We went to see the ICE exhibit at the Gaylord. It was interesting, but I was disappointed in the quality of the exhibit. Some other comments.
I spent time online trying to determine where in the hotel the exhibit was located. Finally found it was...More
My husband and I visited Wednesday, December 13th through Friday, the 15th. We took our 5.5 month-old baby and had a great time. We anticipated crowds and lots of chaos but it was the opposite of that, there was hardly anyone. Our room was located...More
I'm writing another review, in hopes someone from the Gaylord actually reads this.
To give the Gaylord a 'poor, two star' review seemed a little unfair. But the average, 'three star' seemed a little generous to me.
My husbands company held their holiday gala here...More
The hotel is massive and beautifully decorated. We did the online check in and since we did that there was no real directions given on what wing we were in, the code for the parking garage, etc. so if we ever stayed there again, I...More
Family fun, especially for children, impressive sculptures. Avoiding crowds is a must. Being trapped in a Disneyland like line sucks the fun out of the experience. Go during the week while school is in session, if at all possible.

If you are referring to the resort credits that come with some reservation packages when booking room reservations, the package resort credits can be used towards any incidentals including parking, dining and shopping. It will not be applied towards the room rate or resort fee or taxes for the two.
If only partial credit is used then the remaining credit is lost. For example, if the incidental is $35 and nothing more is signed off to the room, then the remaining $15 dollars is forfeited. I advise to read the details of the package credits because some packages allow $50 per day NOT to exceed $100 regardless the length of stay, while others only offer $50 regardless the length of stay. The resort credit will not be applied until check-out to ensure that the charges qualify for the package credit, you will need to visit the front desk prior to departure to receive a final folio.

There is a charge for parking - up to $22 per day (it’s by the hour). For free, you can see all the decorations in the Gaylord hotel - train set up too. There is a scavenger hunt for like $12, which would give you opportunities to explore. There are toy soldiers on stilts that roam and you can get pics done. As far as ice, you could just watch the snow tubing and activities. You can get in to see the ice exhibit.
