Very good stay so completely agree with everything that has already been written. Excellent mini club, the children, for whom it was their first experience, were delighted. Rethink 2 or 3 little things so that everything is perfect:
Arriving on a Saturday, we noticed that neither a wipe on the tables nor a simple vacuum cleaner had been done until the following Friday! We are emerging from a pandemic and despite recurring difficulties in finding staff, there are essentials including hygiene in what serves as the very cozy heart of the club. Sitting at a dining table on an uncleaned floor is not at all pleasant. And we're not talking about the children always dragging themselves on the carpet! That's the big problem!
The terrace! Obviously it was originally a winter resort but today it offers assets for great summer holidays. Apart from the terrace, obviously there is no exterior, since it was not originally planned for! So where to stay during the day? Maybe arrange it better, simply parasols, shaded seating areas would be a huge plus, because otherwise what is great in winter becomes unbearable in summer...except in the evening! And there, in order to respect the sleep of neighbors overlooking the terrace, perhaps limit the evenings to max. 11 p.m.?
Also lacking a snack bar, present only in winter on the terrace, or at worst vending machines. The bar is not open all day and depending on the clientele we are not necessarily out every day.
We will end up with the restoration, nothing to complain about in terms of quality and price. Choice and balance of dishes, simple family cooking, but... bland, normal to suit everyone's tastes. But grated cheese with pasta, sauces with Asian dishes, would be welcome. Dried fruits also for breakfast.
All this is just a personal observation, not criticism, on the contrary.

Property's Favourite Review
We had a fantastic time at this all inclusive ski hotel. We arrived at 3pm and our room was ready for us. The rooms, although on the small side, were clean and tidy and there was plenty of room for storage of cases and ski bags. The separate toilet to the shower room was a bonus. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The space in the room could be improved if the TV was mounted in the corner of the room as it is mounted on the wall at the bottom of the bed. This makes the room at the bottom of the bed very tight indeed. The soundproofing in the rooms is good as all the rooms and corridors are carpeted. The rooms are given a quick tidy with towels and toilet rolls replaced daily.
The food was extremely good and there was plenty of choice. A special thanks goes to Sophia as she remembered my 4 slices of gluten free bread every morning. She definitely gives superb service with a smile. All the staff work hard and are polite.
The afternoon crepes/vin chaud/ sweets were lovely. You can come back off the slopes for lunch in the main restaurant or have burgers and chips/ cheese fondue on the terrace. Another option (which they encourage you to do) is to pack a sandwich up for lunch from the breakfast buffet. They even provide bags for you to wrap up your sandwiches in.
One night at the Fondue/Raclette restaurant is included and you book this at reception. This was an added bonus and a change from the main, self service restaurant.
The entertainment during the week was good and we particularly enjoyed the band and duet which performed in the bar area at 6:30pm before the evening meal. Please keep up with this type of entertainment as many people seemed to like this.
The all inclusive drinks are good and there is a wide choice (including cocktails). Bottled water is also included.
We will definitely return to this wonderful hotel. Thank you to all the staff for their hard work.

Can't fault any aspect of our stay here at all.
Staff very polite, helpful and professional in every area of the hotel.
Reception was very quick with at least 4 members of staff on hand to ensure a timeous registration. Tourist tax at 5.60e each. Two keys per room, one for bedroom door, the other for the lockable ski racks which were numbered as per room.
Room was very spacious, warm and spotlessly clean with great views of town and mountains to front of building on 5th floor. Cleaned daily and towels changed on demand.
Great free wi-fi coverage throughout the hotel.
Best ever boot room in all the years I have been skiing with lots of room and heated boot racks, two per room and all numbered. Very easy ski in / ski out.
All inclusive was superb with great choice of very varied food. No complaints at all about what was on offer. Speciality. dishes each evening. Even the house wine was of a very high standard
Bar area very welcoming with good choice of drinks included in all inclusive.
Nightly entertainment with live music as well.
Sauna was excellent, no need to book, spotless and modern with towels provided but remember to take bathing attire.
It's a bit of a trek to walk to/from hotel with luggage to car/transport drop off area , best to use the snow tractors as no vehicles allowed in town. You can't miss them and are available at the drop off area or telephone from hotel for one to come and pick you up, cost 6.50e each for a single journey.
Ski passes available at reception and you take this to a lift pass terminal on same floor to purchase the type you require, easy to use and in English as well.
Would highly recommend a stay here and will definately return.

This was our first experience with the Balambra Group of Hotels and it definitely won’t be are last. My Wife and myself were part of a group of 12 and the rooms we were allocated were over a number of floors , but all had great views over the village and mountains. The location of the Hotel is perfect for Ski In Ski Out a big bonus.
The Balambra Group should not underestimate the quality of all the staff members employed at this hotel, who do everything possible to make your stay as perfect as possible.
A very special mention goes to Kerian a member of the bar team, who remembered all your drinks and went above and beyond what was expected of him, even mixing with the guests on his day off. A second special mention goes to the team looking after the lunch time session on the balcony and the waffle and crepes 4pm session, great service with big smiles on there faces.
The selection of food on offer in the restaurant through Breakfast , lunch and evening meal will more than cater for most, although better signage about individual items would help Vegans or people with food allergies.
There was evening entertainment of some form or other on most evenings, including a casino night, karaoke and a number of show’s performed by the entertainment team, which had full attendance.
Talking to a number of guests, they all agreed they had enjoyed their stay at this Hotel.

