I won't repeat everything that others have said, other than to say this is a very smart lodge hotel with modern clean rooms and a fabulous lakeside setting. The only thing that lets it down is an uninspiring menu of bland tasteless food, which seems to be a feature of STP, the company that owns the hotel (having stayed in...

We stayed here for 2 nights to visit Tikal. the setting was lovely on a lagoon and lots of wildlife. the staff were very helpful and the food was great. The rooms are fairly functional but the outside area is lovely and there is a pool and a nice eating/bar area as well as grounds to walk in. It is...

This resort-like hotel is located by the lake and set within a nature/wildlife reserve. There are lots of greenery and the sounds of nature. Flores and Santa Elena is a 15 minute drive away. The property itself is nice looking with several low rise blocks (each block consisting of 6 villas) spaciously spread out, blending within its natural surroundings. Checking...

It's a little out of town - about 10 minutes drive, but more than makes up for that with the great setting. Extensive grounds on the lake shore, with a number of walkways. Wildlife included howler monkeys, toucans, crocodiles, kingfishers and many other birds as well as a deer enclosure. A scarlet macaw feeding station guaranteed close-up viewing. Nice pool...

Good heavens, this is far better than we expected. At last, after half a dozen hotels, a hotel in Central America that offers a stunning room that might fetch $800+ per night in the Far East. It was in the newly opened C-block - a cottage with classy fittings, fabulous flooring, a double-bed, proper lighting, walk-in shower, separate WC and...

Rooms were huge and the shower much the same. Enjoyed the food in the restaurant and the view over the lake at breakfast is gorgeous. I enjoyed seeing the crocodiles and turtles whilst eating my bacon and eggs. The staff seemed a bit tired of the guests but no real complaints. I'd stay there again. Too busy sight seeing to...

This hotel is placed in a nature reserve With the possibility to see Wildlife as crocodiles and deers, but it is very isolated from urban life. It is a popular hotel for big tourist Groups. There is a swimming pool area. One has to walk a bit from the rooms to the reception area and restaurant area, and it is...

This hotel is in a lovely setting right on a lake a little way outside Flores; it has some wildlife (including a crocodile in the lake) and good birdlife; there are walking trails but beware the 'long' trail is indeed long: over 15km which we didn't realise until we had set off! It would actually help if they gave you...

While visiting the Tikal region of Eastern Guatemala, we stayed yprwice nights at this gem in the jungle. Don't expect marble floors or gourmet resturants. Distinctive rooms set ups. Basic but you'll have everything you'll need to relax and enjoy the quiet of the lagoon and nature. Food was basic, service very friendly and attentive. After hiking through the humid...

Rooms are all very clean and comfortable, with a fridge full of cold drinks and AC. No TV, but I love that!! The place is very Eco friendly, yet lacks no comfort. Retaurant is good and the service is great. Guatemalans are all very friendly and strive to serve and make your stay special. Order the Guatemala Style tacos with...
