Checked in on a Thursday evening for one night before flying home. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and on entering our room we were pleasantly surprised at the size. Full double and a double sofa bed for our daughter. The only issue I had (and this is important for me) was the A/C. It would not go below 27c. The girl on reception thought this was cold enough but for a Brit this was baking temperature. I thought I might cool down in the shower but there was no cold water or at least I couldn’t get it to go cold as the dial wouldn’t go lower than 30c. The staff did try to get us another room but that was even warmer!! All in all a very unpleasant stay with virtually no sleep before a 7 hour flight back to Qatar. I will not be staying here again despite the lovely staff. Not recommended.…
I booked this hotel as part of a trans Europe holiday with my son. We missed our flight from Paris to Madrid due to awful traffic heading to CDG airport. I called the hotel at 7pm requesting a cancellation ( I had a cancellable booking, but the cancellation cutoff time is 4pm the day prior to expected arrival). I spoke with Christina, a very courteous lady indeed. She got back to me at 11:30pm to say that after running the request up to her manager, they had decided to release me from the booking. On a trip where I was nickel and dimed by other IHG hotels, I had to highlight the client empathy that this hotel showed. It was much appreciated.
Do not be fooled, this hotel is no where near the airport. On top of the booking fee you have to add 2 x €30 taxi fees to the airport, so count this into the cost. The Hotel itself is not too bad, rooms were ok, cleanliness good. A mention about the Staff, very very helpful and polite. The Staff are the best thing about the hotel, so to those Staff I say thank you. We had booked a room for our return but instead just gave up the booking, losing €75, and booked a room in Madrid for €55, saving us a little.
When I first entered the lobby of the hotel I immediately scented a bad scent! The rooms poorly tidy and the floor is not not clean.. I have been into several holiday in express hotels this one is the worst
This hotel was booked for 2 nights for 2 adults and 2 children. The room promised compromised of a king bed and sofa bed that sleeps 2. The sofa bed was the same size as a single bed. Spoke to reception who didn't speak good english and refused to help. No manager available to speak to. Spoke directly to IHG but instead of dealing with the problem they kept disconnecting our calls. Pay a little more and book with local hotels as they are much nicer.
