Our credit card was charged $225.64 for "automobile parking and garage" by Scottish Inn, when we were told we had free parking at the hotel while on our 5-day Carnival Cruise. Sheronica, with Sister Shuttle, took out party of four, to the ship on Monday morning and picked us up that following Saturday morning, bringing us back to Scottish Inn to pick up our vehicle. (We were on the ship from Monday, 2-12-24 until Saturday, 2-17-24). We each paid Sheronica $20.00 for her to shuttle us, $80.00 total), PLUS, we tipped them $30.00, and the other 2 people with me and my husband ALSO tipped the shuttle drivers), so roughly we paid $130-140 for them to get us to and from the ship. Again, one of the perks for staying there at the Scottish Inn there in Galveston was the perk of getting to park our vehicle there in the hotel parking lot, FREE OF CHARGE. But after returning home, I called my credit card company to reconcile my purchases on the Carnival ship, and discovered that Scottish Inn had charged my credit card on Wednesday, 2-14-24, for $225.64, and the description for the charge was "automobile parking lot/garage". I immediately called the hotel to inquire as to why I was charged, spoke to Sheronica, but she could not give me the reason, nor could she resolve it. She told me the owner, Taq Lamb, would be in on Tuesday, and they'd be getting to the bottom of it. I have not received ONE phone call back from ANYONE, although I have called them numerous times, trying to get answers. This is total incompetence, and very shady business to fraudulently charge someone's credit card four days after they had checked out of their hotel (and on the day they charged my card, which was on Wed. 2-14-24, Valentine's Day), I was ON THE SHIP, ON MY CRUISE. Just beware that someone working there at that hotel is obviously not being honest. I should have been contacted by SOMEONE to let me know how that happened and how they were going to correct it. I have had to cancel my credit card, for fear someone there at the hotel has my credit card information and could potentially use it again. I am also disputing the charge with my credit card company. I will NEVER use this hotel again! One other note: Being as I booked the hotel through Expedia, I called their Customer Service department and told them what happened. They opened up a case on them, because they said when THEY tried to call Scottish Inn to speak to them on this matter, they hung up on them.…
