I was driving through the area on vacation and decided to stop for the night. Initial impression was the price was a bit high when comparing to Hampton Inn, Holidays, etc. They charged the same rates. I have a service dog that accompanies me. They wanted to charge me extra for having him with me. When I turned to leave,...

I headed into town on a Thursday, not realizing that there was a cinema festival and a wedding going on that weekend, so all of the places were booked. Luckily, the guys at Food Shark sent me over to the Riata and I got the last room for the night. The manager/owner was very friendly and made some suggestions for...

We recently travelled to Marfa for a wedding and stayed in the Riata inn based upon location and reasonable pricing. We were very pleased with our stay. The rooms were spacious, very clean with wooden flooring and the staff were incredibly accommodating. We were even encouraged to borrow the bikes on premises to tour around town. We were greeted with...

Very friendly staff and clean, spacious rooms. Perfect for simple, quiet, good motel stay in Marfa. Slept great, no noise. The front desk was really friendly! We'll definitely stay here again next time.

We were traveling through with our dog. It was pet friendly and one of the most affordable to check out marfa for a 1 night stay. It was older, but clean and comfortable which was great. But my biggest complaint was how thin the walls were. It's a motel, so the door faces the outside. I get that. But I...

I didn't expect much since all the properties in Marfa are overpriced, but this room did NOT have these things that are usually provided by other motels: tissues, hangers, hair dryer, coffee maker, breakfast, and no smoke detector - is that even legal?. It did have a microwave [we didn't need to use it] and a small refrigerator that leaked...

I have to admit I was pretty skeptical after reading the reviews, but my husband and I stayed here two nights ago because everything else was booked out and really expensive in Marfa. The hotel is under new management as of Tuesday. Cameron and his wife Ana are really trying hard to turn the place around and are really nice....

Under badly needed construction. Construction materials left in room. Cleaning staff did not provide daily cleaning service. Front desk staff not available for assistance. Would not recommend this hotel.

I have stayed here several times while traveling cross country by motorcycle. It is one of the few places to find a room in Marfa and it is a quick driving distance to the Marfa lights. Sometimes the stays are nice, and at other times, the room needs some attention. So ... it is often the "luck of the draw".
