Spacious 4 star (2 star reality) hotel within the grounds of Portaventura park. Customer service is just poor, complain about anything and oh well this is how we do it. If i had paid £100 a night I wouldn’t complain, but at £500 a night in August 2022 i feel ripped off, 2 adults and 2 children stayed. Pros - 10 minute walk to rear park entrance specially for guests into park - swimming pool, only comes up to waist Cons - no room service - free tickets to ferrariland, oh wait no shuttle bus, thought this was a resort? - swimming pool out of action for a complete day waiting for a pool cleaner to arrive, at 5pm manager offered we could use adjacent pool, we had been there since 930am being told wait and we will clean - air con failed first 3 days of our 6 day stay - the cowboy theming is odd, doesnt fit in any way with the theme park - the food is terrible, like really bad school dinners buffet. They describe it as ‘delicion’ on their website, it is a packed sweaty buffet experience of busy tables and lousy food quality. This is 1 star, yet they claim 4 star and charge 5 star prices. Would never stay here again UK visitors, think Alton towers, but Alton towers is better for the hotel. ‘Style over substance’

My daughter and I stayed at Colorado Creek, Portaventura for 1-week. I can not compliment ALL the staff highly enough they were welcoming, fun, helpful. A particular shout out to Monica at reception, Ester at the bar and the restaurant staff. The hotel provides easy access to the park ahead of the opening times which allowed us to join some of the queues early. The hotel food was gorgeous with a great selection- even for gluten free. The staff really looked after us. Thanks for a great holiday!!

The hotel was lovely and reminded us of hotels in Disney Florida. We had a deluxe room which came with fast passes for the rides which is a must in the busy times (August). We also had buffet breakfast included which had plenty of choice. We paid for evening buffet for one night which was nice but a little expensive and would have gone for an Italian restaurant in the park if we were to return. The staff were friendly and helpful especially Dnella who was helpful and understanding. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed here for 5 days. The portaventura park was great and beautifully set up. Unfortunate that the weather was roasting the whole time due to the heat wave. Queues were excessive - most rides circa 2 hours with no AC and I really do think the park should cap the numbers to avoid this and therefore provide a better experience for the visitors. The hotel in itself was great, great decor and surprisingly quiet in the cabins. The buffet restaurant was passable - ok food and service was good. A big shout out to Rosana - I think she’s the boss of the restaurant - she is awesome and great with the kids. She made sure there was singing every night she was on. A couple of nights she was off so there was no singing - this should be addressed to make sure the experience is the same regardless of who is working. Also one of the chefs - don’t recall his name - he is Moroccan (from Essaouira) lovely man and very friendly - made sure everyone was fed as well as possible. Overall a good stay. The family loved it and would recommend for 3-4 day stay.

Wow, this place is just gorgeous. We were welcomed warmly at the door, led straight to reception, fast check-in, cases put in luggage room until our room was ready and had our key cards so we could access the park immediately if we wished to do so. We spent the time walking around the hotel & grounds, which are fabulous and had a couple of cold beers. Great start to the holiday! We received a text a couple of hours later to say our room was ready and what a beautiful room it was. Spacious, immaculately clean, comfortable, 2 big beds, big tv, small fridge, bathroom with a massive shower and really efficient air conditioning. We were on a half board basis so needed to book our meals for each morning and evening. When you enter your hotel room there is a code on the dressing table - simply scan it with your phone and it enables you to choose your options for meal times and how to book them. We never had any problems getting the time slot we wanted and found we could go into the app any time and change it to a different time slot if we needed to. At breakfast you simply present your key card for scanning and at dinner show the code on your phone. The buffets for breakfast & dinner have masses of choice and high quality produce. You are allowed 40 minutes for breakfast and 1 hour for dinner. After our first dinner we wandered around the buffet and familiarised ourselves with exactly where everything was - this will save loads of time when it comes to your next meal. The buffets are run with excellent efficiency. You’re greeted at the door by a staff member who checks your booking, another member of staff leads you to your table and leaves a slip of paper on the table - this is then used by the next member of staff who takes your drink order, than another brings your drinks - it is run like a well oiled machine - very impressive. The walk to the park is fabulous - only a few minutes away through the Gold River complex (you can use all of the Gold River facilities as well as Colorado Creek) where you feel like you are in an old Western town. The atmosphere is amazing! Security at the Portaventura gate sometimes check your bag. You then just swipe your card key and you’re in the park. All staff in this hotel are excellent - friendly, efficient and made us feel so welcome from start to finish. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel - we had a wonderful time here and will definitely be back.

