When have you ever went to a hotel and had the front desk charge your card for the room without stating the room rate? Well they did that here and then showed us the price we paid afterwards, we were immediately frustrated because the rate was $20 more at the front desk then paying online and they didn't care to...

Had an excellent overnight experience at the Magnolia as I was in H-town for a work conference. The hotel has been refurbished but still has the elegant and sturdy feel of a building constructed in the 1920s. Staff was helpful at every time and was most accommodating with the nightly happy hours and breakfast buffet. The rooms were large and...

A very well-managed property. Take advantage of the weekend rates, when you can get a 4-5 star room for the price of a 2-3 star room. Excellent location. I've stayed here on five occasions, and whenever I come to Houston, booking the Magnolia is a no-brainer.

2nd time I've stayed at The Magnolia for business. A quiet room, comfortable bed, everything worked, helpful staff, and free internet? What's not to rave about?

We really enjoyed our stay and it's absolutely true that the rooms are top quality, they really are excellent value. A few things - the reception area and 2nd floor restaurant area is really very dark - and I'd say this isn't necessary, it gives quite a different impression of the hotel. I also have to say you get quite...

Spent our anniversary at the Magnolia last night. Checked in a few hours before official check-in time without any problem. Hit the roof-top pool for some pre dinner R & R. There was a guy running drinks and food to guests. Received a complimentary bottle of champagne from the front desk for our anniversary. Hooked up with the valet guys...

Lovely city retreat; amazing rooftop pool and hot tub (a little oasis above the busy streets), free wine and beer happy hour each night, free cookies and milk between 8 and 10pm - lovely little touches to make the stay feel special. Only complaints; small breakfast plates and room on arrival smelled of smoke (despite ordering non-smoking room), but they...

Room was great and quiet- no hall noise! Valets are fast. A shuttle service is offered to nearby spots but you can take a cab for about 5 bucks anywhere in downtown. Bars /restaurants/Minute Maid park/GRB convention all within walking distance. Cafe right downstairs. I love the rooftop pool- it's a little small but it's BYOB and the view is...

I got the chance last month to stay at a Magnolia hotel for the first time, and it was a first class experience. The rooms were large and well-appointed, and the staff was very helpful. The valet team is exceptional, and they will offer rides to nearby Minute Maid Park, even though it was only a five-minute walk. The milk...
