Not worth it. I had over 75 bites from two nights...and maybe more except I had to go to the hospital for a steroid shot to shut my immune system doen because my body was so overwhelmed with the histimine response. Hundreds of dollars in doctors bills to deal with this. And the worst itching I have ever experienced. Not...

After reading reviews for this place before I went I wasn't expecting much. That and it's only $15 a night! It is rough round the edges and just needs a good clean up. But you get what you pay for. The beds were fine and the bedrooms work. The reception is only open 8-10am and then 5-11pm so if you...

good value for the money. the rooms were clean, the bathrooms could use some attention, good museum location. the best part, is chris gallegos, the nite manager, he is wonderful, he gives good directions, good restaurant reccomendations, and even carries my bags. The marriot should hire this guy| Thanks Don S. Fort Collins Colo.

Starting with the positives, the man working reception during their limited hours was friendly and helpful. Advising us on ways to get around Houston and offering to look after our valuables whilst we were out. The location is close to the museum district which has a tram service. The building looks dilapidated from the outside and when we reached inside...

Bought the dude that worked the desk dinner and then drove him home. Super nice guy. Then got decimated by bed bugs. Had no experience with them so thought it was a rash from the weird sheets. Traveled on to stay with friends and brought the bugs to them. Horrible, horrible experience. Called the hostel to talk to my friend...

The good. $15 for one night and $25 for your own private room.. About 10 mins from Downtown on the Metro Rail which is a few blocks away from the hostel. A nice area. You can actually check in at 8am-10am if you arrive in Houston extra early. The staff seemed decent The bad.. The actual hostel looks like it's...

I was returning from a 3-month trip, stopping by in Houston to visit some friends. I found this hostel online, and it was very conveniently located. So after returning from the supposed third world, I spent one night here. I woke up with no fewer than 50 bed bug bites all over my body. On top of that, nobody is...

I have probably stayed in about 20 hostels in the US and this was by far the worst - in fact, I really don't know how it's still operational. I can only assume the people leaving gushing reviews are friends of the manager or have been paid to do so. As soon as I walked through the door, I was...
