its seems guidelines regarding covid aren't followed or checked in this hotel. Manager very unhelpful about resolving or cancelling my stay. Just left another hotel in torremolinos that had this covered. This hotel (if you can call it that) doesnt care. Apparently no head office to raise a complaint. Looking for flights Home rather than stay in this pit. Avoid!!!!!
We stayed for a week in studio apartment, which was very clean and comfortable, staff were helpful and friendly. It is in a good location, few minutes walk to beach and restaurants. We wanted accomodation as a base to explore the Costa del Sol area and this was perfect.
Fantastic spot and couldn’t be more perfect for what myself and my husband need when we’re away. Basic but clean and safe, containing all the necessities, lovely pool and relaxing atmosphere. I would love to bring my extended family with us next year.
After reading some of the reviews of the Vistamar, I was expecting it to be a cross between The Bates Motel and Crossroads, but it was a nice clean hotel. We stayed in room 713, as stated in other reviews the balcony wall is unusually high and there is a mish mash of utensils, but we only used the room as somewhere to sleep and shower and for that it was perfect. We had breakfast there twice, the first time was ok but the next day it was a bit chaotic and the staff although nice, were a bit casual on there approach in there service skills. But for 6 euros pp you can't expect the Ritz. The Vistamar is good value for the price paid.
We arrived at the hotel at 10.20am but couldn't check in till 3pm. However the staff were friendly ,.We booked a studio room which was on the eighth floor , The balcony didnt get any sunshine during the day and the mountain view would have been nice if the balcony wall wasnt so highly built , You have to walk up a very steep hill to enter the hotel reception although we found out a day later that you can gain entry though the garden security gate with your room key card , walk though the ground floor garage area where you will find lifts directly to reception or your room ( saves knackering yourself out walkin up the hill)... The hotel does have it's good points , Our towels were changed every day and theyalways left us plenty of toilet rolls, bins emptied and cleaned to a good standard , Bar prices were probably the most reasonable priced ones I've ever come across and the lovely beach was only across the other side of the road I can honestly say that I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it for a cheap getaway , We found a really decent bar down the road called Cocos that did some really nice meals with Man sized portions, The main nightlife is a long walk away . But all the major attractions arnt that far away so the hotel sempt an ideal place for exploring,. The express shopping trip to Gibraltar is a must and at only €15 per person is awesome value for money ( booked at Rubens excursions and Money Exchange).I'd also recommend a boat trip dolphin spotting on a Catamaran from Belmadena marina ! €10 , The Butterfly Park , Buddist Temple and the Castle built as a memorial to Christiphor Columbus are also worth a visit . Make the most of public transport wether bus or train , They are cheap and regular , The train to Feungirola costs just over €2 and Belmadena station is set in a lovely part of town with good shopping, bars and cafes. So Yeah the Vista Mar has the odd fault but good value for money and definitely a good base for exploring the Costa Del Sol …
