Whether you want to stay in a 100 year old bed & breakfast or a train 'caboose', you will be treated the same way. The management couldn't be more accommodating. Our room was very spacious with a small kitchenette, which included a microwave, refrigerator, cooktop and fridge, along with all the pots and pans you would need. The air conditioning...

We came with four other families and had a blast. We rented all the train cars. Loved the boats to borrow and the little picnic area in front of each train. Had a good meal at the restaurant as well. Highly recommend this adorable place. Only negative thing I could say is that the website does not do it justice!...

If I could rate this more that 5 stars I would. Completely charming main hotel rooms, cabins of various sizes and train caboose cars as well. My friend and I shared the Live Oak Cabin for four days. We did not want to leave. It's large with a full kitchen and very large screened in porch with views of the...

I stayed at The Antlers the weekend of February 17 to 20, 2017 for a small reunion. I booked the Mt. Laurel cabin which was listed as a two person cabin. Check in was easy. I'd reserved my stay months before over the phone directly with the hotel. 50% of the total cost was due at the time of the...

We had a great 3 day weekend stay at the Antlers. My family of 4 stayed in the Plum Suite; we made a 5 hour drive to get there and were lucky enough to check in an hour and a half early. That was a huge blessing since we were travelling with a cranky, tired 19 month old who absolutely...

We celebrated our anniversary with a night at The Antler's Inn. We stayed in the yellow caboose. The caboose was very nice. Not much wi-fi in the caboose, but plenty outside. Small fridge and 2 burner stove. Bathroom is small ( maybe not good if you are claustrophobic) but has what one needs. Once you find the switches there is...

This is an old train station hotel, now on the shores of manmade LBJ Lake. Beautiful rooms and grounds, in a relatively quiet corner of Kingsland Texas. Helpful staff. It has access to the water, but don't necessary expect peaceful reverie at the lake: it's full of oversized cottages, gigantic boats and jet skis. Resto adjacent.

The rooms are quaint, clean and comfortable. We had no problems with arriving late and getting to our cabin. The cabin was very comfortable, with full kitchen, living room, washer dryer it cetera. We could have stayed longer and been very comfortable.

My husband and I stayed in the yellow caboose this weekend. The resort is easy enough to find (we came from Houston) and we checked in shortly after 3pm and the caboose was ready. The air conditioning was on too which was great. The cabooses are quite close together (as they are on a track) and each one has a...

The Antlers is a historical inn located in Kingsland, Texas. What you may not know, is it is also an old train depot! On the grounds, you can stay in the old train depot, a McKinley Coach train car, or one of three cabooses! We took our 2 year old and 4.5 year old boys here for a getaway and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Antlers Inn invites you to experience the conveniences expected in the modern day combined with the allure of history. We are located at the junction of the Llano and Colorado Rivers, on Lake LBJ, in Kingsland, Texas. While enjoying your stay with us, stroll amongst our spacious lawns, reflective gardens, and shady wooded areas. Antlers Lake LBJ Park, along the water frontage of Lake LBJ, includes picnic tables, a dock for fishing and canoe launching, or open areas for relaxing. Three different styles of accommodations are here for your choosing. Traditional hotel rooms with private baths, one to three room cabins and cottages, or train cars fully updated to accommodate overnight stays. Guests will enjoy dining at our restaurant, Grand Central Café, for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and cocktails at the Club Car Bar. The Antlers Hotel is a Texas Historic Landmark Hotel and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The railroad opened the Antlers Hotel in 1901 for tourists arriving by train. This stately two-story building surrounded by porches is an elegant choice for visitors to Kingsland in the Hill Country. The original hotel offered luxury by the rivers, and we are proud to continue that tradition today. ... more   less