My son João Moura Ferreira, a teenager, stayed in a single room but despite this, he was under the responsibility of adults, during his stay from March 23 to 28. It is unacceptable that during his stay his bed is never made, towels changed and the room cleaned... As unacceptable as today, check out day (which is ridiculous in itself being at 10 a.m.), they made him pay - a child - 25 euros for leaving the room 45 minutes after that time. As if in the middle of the week, they didn't have time to clean their room. I demand the return of this sum, which is minimal but unfairly charged... these are the little things that remain in our memories after our stay and which make us not want to come back! Hospitality is not that.

One-week family stay. We took the half board and connecting rooms option. We absolutely did not regret the choice of communicating rooms, with 2 children we appreciated the 2 bathrooms, toilets, storage space, small balconies and the view.
On the restaurant side, breakfast is varied and plentiful. The same goes for dinner, one theme per evening and with basics for children. Note the great efficiency, calm and discretion of Ian in the dining room, whether for clearing up during meals or setting tables to minimize waiting times. Small mention also for Pascal at the bar, always smiling and pleasant. Our youngest, 6 years old, was at the Pirates club. She went there with pleasure, alternating indoor and outdoor activities when the weather permitted.
The only downside was the coldness and/or lack of interest in customers on the part of the reception manager... no questions regarding the progress of our stay, not a smile, just the amount to be paid. You might as well replace it with a payment terminal.

We spent 1 week as a family, two adults and two children all inclusive.
Let's start with the general condition of the hotel. Indeed, the hotel has been very nicely renovated in terms of the common areas (restaurant, bar, reception), however as far as the rooms are concerned it remains very dated and poorly maintained. You should also make an effort on the cleanliness of the stairs leading to the restaurant, it remained sticky and dirty all week.
For our part, the cleaning service only came 3 times a week to empty the trash, make the beds, etc. We expect more from a 4 Star club.
In addition, our two daughters aged 3 and 7 were traumatized by the fire alarm which went off one evening this week at 9:30 p.m. We had to leave our room at 9:30 p.m. with our two daughters in tears and panic because the fire alarm went off for 15 minutes even though it was a mistake! Needless to say, we had trouble getting back to sleep for fear of it starting again.
Regarding the restaurant, we found it very noisy and not super organized. Many tables not set up when we arrived, coffee machine and orange juice not refilled in the morning, lack of enthusiasm and politeness on the part of many waitresses (Exception all the same for a waiter, a tall, very dark friendly and courteous with customers) discussions between waitresses about their low salaries while serving and in front of customers. Special mention for a waitress who actually served herself from a dish to snack on and with her hands of course! Also be careful if you arrive at 1:30 p.m. to eat (no choice because our daughter had ski lessons until 1:15 p.m.), lots of empty dishes, no more glass and clean plate so pressure every lunchtime so as not to arrive too late and be sure of still have something to eat. Oh yes and if you want to drink soft drinks while eating (coke, apple juice etc.) you have to go back to the bar and go down with your drink to the restaurant, which is not very practical!
Otherwise for the positive points, the hotel is well located and the hostesses at the concierge desk are very helpful, the same goes for the team at the bar!
In conclusion, return to Avoriaz Yes but not to Belambra!

A first at Belambra Avoriaz and we validate 100%
Accustomed to the club med, we were not disappointed
Except the size of the rooms is very small and the housekeeping service is a bit sparse…
It would be good to equip the beds with fitted sheets and not with simple sheets which fall apart in the night and as there is no mattress cover on the mattress..
But ultimately it’s a detail, the rest was great! Nikel buffet atmosphere super congratulations to Flo your entertainment but above all your show be proud of yourself 👍
@Quentin you have a future in this profession you will end up far away: singer director 😉
A special dedication to the bar team
@thibald @louis @Salomé we are leaving disgusted to leave you, you are very professional and helpful, enjoy a nice meeting despite our age gap 😉
See you soon in the south, can’t wait…
And Bellambra Avoriaz see you next year for sure!

+1
Fabulous French club hotel with amazing and talented animation team led by Marion. Terrific food in the large restaurant with great choice from a quality buffet and freshly cooked to order fish and meat options from Thierry and his team in the L'Atelier. Hotel is well located on the topside of Avoriaz with views across the town and central plaza. Front facing rooms have a SW aspect with amazing sunsets. Ski room and hire shop directly accessible from the pistes with a steam room and sauna and a sunny terrace. Standard Rooms are basic and compact but clean and well equipped with comfortable beds and separate bathroom and toilet.
The hotel is well run with happy, helpful and hard-working staff. We upgraded to the all-inclusive package which was great value with all drinks included. This meant lots of work for the busy bar team. As they already provide wine at lunch and dinner, bar service could be improved with a more limited range of drinks available for all-inclusive guests. We were surprised that cocktails and spirits were included making it effectively a free bar. Full board with wine would have been more than adequate, but nonetheless we had a fantastic holiday and loved the Belambra Club experience.

Booked through Crystal and slightly apprehensive when advised it had gone down to 3 star and it was all inclusive. However all our expectations have been met . The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is good quality. Especially like the burgers onnthe terrace at lunch time and waffles and crepes after skiing.
A large boot room with individual racks for each room . Good ski in and ski out location .
Used the free sauna and steam room after skiing.
Rooms are small and have been refurbished . Servicing is minimal but ie bins emptied and loo roll changed but this doesn't detract from the experience.
