In a very central position in Alcobendas, this Hostal/Hotel its really clean, even if it's old. Clear and clean room with private bathroom. At the 3rd floor there is poor wifi, but at least there is a couzy private terrace. Breakfast could be better, there is no fresh food. I would recommend it.
I booked this small Hostal to be near the airport and the Feria De Madrid conference centre. Very friendly welcome and shown a a very adequate room which was very clean. As I was alone, on business it was perfectly fine. Breakfast is basic with coffee, toast meats and cakes etc, but at only €3! I asked about somewhere to eat in the evening and was directed to a small tapas bar some 30m away. I received a nice welcome and ate like a King for €18, including several beers and finished with a brandy and a cafe solo. Taxi into the city will cost around €25 but public transport is good and cheap. Give it a try if you dont want to stay in a sterile corporate hotel - real Spain is much better.
All in all not bad but our room was a little tired and nothing like the photo's on the web site. They had a bar but this was never open and when we did ask they said 'not until tomorrow' if I had known about this I would have packed my travel kettle, bottles of water were warm as the there was no fridge in our room either. There was a constant supply of hot water in the bathroom which was one good thing The 1st breakfast was good but this was not the case for the remainder of our stay as the cooked ham and cheese disappeared and the orange juice machine dried up. There was sliced bread and a toaster and plenty of pre-packed cakes. Good location for Metro and a few local bars. We had to pay 20 euros' to extend our room until 7pm as we had a late flight home. I would not want to stay at this place for longer than out x3 night trip but it was OK for that but not somewhere I would recommend to friends.…
The distance.. Great staff...each one of them were great... Very friendly. We checked out and went to seville. We had lie of luggage and didn't want to carry them to seville. Even after checking out, they allowed us to keep out baggage for 2 more days... The lady, (Deborah) was very friendly and helpful. He did help us to explore the area in a very effective way. It was 1 hour ride from sol... That was the only downside of it... I already have stayed twice in this hotel and i will stay in the same place next time too.
Really great location, quiet area, the owners are so sweet and they will definitely recommend places for you to visit. The area surrounding it has some pretty intense hills, but the area has some really great parks and events that are around it and it's very close to the metro station.
