We stayed here for one night before traveling to the wilds of the Petan. It was very reasonably priced and clean. The beds were awesome and the AC was cold. Pay the few dollars extra for the Deluxe room. It is definitely worth it!

I recommend to stay at the room with balcony, The lake view from balcony is excellent. I saw some traveller jogging around the island, and I indeed think it is a good idea. There are many restaurants and shops at the walking distance. We could also find some traditional massage near the hotel.

To preface, my stay at Hotel Villa Del Lago was an overnight layover. I checked in late afternoon, having made reservation online at an earlier date, and checked out before sunrise to make an early flight. That said, my check in was without hiccup and the staff, as mentioned by other reviewers, were very friendly and helpful. My Spanish is...

We chose this hotel because the reviews said it was on the quiet side of town and that it would have good views of the expanse of Lake Peten Itza at sunset. Unfortunately we did not get to enjoy the evening views from the second floor terrace, because we arrived after sunset from a long day of exploring in Peten....

(+) We had a very nice room 201 with excellent view on the Peten Itza lake. It is breathtaking in the morning, when sun rises if there is no fog. Very friendly and responsive guy at the reception explained us how to get to Tikal (80 quetzal p.p.return trip), organized transportation to Belizean border. Surprisingly we had a safety box...

When you are in a town like Flores where there is a serious hustle going on in every direction for transport to out of town destinations, it is reassuring to know that the front desk people are reliable brokers for this needed accommodation. Staff is friendly but English is definitely not their primary language. The breakfast was pleasant with enough...

This is by no means a luxury hotel, but then for what you pay it is very good value. Location is really good and staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is extra so we decided to go elsewhere to get something we actually wanted for the same price or even less. Wifi was good throughout the hotel. And best...
