A very comfortable hotel, with stand-alone units along the lake, each with 4 units and a balcony. Spacious and comfortable, with a refrigerator for keeping our water cold. Beautiful pool and surrounding deck, next to outdoor restaurant/lounge where our buffet dinners were served.

This resort is a large property built on the shores of the lake that takes advantage of the natural surroundings in the area. The rooms are located in four-plex bungalows with a balcony overlooking the lake. The room was large with good twin beds, very dim bed lights and ample luggage space. The bathroom was divided in two with a...

The accommodations at Villa Maya are simple yet adequate. The staff is very friendly and eager to accommodate you. Hairdryers are kept at the front desk and safes are available as well. The location is beautiful, with each room looking out on a scenic lake. There is no swimming in the lake, except if you are a crocodile. There are...

We spent two nights at this hotel while on tour. Beautiful setting with lovely view of the lake from our room. Wi-Fi was spotty from our room, but able to pick up in lobby area. Pool was nice and service was excellent. No safes in room but they have individual ones in the front office.

We were part of a group of 16 travelers and it appeared that no two rooms were alike. Ours had two twin beds against each other in a large room, with a very large bathroom and a deck on the back. As noted by others, there was no TV, but we did have wi-fi in our room, possibly because it...

Beautiful hotel by the Laguna (crocodiles included!). Zen and quiet: no TV in rooms and the WiFi connection is not always good. No safe in rooms. Big and nice swimming pool. Excellent buffet breakfast (very tasty crêpes). Friendly service. Perfect location to visit Tikal and Yaxha.

Located in the heart of the forest near the lake. All rooms have a lake view but, in most cases, it is hidden by the trees. Large rooms but require urgent renovation. Air conditioning is good. WIFI is slow and does not comes strongly to all rooms. You must be kept close doors in the evening but even so there...

Spent 2 days at this complex while visiting Mayan ruins. Rooms are spread out along river and each have a great balcony to sit and enjoy the forest. Can hear noise of monkeys and birds. Hotel provides outdoor seating for eating, has great pool, and very comfortable place to relax.

We were here as a part of a tour. We loved our clean, spacious room. Not having a tv was part of the ambiance. Wifi worked fine in the main areas. Balcony overlooked the jungle and part of the lake. (We were in building 700 - as far from the reception area and restaurant as one could be. Fine with...
