Decided to stay here for New Years and apoun our arrival to check in the lady at the front desk was sleeping In a room and had an attitude about it when we asked her if she was asleep. We make it up to the hotel room. Clean and seems good until someone decided to use the bathroom and realized the toilet was broken and wouldn’t stop filling with water. The shower water wasn’t even warm or hot it was cold. We took a trip to grab something to eat and when we got back our key card wasn’t working so we decided to go to the front desk. We sat there waiting for 15 minutes and no one came out we finally went up to the room and the key card finally worked. I thought I had lost my wallet so I went downstairs to look for it and when I saw the front desk lady her eyes were bloodshot red! She was either high or asleep. I asked her if she had seen a wallet down there and she looked at me like I was stupid and said nope so I went ahead upstairs and my boyfriend went down there and she wasn’t even there again! So he went and looked behind the counter to see if it had fallen and when he was walking away she got all angry and upset and told him he couldn’t be over here and that he needed to return to his room. She was asleep!! Wasn’t even there to help us, she had the worst attitude when we just needed simple help. Needless to say we will not be returning here ever again and I advise no one does either. We just checked out Today January 2nd 2021- Ryan Olvera

Was there in June with my friend Linda Dame for a bff beach getaway. Our room was on the 3rd floor. Clean, Quiet and the beds were amazing! We love the parking in back with quick access to the elevators. Never a wait. My hubby and I have a room booked for quick getaway soon. Can't wait to come back! (We didn't go downstairs for breakfast as we brought our own food but did hear others commenting it was well done!) See ya soon Hampton Inn! Kind regards, Janice Smith P.S. Order a Papas pizza for pickup or delivery! Soooo good!

We checked late Friday afternoon. Had a nice night. We had to change rooms due to water leak in the ceiling. They gave us another room no problem. This was the best hotel we have ever stayed at. Nice breakfast whatever they have that morning they fix it for you. I recommend this hotel to others. We will stay there again next time we go to Galveston.

Past reviews did not give this hotel justice. It is very clean modern, with good service. Management acknowledged the health crisis and was able to provide a safe comfortable stay for us. Checked in by the amiable Eric who acknowledged us as honored diamond members. Excellent customer service is important to us and loyalty goes both ways. Our spacious two queen room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We appreciated that housekeeping applied a sanitary seal on the door indicating that it was serviced. Daily Housekeeping, due to the crisis, was upon request only. Staying two nights we chose not to have housekeeping believing that they were busy enough working exceptionally hard. My hope is that guests acknowledge this and tip them well even if rooms are not cleaned daily and that management is financially compensating their staff for working diligently through the health crisis leaving their homes and families to take care of us. They are true heroes! The amenities provided were typical for this brand. Our room had a refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom was modern with a walk in shower. It was very strange to me that there was no shelf or soap dish. Where does one put their shampoo and soap? Our room had a spacious balcony with gulf view. We sat out there in the evening enjoying our takeout dinner while a refreshing sea breeze made for a comfortable evening. Due to the health crisis 24 hour coffee was not available. Breakfast however was served by a hard working women who had everything prepared and ready to serve us by 6AM. We appreciated her efficiency and kindness my only regret is that I do not recall her name. She should be accommodated. Our eggs were delicious and we especially loved the fruit smoothies. Be sure to check out the salt water fish tank in the lobby. Wi-Fi was adequate and complementary as was parking. Please see my attached pictures.
