This is a favourite place of mine for a walk at the lake followed by coffee and cake at the Seehaus. Good choice of delicious cakes, typical large portions - we are in Oberfranken! - and good coffees and teas. In wintertime lovely to warm up inside after a bracing walk, and enjoy the view. Summertime on the terrace is beautiful. Service is good indoors, can be slow outdoors in summer when busy, always friendly.

First off, the view of the lake from the room is very nice, even in the rain. The room itself was not very welcoming: hard wooden chairs, cheap Italian themed reproductions; the mattress needs to be replaced and I kept stabbing my toe on the iron bed frame. But both the room and the bathroom were very clean. The staff is from Berlin, very friendly, but speak almost no English. We were there at the end of May, which is asparagus season, and we had some very good white asparagus dishes at the restaurant. Breakfast is buffet style, good and plenty.

My husband was here for business and I tagged along. The hotel is on a beautiful lake with walking trails. It would be a nice location in good weather but it was cold and snowy while we were here. The staff is friendly but speak very little English. The rooms are clean and bathrooms are modern. Some rooms allow smoking so there is a strong smoke smell in the hallway at times. The snow removal is lacking. The parking lot was snow and ice covered. The restaurant is really good! Wifi is sketchy in rooms but good in restaurant. If you are looking for ammenties this is not the place but if you just want a clean decent place to sleep it is good.
