It is a beautiful location. WE were looking forward to a great weekend. Aftre a wonderful breakfast we went kayaking and upon returning were greeted very rudely by the manager and stated we needed to leave immediately. She said we had only paid for one night and the room was being given to another client. The policy is 2 night... More

We found this B&B online after searching Google. We have stayed at a few B&B's in the past and most times our expectations were not met. This time however, our expectations were exceeded. It is an easy drive from the DFW area. This place is just a 5 minute drive outside of Llano. We drove up and were instantly pleased... More

The facility is new and looks wonderful, but you have to walk 100 yards minimum with your bags to the hotel. Then if your on the second floor walk around the building, through the pool area, and up treacherous stairs. The River view rooms have no view. The main issue was the owner of the property. She asked the kids... More

Let me first say that the service you will get at Walden is first rate. I booked a room for 2 nights for our anniversary, and the manager, Deborah asked if there were any special accomodations that we would need. After telling her that it was our anniversary, she asked what time we expected to be in, and I told... More

My wife and I live in the Houston area and decided on a spur of the moment trip to the TX Hill Country. Booked this place after reviewing it on-line (Waldenplantation.com). Spent 3 nights at this newer (1-2 yrs old) B&B just outside of Llano, TX. Walden has river front property directly on the Llano River (a spring-fed, crystal clear... More

Stayed at the Walden Plantation on the 4th of July and it was fantastic. I found it on the internet and it looked perfect for what we were looking for. The internet doesn't do it justice. It is like a luxury hotel with the river running behind it. The staff was very welcoming and very accommodating. The place is about... More

Walden Plantation is a truly relaxing and gratifying experience that will have you checking out on the final day of your stay with a feeling of never wanting to return back to reality. The owners and staff members are very professional with only your happiness and comfort on their minds. I like to think of it as a small piece... More

Walden Plantation is the epitome of rest and relaxation...seriously. I usually do not take time to write reviews, but this place fully warrants my time and attention to do so. Visually, it looks like an upscale, luxury Texas plantation that still manages to fit beautifully into the Hill Country environment. The rooms are very nicely appointed with WONDERFUL beds, big... We enjoyed the Texas hill country with an anniversary weekend at Walden Plantation. The setting was beautiful along the Llano River. We enjoyed the view of the river and hills from the pool, spa and while kayaking. The weekend was very relaxing and definitely worth another visit.