This hotel and park exceeded our expectations. The park is run very well and everyone is very helpful. The hotel was fantastic from start to finish. Check-in was a little bit of wait but smooth and friendly once you get to the reception person. There was always staff around to direct or answer questions. You can tell they have all been trained well and are there to help in any way. The initial room we were given had a cigarette smell (not their fault that people don't follow the rules) and they were able to move us to another room. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom was very clean. The bed was super comfy. A/C worked great. Breakfast was fantastic with so much to choice. There are time slots to avoid overcrowding and we didn't feel rushed. Be sure to book your time slot as soon as you check-in (it is online). My daughter is Celiac and has a gluten free diet and they did an amazing job with bringing her the items she wanted to eat for breakfast. Lots of things to choose from. Inside the park she had less options but there were definitely places she could eat. The staff are very aware of how to serve gluten free food. Pool was great as well with a lifeguard. Overall I would say that our whole trip was fantastic. The hotel experience excellent, the staff amazing. I would maybe even say that Port Adventura is better suited for Celiacs than EuroDisney.

This is a new clean hotel which has some major issues. The room was spacious enough with two double beds. The bathroom was fine but had a very small toilet area. We suffered as a result of the wifi not working which was a big issue as you book all your meal times, breakfast and evening meals online. Eventually we had to book through reception who were aware of the issues. The meal times bring a new meaning to fast food. You are allocated an hour slot, if your not there early your in a big que thus you could be up to 10 mins late getting in. Once your in it’s a free for all for the food which is at best average, indeed with 20 mins left of your hour slot, the hot food has been taken away. Evening meals are worse, they start at 7.30pm which is too late for families with young children, this also means you miss some shows in the theme park which start at 8pm. The food is nothing special and feel like your are chasing the clock before you are asked to leave, it’s a conveyor belt system. The staff whilst friendly are all new and many have no idea what to do. We had to contact reception on occasions for toilet rolls, shower gel and also to stop our shower leaking all over the floor. The room had a balcony which we could not access, it also had a small stream outside which attracted mosquitoes into our room which meant we were badly bitten. Sadly there was no evening entertainment and zero atmosphere in the hotel. I’m afraid this wasn’t a venue we would rush back to.

Beautiful outside the hotel and surrounding grounds. The theming is great. Same goes for the communal areas of the hotel. The hotel smells amazing and I wish they did candles to take home of the smell they use! The bedroom was large with two large beds. Plenty of storage space and decor was very well themed with the rest of the hotel and looked luxurious. Some small touches required attention - our toilet roll holder had fallen off the wall and our shower gel dispenser was empty. This wasn’t picked up on by the cleaning staff despite us leaving them there so it was obvious. We would have reported this to reception staff but it was always very busy with people checking in. They need to have a desk allocated for already checked in guests only as it was impossible to ask for any assistance due to the queues. The toilet roll in the room was very poor quality and needs improving for a 4 star hotel. Breakfast has lots of choice but is very busy and quite stressful - no one seems to queue and there isn’t any particular system in place. You only get 40 minutes and staff do ask you to leave at the end of the 40 minutes. I’ve been to many buffet breakfasts and they have been better managed. You do get express passes as part of the booking but these are only to use once on each ride over 2 days. This doesn’t include all of the rides and doesn’t include any in Ferrari land. Staff didn’t explain this very well on check in. You can use your room key to scan after any purchases in the park to collect ‘points’ these add up to money on your card that you can use for discount on any purchases over 35 euros in the park. Try to stick to using one card for this so you collect all the discount on one card. This wasn’t explained by the staff and would have been useful to know from the start. A slight walk into the park but only around 5 -10 minutes. You get your own entrance which brings you out near stampedia and avoids the crowds of people entering from the main entrance.

3 nights spent at the hotel and from checking in to leaving we had the best time. Checking in was simple and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the theme was brillant. The restaurant was very good and the staff were very nice. The express passes we had for the theme parks were great and needed as it was very busy over the Easter holidays and with a 5 and 8 year old that don't like queuing it made the trip extra special. Will defintely be back in the future, highly recommend.

2 years ago we spent 2 nights in this hotel and found it great and very well adapted for kids. We decided to come back this year and we were really disappointed. The accommodation is fine (however some floor cleaning is needed). The deception was about the restaurant. First of all nobody inform you in advance that you have to subscribe for particular time of the meal (the day of our arrival there was only 22:30 slot available.. which is just unfair when you have little kids and you booked semi-pension option in advance). Secondly, as soon you are accepted in the restaurant you have 1 hr only for the meal. And every day like that under pretext of Covid. From my point of view there is a error of the restaurant management: under-sized and under-staffed (or regrouping of several hotels in one restaurant? ) but definitely not due to any Covid restriction. Staff is trying to some efforts but there are just too many clients for one single restaurant. So we'll not return in this hotel in the future.
