Expensive compared to other times of the year. Not recommended to elderly folks. No lifts. We had to walk up 3 floors to the attic. Nothing great. Poor ambience. Reception did not informe us of the pool and services available. The location was good near to the main square and tourist sites. Car can be parked outside the hotel.
My wife gave me a couple of winter relaxing days on this cozy beautiful Hotel and the best food I have tasted for a long time. I highly recommend 'croquetas' and 'arroz con leche'; Best ones I've had. And I've had many of those all around Spain as I'm a fan of both dishes. I was surprised by an exquisite fried cheese dish one thousand times better than the best provolone and by fresh home made butter at breakfast. The whole menu is wonderful and you taste and see on it all the love and care the cook/owner puts on her work. I will certainly go again to try it all ;-) This place is a MUST I highly recommend to all 'gourmands'
This is a fine hotel in a decent setting in the old town just round the corner from the Plaza mayor. Rooms were clean, elegant and comfortable. The staff were excellent, friendly, welcoming and helpful. It was peaceful, with good food and a secluded, small swimming pool, which was a boon after a warm day wandering Almagro. Definitely recommneded
