The room was huge! Two double beds and yet there was actually enough room that another bed could have fit in the room. The beds were comfy. Nice and quiet. No breakfast and you have to drive into town for anything. Otherwise would recommend. Not sure if the pool is open in the summer.

This is a motel, so don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. The people were friendly, and the room was relatively clean. Our first room was obviously a smoking room, so be sure to ask if you want non-smoking. They quickly moved us to another room that had just been painted, so it smelled strongly of fresh paint, but...

In mid-November, I attended a destination wedding in Marfa, TX. Since I drove from Galveston, TX, the scenery along the way was breath taking. The Riata Inn is on the outskirts of the very small town of Marfa and offered me a room without a reservation and immediately made me feel at home! The room was quite large, had a...

If you need a place to stay, this will do, but I wouldn't go out of my way recommend it. I only gave it 2 stars because of the location, otherwise I would have rated it lower. We had issues with doors that wouldn't lock, the rooms we were staying in were under construction WHILE we were in them, and...

This is one of the least expensive places to stay in Marfa, and it meets your needs. It is clean, spacious, quiet, and even has a fridge. The owner was really nice and reduced our price since the internet wasn't working (which she informed us about; she reduced the price on her own without us asking) at the time we...

If you're looking for luxury, or rooms typical of chain hotels, this is not the place. It's a Mom and Pop type place, super basic, not the kind of property that makes you want to hang out and relax on the grounds or in your room. But, if you just need a clean place to sleep and shower and put...

I hadn't planned on staying the night in Marfa, so it was after 11pm when I arrived in town. I had read about this place in Lonely Planet, so I decided to give it a try. The lady on reception was lovely - warm, friendly and helpful. The price was a bit steep for the quality received, but it is...

The location of this hotel is excellent, right on the outskirts of the city. Plus, it's dog friendly so you can travel with a furry companion. My dog loved the vastness of the landscape. There are so many wonderful attractions nearby, including several art galleries, stores, the McDonald Observatory. The hotel is next to the Marfa Lights viewing area. The...

My recent stay at the Riata Inn was extremely disappointing! The property was poorly maintained: the front lobby door was weathered and appeared to be salvaged from a residential property and the doorbell was missing. I paid $99 for a large room that had scuffed and worn random furnishings, and an extra large box containing a bathroom vanity took up...
