthy, our feet were black and I was scared to let my little girl play on the floor. - jet2 rep- utterly useless, physically uncontactable - pools NOT HEATED - lifeguards- on their phones or facing the opposite direction to the pools- both sackable offences back here in the UK, I would NOT trust them to save anybody. - no irons, kettles in rooms - no information given on arrival or in the rooms and when you ask at reception it’s like you are inconveniencing them… provide us as customers with the information we need then!! Absolutely basic. - my little girl was poorly and I ended up in tears in the reception area as I had asked for bottled, clean water for her to drink several times and been told no. I eventually took myself to the bar where a nice bar man helped me, and also gave me some warm milk but reception had reduced me to tears… the next day the jet2 rep ( otherwise uncontactable) appeared at our room door to tell me that reception had reported me as “drunk and disorderly”. I was absolutely mortified, I had not drank and was desperately trying to care for my daughter. These are the idiots working within this “hotel”. I’d sack every SINGLE staff member I met during our stay here apart from the barman who helped me. - when we arrived the receptionist didn’t say hello but demanded to see proof of payment then took my phone out of my hand and started taking screen shots ( without permission) and emailing them to herself from my phone! I could go on, but I will save everything else I have to say for my formal complaint that is already being typed up to jet2 themselves… we WILL be getting our money back for this stay. Some pointers for anybody genuinely considering staying here: - please don’t put yourselves through it. We aren’t overly picky, we are nice professional people with a young family and this place was like hell on earth genuinely, I have never felt so unwelcome, dismissed and unsupported in all my life. - the responses to other reviews from the hotel that I have sat and read tonight are laughable, and unprofessional. Your reviews speak for you and they are not good. I agree with the majority of the negative feedback this hotel had received as the same points are being raised again and again. A 2 star that requires improvement at best. As for you- H10 yourselves… you should be ashamed of the poor job you are doing here. So many things need addressing, you are not doing a good job and I am so, so happy to be home and away from your toxic, unfriendly environment and team.

This hotel was a great stay initially for our family. The food was good. We were half board and there was lots of variety. The downside was evening food wasn’t served until 6:45pm which was a little late for our one year old. Likewise the kids disco didn’t start until 7:30pm which again was too late for us but would be suited to families with kids that are a bit older. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment it was spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. The walls and ceilings are very thin so you could hear a lot of noise mainly furniture moving which I can only assume is the other apartments constructing their sofa beds. This was the only issue with the room. The splash pad was perfect for our toddler wasn’t busy you could always get a sun bed. All pools were pretty cold so we couldn’t make use of them but they were clean and the area around was lovely. Perfect for the kids. Overall our stay was great until the last day where we had our apartment cleaned. The maid had taken our daughters blanket which was on top of the bed sheets. We noticed when we put our daughter to bed and enquired at reception. They said they would check. Fast forward the next day we were told the sheets are washed off site and they would check with the cleaning company. Our daughter didn’t sleep well that night without her blanket. We then were heading home so had email correspondence with the hotel. They were responsive but seemed to be very dismissive of the urgency of losing this item. To many it isn’t a big deal but for a baby to loose her comfort at night it was a big issue. We are now over 2 weeks from when we left the hotel and the hotel have just said they cannot find it. It’s difficult to conclude this review in a positive way when the end of our holiday was ruined. We have had sleepless nights since returning home because we don’t have the blanket. The hotels response was we are closing this case because we can’t find it. Honestly it’s not good enough. My warning would be to either not let maids in or else put all your important stuff away when they come to clean because they don’t take much care in the belongings it seems.

Dear guest, We appreciate your detailed review and are glad to hear that you enjoyed most aspects of your stay at our hotel. However, we are deeply concerned about the unfortunate incident regarding your daughter's blanket, and we would like to address this issue. First and foremost, we want to assure you that our housekeeping staff is well-trained and professional. They have been with us for a long time, and we have always maintained a high level of trust in their integrity and commitment to guest satisfaction. Accusations without concrete proof can be damaging, and we take such allegations seriously. We understand the distress you and your family have experienced due to the loss of your daughter's blanket, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We have conducted a thorough investigation into this matter, and we have not found any evidence of wrongdoing on the part of our housekeeping staff. Our staff members have consistently displayed a high level of responsibility and dedication to their work. It's important to note that we have standard procedures in place for handling lost items, and we work closely with our external laundry company to ensure the safekeeping of guests' belongings. Despite our best efforts, sometimes items may go missing unintentionally, and we genuinely regret that this happened in your case. We also want to emphasize that making baseless accusations on social media without evidence can have serious legal consequences. We encourage open and constructive communication with our guests to address any concerns promptly and fairly. Our intention is always to resolve issues to the best of our ability and maintain the trust of our valued guests. We genuinely hope that you will consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with a more positive experience in the future. We take all feedback seriously and continuously strive to improve our services. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, and we remain committed to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of all our guests. Kind regards,

We recently spent 9 days in the H10 mediterranean village. I would highly recommend the hotel especially if you have young children. My daughter Chloe is 4 and absolutely loved the daisy club. She went there twice every day and there is a kids disco every night which she loved also. The staff at the daisy club in particular were amazing and so kind with their time for my daughter, all 5 of them I couldn't speak more highly of them: Alondra, Samuel, Tanit, Julian & John. Everything else was perfect with the hotel, the food was great, room was nice and clean and the reception staff were very helpful in particular Johnjoe. I would highly recommend the hotel for a stay with young children.

Hotel itself is lovely, nice reception area, big pools and bus stop right outside if you want to go to Salou. We opted self catering and room was a one bed apartment, ample space for 2 adults and a 15 year old. For self catering we had a few wee niggles, no iron board or simple things like a tin opener but solved when addresses with staff, great big balconies . I paid €10 for a breakfast in the hotel and wasn’t impressed but plenty of selection just I didn’t find it appealing. Pool side bar has the most miserable bar man I’ve ever seen or watched ! Dymitrus, wat a let down for a lovely wee poolside bar his face was tripping him and he just did not want to serve!! Can highly recommend golden coast , food was amazing and five minute walk- big hill though
